Drink up, motherfuck what it could be over? They just want to see your boy in What up is d J E F And this drinks as motherfucker right now. When it comes to legends, when it comes to entrepreneurs, I kid you not, I promise you I'm not see fool y'alla. I'm not even exaggerating a little bit. I literally just came from Turks and Caickos and they had something called every channel that you had, they had that version of the Caribbean and everywhere I look wild and out. You know, I'm changing different channel. I'm trying to avoid wild. So I'm sitting back, I'm saying I know I know this season. I know this season, and and it's every rewhere and they've realized. I said, Holy moly, brocome moly, how proud I am of this next guest. Not only that the man has done dominated a rap career, dominated a movie career, continue use to dominate in every section that you can imagine. The nicker was on the mask singles one of them, I don't even know this spight ship. This ship is crazy. In case you don't know the funk I'm talking about, we're talking about the impeccable duck Duck. They do everything lick motherfucker cat. But yeah, I appreciate you, my brother. No, not real talk, real talk, bro, you really are the renaissance man. I totally forgot to mention radio. So what the funk makes you wake up? Like that? Everything? Like why you don't slow down a little bit a little bit? Man? I just should have gotta keeps cooking while the pot is hot, Like when you come from a hustling spirit, you just gotta get in there and like, yo, they're gonna keep giving me these opportunities. I'm gonna keep snatching it. And then it's you know, I've been through my ship to where people like you want to cancel you out and all of that. So then not I'm committing, but I'm not even talking about that ship. I'm talking about even just all my life wild jump in. I'm going about cancel coach can general in general. Like point I was worrying, No, no, but that's the thing you gotta always say tough. You know, tough times don't last. Tough people. Do you know what I'm saying. It's like I'm built for for the tough ship. The thing about you what immediately was I was glad you understood this is why we don't talk politics on this show. Yeah, well we do, but we we also also we also like we were super disclaimer. We don't know what ship, right, we see that right. But what's good about you was when you felt like you was naive to the situation, you admitted that to be No, absolutely, absolutely, And it was I say, you know, even because I was coming from my podcast, which is an educational platform that I started at Howard University, Appreciate You, and it was like really just bringing in professors and different people, like on topics that we discussed multiple topics, so it came from a place of education so if I was miseducated in any form, hey, let's talk about it. Let's figure it out. I only want to spit truth. I mean, the Minister said so many things that resonated with me when I got a chance to sit down with him all this, but the one thing that he said the most that stuck with me. He was like, I don't never want to say anything that isn't true. I don't want falsehoods to come out of my mouth. So if I'm saying something that isn't correct, first of all, yeah, I apologize, but show me, show me where what I because I believe what I said is the truth. And so where you get to that point, it's a it's a really an opportunity for education. And I always say it ain't about can just about council culture. Show somebody where you believe. If you're from a different community and y'all have disagreements, let's talk it out like otherwise. But just trying to get rid of a nigg Like who are you to try to get rid of anybody? So that's husy you and I go back to even whether it's that situation and I told you, you know, I'm on talk show now I was like, I don't know, I'm gonna get canceled again. But it ain't. It's never coming from a place in malice. Like when how y'all sitting bill here, ain't nobody really charging on nobody in a way with with discontent and hate. It's like, Yo, sometimes we're gonna say some ship because we're joking and it's funny. Sometimes we're gonna say some ship because we just literally don't know and we need to be educated. But I don't think even what we're trying to accomplish this specifically, even what's going on in hip hop right now, we're just trying to evolve. We're trying to grow, you know what I mean. We went from calling each other niggas every day and now we're calling each other's kings, you know what I mean. Like, that's that's real talk. You see, that's the new ship. Because you don't know that. You take that like like we say drunk facts on here just to to to make you know, an excuse, but to say that we're not gonna always be talking with shooting the ship like you're talking to your homies. You're not gonna always be a fact check on what you're saying. And that's the thing because now we live in a day and age where media is at everyone's fingertips. So just as you're talking ship, somebody can disagree with this ship you're talking. And now y'all don't win viral because this side believes this and this side believes that. So you know, there's a there's a different responsibility for this generation. But again, we can't be don't nobody know everything? Like And that's kind of where I come from a place when with all of this and even now having my own platform, I always say, man, you can learn so much more from listening. So in that, in that scenario, I want y'all do it beautifully, like y'all get cats up here talking mad hours and just like this is real ship. The reason why I want to ask you this question, I don't notice answer the week you went through what you went through. Glad TV quoted the minister who that was heavy. It was a big mistake, made a big mistake. He didn't get canceled. He got but he got it looked the other way but not canceled. You know what it is. I want you to fully understand what I'm like. He people said ah, cool, But there was nothing saying cancel, there's no more for black. Why what was the difference between yours and black? Honestly, it's the people with the power in that sense of like the idea of when our community comes together and say we're not messing with something, we gotta stand firm on what where our power lies. If it's our power influence, if it's our power numbers, if it's our empower, and as curators, that community can say no, that's not cool, no more. Where there's other communities where if actually the people, whether whoever it is, if if it's your employer, if it's someone, if it's the status quo, if it's the government, if it's the mob rule mentality, if someone says we gotta take that person's job from them, no, we have to take that. And that's where and that's why my issue would cancel culture altogether, because sometimes we get people who have strong opinions and then you get some people who just got strong pockets. Yeah, yeah, you gotta really like even when you think about like, are we here to truly punish people? Are we actually here for real repentance? You know what I mean? Are you really trying to help. Are you trying to go grow? Are you trying to are you just trying to teach a lesson? Are you trying to make an example out of somebody? That I think that's dangerous, And that's when that's why we have the culture of the penitentiaries now, Like if you even think about the word penitentiaries is the root of it is repentant to actually or even penance in that sense to where you're supposed to heal, You're supposed you supposed to go to these places to become better, not just using for storages to lock niggers up. So I think in that mentality, just see whether it's America just even a culture that we operated now they think teaching somebody a lesson or punishment is the right way. But if you really trying to heal, you're trying to reconcile, you're trying to you're trying to atone and exactly so I think, you know, it's just really us taking it our ours is like a small glimpse and not even a real problem because a rich person lost their job or somebody, you know, Like, but when you really think about our culture, where we're just so quick to blame, judge, and then punish. Where we don't even look like, we don't check ourselves. We don't look for growth in education and healing in the true process, and there's no conversation to to build like debate. And that's why our whole culture even right now is in a dismal place, from whether it is people getting locked up in the penitentiaries or even the lack of education in certain forms, and where we may speak out of turn and we may speak something because we're just searching. We're looking to grow and find ourselves. We want to we only want truth. We want to live our truth. We want to speak truth, we want to learn truth. But if it's if you've been brainwashing us for so many years and decades and got us going in the wrong direction, it's like, well, come on, man, we're really gonna get to it. Unless I want communities that are affluent show us how you got that way. I want the communities that own the block show us how like give us those same opportunities, you know what I mean. So, whether it's the idea of gentrification, whereas it's social equity, all of these things we got to really bring back and into our communities to our next young generation because niggas is getting money now, but now how you get money? Yeah, but how we keeping it? You know what I mean, Because we're getting it and then we're giving it right back to him. So it's like, yo, let's figure out how to And that's realistically, ain't buying they buying Gucci, They ain't buying an incredible estate. When I traveled, I've been like I went to Columbia, went to this this really bad neighborhood called right it's one of the when in men the Pablo escal Bar like that. It was really terrible and now it's open for tourism. And when I was there, the only words that came to mids reverse gentrification, because they the neighborhood was still intact, the people were still there, it wasn't hadn't changed, but they took control of their neighborhood and they made it almost like a tourist destination. And then hip hop is one of the biggest parts of it. It's like graffiti, the B Boys are the mcs, and I feel like that's something that we should lest here exactly, just really like and that's even I mean, you know, I'm doing my talk show out of Hard. I'm doing a Christmas movie and Hard like I'm really trying to rebuild Harlem. A is that entertainment oasis, that place like that's where all of our culture comes from. We wouldn't if I'm taking it all the way back to the jazz days, to the Renaissance dates, to those times where if if you were working uptown, if you were in Harlem, you know, every white folks was on Broadway downtown. But this is where our culture was bred from jazz music, which then came hip hop, where you know, from from stage and theater acting, which became the movie. So it's like, I'm just trying to show, you know, we have the really the invaluable, priceless equity in a place like a Harlem and in place like New Orleans, place like Atlanta, like when becomes the greater history of our country. On top of that, exactly our culture as a country, and like we were the ones that recorded the stories where the storytellers, whether it's in the form of poetry, whether it's in the form of music, whether it's in the form of just the Lengthston Hughes and the Maya Andel lose all of those types of people are the true Jaganism, the people who actually record as Grio's and uh in that sense for this generation. So I think even what y'all do here each and every episode, I'm learning, I'm hearing story that point we have really recording our history. But we're gonna we got to get straight to the point. Let's get the ship we got we got. It's called quick time with Slim and then we're gonna get to your you director. But twick time with Slim is you could pick one or two, all right, but if you pick one both, if you pick both, it's a shot. And this is even if I don't drink, I can't, I can't hit the blood. You can tell dream We we did it. The last time we did. We went to Wild. I wasn't there when y'all y'all drinking the restaurant. It was not our style. We did it for you, and I appreciated. Get you out of your style. Do you know what drink? So listen, and we got some black excellent sis. So I prefer you drink some rock. You had me drink hennessy lad when you get you drink though you drink made me drilling. You didn't even drink at all tasted. Come on, we're gonna drink some black excellence. So we got to prefer what do you mean, I don't know what. I prefer you coldrink being why you could drink my one? I don't know. Give me what happened that drink black? Give me the speak black Domerican excellent or Colombia Mexican excellent. We all think this was a shot. It's literally so I just got to play the game correct. But the game converg don't have to take a shot, but you should take a shot. This is what everyone for and we take a shot with you. I't to take a shot for you to ye, I'm gonna take a shot to you. We're gonna take a let's just start it off. Let's just let's just get the band aid off the ship. Jay Z, take your shot, easy, jay Z? Oh really? Oh? I don't think that was gonna be easy. That was easy, Okay. Respect A loyal to you? Respect because motherfucker ain't nobody loyal, so you might as well respect. I'm not expecting you to be loyal, but if they were loyal, they would respect you. Though if they wasn't disrespecting because you because ain't nobody loyal damn, but they ain't nobody's ship. I totally agree and disagree. I don't want to agree. I want to feel motherfucker's too loyal. But even still, I told you, and they still stay suspect suspect. That's even because they look, what are they loyal too? They just they just Lloyd don't know nothing else exactly. That's yeah, but everybody tell different. Alright, cool shit, alright, cool you to be off this one. You're taking the shot to all right, Tupaca DMX, that is definitely and just watching you gotta you gotta be even on this one. Take the shot, even take the shot, take the shot, Take the shot out of that. I'm gonna take this shot because as much as I love Tupac, as much as I admirebly the game he changed, he's the most influential black man since Martin Luther King in the last fifty years, there's no more influential black male than tupacs court. But I gotta go with DMX. I gotta go with X because about that before even say why your your answer was so good that I'm taking a shot for you. I'm taking the shot for you serve to take a shot for him. Now he right there, he right there. That's literally, bro, Bro, I got a chest. Yeah, that's that. Yeah, And that's and just one you thought you that's black, you bet you just on multiple occasions from you know, obviously we've you know, been in this for a minute, and even when I was a young dude in the game, just like trying to come up and seeing him, you know, backstage on toward the hard knock love, toward all of that stuff, and just watch how he operated, how he was a true general and a gentleman all at the same you know what I mean. Like the women, women loved them, respected him. They're like, remember, we wanted that respect. It's not money, power, loyalty. It's about going back to the respect, the level of respect that he had in the level of respect he had for people, so passionate all the way to cut the Twenty something years later, I get a random call when we're doing you know, the Doctor Savy interview, and he said he hearing all about all all this stuff from from that point to all of the stuff I started going through. X called me and I was like, man, I know you, I got your back be careful. You know what I mean. He's like they like like, He's like, I know what you up against. I salute you. If you ever need me, just out the blue and just like and and of course pray with me, you know what I mean. Like, So that's what I'm saying. As much as I love Tupac, I got, I admire Tupac, I love X like. That's a real one. So all right, let's keep keeping the move with Miami or l A. Are we just talking about whether women we whatever? Whatever the criteria your mind is, you can take a shot. Oh you know, Oh you can't remember you and Miam, have you asked me this about ten years ago? They definitely probably said, Miami, get it way too complicated, Okay, a cool wet all the reason, the West end fact. Okay, you gotta get home the nineties hip hop or two thousand nineties. That's a great question. So what would murder count said this one? I swear you gotta take a shot for this for real or call you Kanye he's quit. Yeah, and I work with the whoa day. I did not expect that I got a for real story too, but I wanted to do we might get no, I work with both of them, love and admire both of them, and people don't know I came in the game as like a producer DJ like that's I didn't even really want to be a rapper, but because I was on television and doing so, I really I was. I was jealous of how dope those dudes were, you know what I mean, like specifically Farrell and Kanye, and I felt like I actually met Pharrell first, and you know, rest in peace to a man. Chris Lyti he put me with. I was I was managed by Chris Lotty, so this is what late nineties, yeah, like nineties seven, I think it was something like that. Um and he was job yeah yeah, and Chris was my manager and he sent me. He said he flew me because I was young. I can't even I don't think I could fly by myself. He flew with me to Virginia and then he was like, I'm man introduced you to these kids out here in Nepportunes And he was telling me about he's working with Hues where he did the shake yass and all this stuff. And I just keep it real break That's what I'm saying. Like the number one number I'm gonna be a cat from the West Coast. I knew. I didn't know the producers were. I just know that was like a dope, interesting sound. And I hadn't put two and two together other that the same dude that ye doing this new jay Z record that was about to start, Like I'm hearing all of this stuff, and he was like, Yo, these are the dudes, And like I get to that like studio in Virginia and I see this dude with like this big belt buckle on a porn stash and the trucker hat. I was like, Yo, you're about to leave me with them? That it was for real? Yeah, yeah, the chat all at the same he was on his trucker ship at the time and then which fawned the whole fashion trip Dutch and all of that ship. So like he was always there, like ahead of his time and all of that. But I didn't know, Like literally, Chris flew. Chris had ship to do, he had real artists, and so he flew me and then flew and I was like, Yo, you're gonna leave me with fucking strangers, and yo, we got in the studio, we got to it, and it was it was interesting because I was wanting, you know, that gangster like and he gave me one like Michael Jackson. And this is like, there wasn't the net tune jet like. They was just they had one of two joints that was popping and he gave me some ship and so they were in the household name as producers. Nah he still had and that was the thing. It was funny they had and I hear hear about uh pushing T and Malice was both in the studio and they was like coming to help and I was like, no, I'm good. I got my own. He was like trying to say right now, what you're trying to say that they the ghost right? Yeah, don't nobody right for ghost right for Nick motherfucker kid. They was there and I was like, that's what you said. I respected. But I was like, yeah, I could get down on my own and you know, we was rapping doing all of that stuff. And they was like oh, because again in their mind, I was the kid from Nickelodeon. So and Chris Lottey was bring and he was like, you know, he's about to be big, He's about to go do a movie soon, and like this is this is this is the Holy Molly. Sorry, right, I was gonna say the Nigga version of it. I'm trying to stop saying. So this is the Black Molly. This fifteen years before Moy. But again, like and I had early on before that, I was signed to Will Smith. So that's why that moniker was like, he's the next Fresh Prince, He's the next Will Smith and that, and I was on Nickelodeon. So by the time I got dropped off to the net tunes, they had already had like the Little rug Rats theme in mind. I had prepared, but in the wrong way for you. Yeah, so, my mom, all I want to do is be a producer in the DJ DJ And since I was sixteen, I was like, I made my own b I played a record for for real and I had sampled uh LLL's Big Old but which is like it happened. Yeah, I just reversed it. Yeah, and it was it was dope. It was just like a loop and I had, you know, put the little reverse on it, and I had to. I kind of took the hook from you know, k Solos, your mom's and my business. You know, I was doing that ship and I was like, I'm flipping and was like, Yo, your pops don't like me. He don't like me. And I was doing this whole ship and it was a vibe. But for I was like, now we gotta go a little bit and he was like that's a little too hip hop. He's like, we gotta go for your audience with the kids want and like literally he gave me this ship. Ain't had no kid, no snare. That ship was like it was it was it was rugrats, but I was rhyming over it and like it probably would have worked. But like from that moment, I was like, yo, I see how people's vision to me are gonna be. For trying to change career, I gotta show people that I am the hip hop even though I get like, you know, I could check all of these boxes over here and it's like and I don't don't think about for I was like, we're gonna do this one, and we're gonna do the one that you want. He put it I think I had first. He was yeah, he wi up to like even his own career. He went, he knew what it was. I was just as a kid, always trying to run from that nickelodeon. You know, even Fresh Prince persona because I wanted to be a producer. I wanted to be I wanted to be Kanye, I wanted to be for real. I wanted to be these guys who had the opportunity to cross genres but at the same time be so influential into the hip hop culture because as a kid growing up Djan Ramping all of that, it's ah it kind of I grew up two spots. I was born and raised in San Diego, California, and then you know, I would go back and forth to North Carolina. You know, that's what my pop stage, like the whole Boys in the Hood story. My mom thought I was old enough to escape the gang violence in the in my neighborhood, shipped me out to North Carolina to my pops. But yeah, that's what's so you know that, I always said, that's that's my story when it comes to like Yo, even my entry into the game, like even like to be to be down with Violator man, it was a dream come true, Like I always every time I see Ard, we talked about it. Like the first time my medal was at Chris Lidy's house. I feel like it was like a Christmas party a holiday party. Yeah yeah, and in Jersey and like just I felt I had to violated a Rex the all black with the B on the back. I was like, yo, I'm hip hop. Yeah that and that was really like a time where that Yeah, Chris, I was in the I was in the tunnel with the violator jacket on. But you know, you know what I forgot. We were still you know, when we could we couldn't we had, but that was so it was so great I couldn't stop. Okay, this is a trick question. Okay, Oh, I'm gonna go with Mace. I gotta go with Maze, just because I'm I'm a Mazed fan, like just from like in Mace came before camp in Mies from what Let's just finish these quick time slim wind on Champagne on drinks and I go to Champagne. I probably have more champagne. Get you a shot, though already took one. Cardi B or Nicky Manaj Nicki Minaj Puff or dre oh oh and U West Coast damn shot a shot. I love it. I love you playing the game. I thought you wouldn't. I thought you wouldn't play the game. I love you play the game. Hold on, man, he already took it down. He got it over. Remember you gotta work today. Sho we work it right now? Podcasts or radio radio? How long the radio show been running? I mean I've been on radio since two since two thousand ten. But that's my syndicated show, you know, the one that power went on six probably last few years. We're not third years now, so it's been a while. That's what I said. Radio is when none of us be if it went for radio, absolutely, okay, major or independent. I'm gonna go with major first time. He man, Hey man, hey man, you gotta get one every once in a while. He count said that. I always say independent Queen La MC like, oh you can pull your own shots. Come on, you can't. You can't choose. Come on please? Now? Are we're going just mcs? I mean whatever? You you want to go light? Damn ain't you to do? Got to wear more hits then, Queen Latifa hits? Are we starting the conversation hit? I don't think I'm saying like Queen teeth Star, but she got of hits? What are you working about? I love ladies actually doing right now? That would be versus it would be clean. I don't I don't think that MC light not rock your party, ruck neck Georgie Porgy payment come on with Queen Latifa and you sing the body? Are you une? Forget that? You you got things? We're gonna we're gonna site the record, but I guarantee you that it's pretty at the least at the least press dressed to a press ready to party. You right, I'm just saying it's pretty. Cleiler teth is a bigger star, probably more influence EMC. Yeah, yeah, cleck Teva would say MC light, I don't think so. WHOA. I mean, maybe she would have to respect Nick going way too far and we ain't both him on out of both of them, but that would be an amazing versus it would be shift. You're gonna sponsor that on wilding out there? It is, and because mc light has been on wilding out multiple I'm I'm a Light fan. No, we like fans to j cole O Kinden, Oh, I actually have. I ain't gonna explain it. I'm gonna just go ahead and go Kendrick and I did. But yeah, I'm gonna ken because we're still in the mind we can come back to it, but I love them both. But if we're just gonna go all right, cool, we're gonna come back to that question. Foxy a little kill, little Kim quick Jeez, Biggie or big put Binkie the brown or Jordan Jordan well here looking away now, I don't want to know. Two shot three is more lucky number three, more lucky number holy more we was we We crossed over a lot of ship, a lot of ship. But Nick, one thing for sure too, things for certain. I feel like you sucked everyone. These conversations always give me a trouble and they lack. Come on, three, he's my lucky number. You give me a sup for the question that you sucked the world. That's a question. Come on, ten years. I want im to gather with my wife for fifteen years, so I haven't yeah like my You're like listen, Nick, you're my friends. So every room or even if it's true or not, i'd be like, yes, I'm happy too. It's not like you know, he's happy too. He's very happy for you. What I'm saying, I'm saying the life. I'm happy, like you know, usually you're like yo, you know, hey, I'm happy. And when I said, y'all, I had to y'all and then y'all know what y'all and y'all. A lot of y'all's going to ear. I mean, I'm not gonna lie. A lot of people say they ray j me, A lot of people famous, you know what I'm going Come on, man, you know, I mean it's in the past fifteen years, right. You know I'm Dashian. You're the first car, first man, Dashian, I'm the first man dash hilarious man. Now you know those beautiful family, good people. It's pr that was. That was fantastic. I knew that's how he's gonna answer. But that's crazy though, right, I mean that was I think coming up in in Hollywood being young, you know, everybody kind of know everybody, so you even see it now like they hang out with each other and they sucking everybody. I'm trying to chill out though, Like I'm trying to I'm chilling out. I'm kind of you know, I'm just stepping away and getting getting focused, going within, getting my celibacy on. I don't have enough enough children, enough frolicking. I'm I'm good right now believes you right now, forget he believes himself. So I tried, I know, I know what trying to do. Good to you brother, speaking into I was trying to, but let's just be clear. I just want to I just want to just make it for the record, before ray J was Nick Cannon the first man dash No. I mean, if we're talking about that, it was a very long time ago, because I feel like after i'm J beat the trial, that's when you no. I think I think it was around the same time I think ray J Newer first. This is I'm telling you. I think what it was. People didn't People were introduced to who she was through me, and then but when ray J was dating that she wasn't really shame So it was you're saying what I'm telling I'm telling you like people didn't know. They were just like, Yo, who's that chick with Nick? She's bad? Like it was one of those and then once probably a year later, when the tape came out. I believe the tape was made prior to me. That's how that's if I'm in my mind, because it looks like for people who didn't know I was with her first, and then a year later or whatever, the tape came out. But I think that tape was an older tape before you. Yeah, he looked to the public, it was the tape. What was you? What does that matter? It's just really mattered to I. Just I believe ray J knew her before I did. It's people just having fun and fucking man. Just leave it alone. Man, we were yea man, it ain't ship. It was if I. But that's how it came out because I remember, you know, I was really into her. I was vibing and then oh you were serious. Yeah, like I don't doubt and yeah I was. It seems like a good person, man, amazing person. She seems like it was. It was like we was on some shint know that I ain't do that, but this face right now, like I felt like I was gonna look at the kid say. I mean, I'm just saying, like the camera you could talk to Kanye. Oh, ship's another movie, man, minute, wait a minute, there's another movie to be a part of it. Okay, little Nick, be honest. I love the ship out of you. I was hitting you at one point. You ain't hit me back. I thought you were mad at me. I didn't know what happened. Then you hit me about movie ship. I said, oh ship, maybe I was walking boom. Yeah, this is the deepest we've ever been in drink Chance. I really love the fact that you said you would hurt because your heart and your face it's real, man, real. And now we're circling back, right are we circling back? We're circling back. It's going deeper than rap. It's getting deeper than back. How's it your are do? We gotta tell you this ship is definitely gonna Gora. I believe I've told this story before. And then you said you love Kanye. It was like something crazy. I mean again, don't expect Yeah, and that's my man. Let's let's let's it's almost twenty year. Let's celebrate the ship interview. No part where I ever saw it when you said your wife hurt me. I didn't see that part. He's like, I'm gonna go one day. We were kids, but obviously you know I knew Kim before Kanye, and I believe I think it was like twenty fifth. Yeah, one of them early birthdays. Uh. I had a store on Melrose and Kim threw me the party and then you know, Big got arrested, so our brother he d J. Every Kanye was there. Yeah, Nas was there. It was like a dope little at my Colon store right there on Mail Roads. And that was it was either that night or probably around the same time. He was out here in New York party and and it was me, Kim Paris little Kim and Kanye wrote up. We were starting first names. We gotta but I mean we was. It was one of them and you know that was that was back then. But so long story short, you know, like I said, ain't nobody I believe I told the story. But we were getting pretty serious back then and kind of marriage material. I mean, I don't know we was, it was getting serious. Just to say that, I don't know where my minds because I don't want to. I was getting every every week, like I was just like like, so I was really she was super serious. Is hanging out with the family all of that, like um, and they're starting I remember seeing we was on like Rode or someone. I saw ray J again and you know, we talked to a lot of the same girls and stuff. We was out literally like about to walk into the Louis Vuitton store and he was like and I cuffed up. I was holding and he was like he literally from across the chairs, like you ain't gonna be wanting to uh want to keep holding their hands soon watch And I'm thinking he's just hating. That's the way. Yeah, I'm thinking he just hating. Like whatever, I mean, that's still my man. Like, but I'm thinking, you know, if this is someone he used to rock with and now she with me, I'm like, ah, he just hating. And I'm like wondering why he said that. And then they started be the little rumors around that there was this tape. I'm like, man, wait, wait, but why would he say that, Like the tape leaked? Like how did that tape come out to start giving us the great We don't usually talking about this kind of but but how why was he saying I think he won what I'm saying, was it out of this control of that tape was coming out? I don't know what was going on because then when I asked her about it, it was more it was a conversation where she was like, you know, tape, what are he talking about? He's the asshole? Like she just didn't she didn't tell you though, that Yeah, no I knew that that, Yeah, yeah I do. I knew, you know, because of different history, we was all different. But so from that standpoint, I was like, I'm hearing these did y'all have like the tapers? And she was like no, it's like all right, I just took her word for it. You didn't hear about relationship about No. I knew that. I knew that they used to. He knew it was with each other. But this was and this was those days like Paris Hilton's tape had kind Kardashian is my best public defender. She told offender, like, whatever she does, she'd be She's amazing, And That's what I'm saying, like so long ago. But but it hurt you. You said, how did like the fact that she kept telling me you felt that was a lie to you? Yeah, And I'm like, I'm a rock with you. Just tell me the truth. And she denied it to like yeah. And so from then when they finally did come, and then I had like literally all my publicist ages managers like, yo, your girlfriend has a sex tape out with ray J, I was like, wait, what so you broke that? Though? That definitely created because that could be a maturity thing too for both of your better stuck it out, but she lied to you, so that sucked it up. Yeah, that was my vibe. I was like, if it was true, I'm a rock with you, and she she again. I d hold on, I did not understand what you're trying to say. So you just said it that. Wow, that ray J sex tape came out, y'all was dating. Yeah, that's what you're saying. And the ray J told him across the street to thought for that one. I love you, but it wasn't. It was just I mean again, I think like they were a couple too. They was you know, we're right right yeah, maink. It's a good dude trying to clear it up. No, no, what he's saying, it's real. I just my thing is like, how then the tape got out? Yeah? I mean that I really don't even know. I just knew at that time, like all my teams like abort mission. Let's be clear, trying to change such so bad. But you're definitely not trying to change something. You're lying. Man, did you see the tape? Though I never watched the tape, watch one of them things like I was like, man, I can't watch that, don't watch it. Yeah, probably now I can, but like, I don't want you now either. I'm still got feelings. Man, I don't ye sorry, I feel I'm sorry. Listen listen. He got his girls, my ex girl, my ex girl years ago. She wasn't we wanted together. He I did define exactly what you're going through. It totally different, broa come out like I was not. It was so long ago that let it go. It was is that the one that broke was at the one they kicked it off? Make you now you're black hearted? You got seventy other kids? How many kids? Well you don't have to don't worry at kids. Yeah, yeah, we got like he got just let that nigga have some kids. But is that is that the moment? I mean, I was always been one of them, hopeless so fast again, I'm not sure if you thought about this about it? He's stupid? Are you sure? I'm just okay and we're rich, we're protective, doing the right right. What are you asking of him? You want him to look into the camera? Guy speaking to ship? You want to speak on right right there? Man? No, because you know why they recently judge you have so many kids. He got so many kids. I even got that and compared to I'm like low one and told them, but I love all my kids because you bust on it and everything that is that. I told you, man, I'm celibrate right now. You said you're not really but kind of a sort But y'all said really, I'm said, I'm going, what what's your sobbatical? Right now? How long? Man, I'm trying to go. I'm gonna see if I could se two girls we've seen. Yeah, yeah, I've seen them too that they're great, colleague. The white girls now they call wild and goddesses. They elevated from the girl. So when y'all out of town in Atlantic to see y'all in Atlanta, your finger Papa, No, I'm a fan of fingerpopper. I'm gonna get back to the culture right now. That's afferent cloth. When people say I think about the bitch, I was like, oh, I ain't doing none of that though, come on, never, I told you, mom, focus, I'm trying to be the best father. I could be the best businessman I could be. All could say never, not no more like that. Then you went to not no more. Yeah, that's that's you said, young nigga. Ship. Yeah, they said y'alligg ship, but always younger. But that's even when we bring stuff up from the past, it's like I always seem to get situation like, oh, he always brings up Like I don't ever bring up my past. People always want to talk about it. This is forms for that. But I salute and even when you know, Yeah and kimt I love what they have. I feel like that's and I think it's almost like when you think about when you go to high school or junior high it's joints that you messed with and you call relationships with. But by the time you get wrong your man that you was here, you go again, yea, your man that you was in school with. Somebody. Maturity, man, we all got to be mature about that. The industry is like a big high school. So it's like when everybody was boyfriend and girlfriend back in the day. But when you grow up, you gotta respect that man's wife. But what are we speaking to? Were about to drink, y'all? Y'all drinking, you're taking you gotta take it. You gotta take it. You gotta take you don't drink, you gotta take it. It's okay. I don't know what show you it was holding for I don't know. You gotta smoke Champ, smoke Champ, say that again, but you gotta drink that though, sir, come on, let's do it. Let's do it. You can't be the only guest who didn't drink that at one to three. Nah, you don't have to come to this. So let me so let me ask you. Now, I drank mine, I had one. But so let me ask you. One of your biggest records, one of my favorite records. Are you laughing? Nig They already know what I'm about to say. Kelly is a good that's a great record, A good record. Jiggo, what a name for the record. Though we surrounded by so many ohs, it's a great record. Great is a great record. That was one of the records too. I mean, Kelly made great records at the time. I mean everybody was working with him. I mean and actually the dope thing him and track masters, everybody. Let's come out. Remember the reason why you got story because she was gonna Yes, the remix was the most popping ship out at the moment. Really, I was trying to get like I went and like yo, I need one of them Foresa type of joints, and it was him and the track masters, and you know, they gave me. They gave me two joints. They gave me the feeling freaky joint with B two K and on Mariana and then actually that one to me was like a little too kitty. I was like, ah, it's cool. And I remember I went into the studio in Chicago and R. Kelly left me in there for sixteen hours and it's empty as studio and I'm like, and there was like that's how he would make his wait and he was like, yo, you gotta wait for your hit. How bad do you want to hit? And I was like, I ain't leaving the studio telling with a hit. And he finally you know, also sounds like the documentary. Yeah, it sounds like he was doing something. I wrote my sixth teens. I wrote three six teams and jumped on the planks. I was frustrated, like he left me in an empty studio the whole time, there was no anything. Now I laid three six teams. I just went in there and rap to this beat that he left me. Then literally the head of the label like three weeks later, we're going straight to radio with this Jiggalo record. It's amazing. What the fun you're talking about? You know? It was very right, Yeah, Verry Verry hit. But he named the record by the hook, right, Yeah, he's like this Jiggalo record, it's amazing. Oh you didn't name new record, na, Kelly had I guess after I laid my ship he went in there and put that hook on it. So you didn't meet him. No, I met him, but like I said, we had already did the other records and stuff like that before. Like I was, I'm DJ and in the Ignition video and we shot that show. Like it's like, don't play Miami on the stand. He was all over to be in the case to yo, relax, relax. This really happened on the set of the Ignition video. The motherfucking Feds arrested him. That was the day he got arrested for the child point ship on the video in Miami. Listen, guys, Miami, the FAMI of Miami arrested him. Guy. He came back late that night shot we shot the sticking on the shot. I'm just being honest, be honest, thick, listen, you are really so you are hanging out with the show. You're doing what we had some the shotgun. We did everything. Listen man, Nick, Nick, goddamn it, I'm not gonna lie. I thought you were mad at me for some reason. I don't know why. I don't know, because I think I asked Caramon if Brian carry that ship really too. I forgot what Camp says because he shipped on me when he when I asked me because about me. So I forgot the question, are you ready let's go? Let's take it? Because I did it twice. I was thought this is too much. Now I didn't take it. You got knowing. See that's not it you Nick Cannon. You're too rich. Not this is dr home too. This is a black on too. So I apologize. Did you think that I was out of line? Nah? They wi because they ain't never seen me drinking. That's good. That's why you're in drink chance. I don't know if you remember the title? Where was that we had? Literally yadi was murder murder, murder, count murder, count hall of right. But did you think I was out on the line because I thought, you know Cam and my bad? Nah? I mean, first of all, it was way before me and whatever and I don't think there were actually anything that when I Cam said it was nothing going on. So that's why I was a fan. Like you, I was looking, you know, looking all looking too. Yeah, I don't know what they had, but from when I watched Drink Champs because you like, it was just cool because doing Cam had a little despruckle at one point. I don't I think we were just joking. I think I think he had a line of something like that, like yeah that he's like. I think he had a line that was as now you feel like I'm chilling, like I'm just homing influence. But I'm like this with the cameras only come on, you got you gotta get relaxed, you gotta tell us we need this story. I don't think it's a real story though, I mean, like me and Cam, I think he had a line of something about where something before nicking. You know, I've been trying to get Cam to come on Wilding Out, just like I've been trying to get you to come on wild Out. And I was like, Yo, let's talk whatever ship you talking, Let's talk that ship on wilding Out. And you know, I don't know. I still think Camp's care this is different though, Come on, come, come, come up to Wilding Out. He got cam is a funny nigga too, so like so I was like, he'd be perfect on wild When you coming on Wilding Out, change, I just want to be in the audience. I want to be an audience all the game. The shot you made me take when you're coming to Wilding Out, take another shot and we're gonna talk, negotiate. We're going to negotiating. Yeah, going on. I've been coming on yo. Let me just tell you something. I'm gonna being honest with you. I watch your show everywhere. Man. I just came to Turkey Kick Goes and they had Turks Ribbian out and I said, do you you don't even know that you better get your check. I get my check Caribbean. I said, there's nothing ripping about this show out. This is, by the way, I appreciate you. Now, this shot solidifies you're coming on the show. Listen, most the toughest hardcore stream is scared to come on Wilding Out. Talk that ship, talk that sh out at the foot. I'm not gonna lie Stoya. Listen on pre crew does the same exactly. Not the verse ones what to say stopping. Oh yeah, every year. Listen, just chill, give us five more minutes. I got nigs. No, no more crazy questions. Now you read you for now, I got your crazy. Yeah you already to our viral. Yeah, he's your viral already, bron not like choice mother questions. By the way, that's how nigger because he know he found but you also know keep going. I don't know what stopping, but keep your talk show. We're gonna be all every day after Wendy Williams so, oh ship, Yeah, I trying to kick with no no, that's my last my family, right, So what happened? I did I did you know? One of you don't sunk with us? She says, you don't know what the drinks she bought? The know though, so I didn't you know? She was out for a little bit. So I substituted for did it a favor? And everybody's like, yo, you should do your own talk show. I was like, I had fun doing it. Ship, so you know, put the bread up and we got it done. So now it's in you know, the same family when you come on and I'll come on and so so how this ship rock? You put this ship out? We talked about it on the show We crossed promote. Now everybody knows worldwide? Baby we wait wait man, I want some serious ship. The Dr Seti documentary didn't come out. No, no, no, no, it did not come out. Hold on, you're holding me on my question, motherfucker man fu man, he's one man. Correct, I'm sorry, relaxed. You want to add all? Yes, So I wanted to you know why, No, I don't know why I stopped the doctors. Every documentary got what's going on? Now we've been cooking it? Man, I mean that's the question the street has been asked for all of them. Every we why we talked to every I mean obviously this is something that Nipsey started and wanted to do. Uh. He had never really actually broke ground or you know, turn the cameras on. But even our conversations, our last conversation was really about my health and lupus was yeah, he was talking to talking about Dr Savy with me. So from there that's where when Nick passed, I was like the own the most intense connection we had was talking about health and wellness and you know, on power in the community. So I was like, I, well, I'm gonna take our last conversation and take it one step for you know, I make films, this is what I do. So I'm gonna take on what he wanted to do. And from there, you know, I had already been talking to you know, Dr Savy's family, So we pretty much got on and start putting you know, what is it that you think is the biggest thing that's coming out of the film, That that you think because you're saying people are trying to shut it down. I wouldn't say people are trying to shut it down, but they're not trying to make it easy, you know, to put it out. But real quick, this is who left. I went right to get because I would. We went down there to us village and everything. I went, now it's in U. So we went down there filmed down their film with all the family members and everything. It's a powerful documentary. We have so much footage. Now the goal is you know Sundance, you know, Ken Toronto, something like that. But because I promised Nip's family as well as Dr Saby's family, that we would put it out there in a way that it would be on a prestigious level that everybody what was wait hold hold on it. What was Nipsey's interest in it though? Like why was he involved for people just even just someone he was someone that had practiced, you know, up under doctor Savy and really like I don't think he ever met him, just like I never met him, but I think he was his teachings. And when you go like in the hood, like you know in South Central doctor Savy has a building, it's off so we you see the billboards, you see all of that in l A. So I think it was really he you know, Nipsey being somebody who was pro community and and really focused on the health and wellness and the upper mobility of black people. He was like, yo, we should tell this story. I think he was in the middle of an interview and we haven't even had that interview on the on the documentary where he said that if there was a man who cured AIDS got charged for saying he could cure AIDS and then beat why don't we know more about that? So really that's what the documentary is about pretty much the entire case. And so you know it's it's coming though. That's one of those things where you want to do it right and all of the people, All the interrogators are trying stop it. We're gonna make sure that the story gets out there. So you know that it's definitely not an easy feet. I mean when I stepped up, it was literally the day after Knit Past. I'm gonna take it on, and I knew it was gonna be heavy. And you know the fact that I've been blessed enough to have all of these platforms to share, I think people really gonna they're gonna get so much from it. They're gonna learn about the African environmental process, they're gonna learn about taking care of theirselves, and you know that the body is a self healing organism and we're gonna do it at a prestigious level. So this is literally, in my last question, good. Really, it feels so good to have waded out back. Like I'm really a fan, like literally a fan. I really watch every episode. How do you feel? I don't know, man, It's better sweet. It really is hit both bitter and sweet sweet, because it's one of those things where I was I was ready to walk away from it because I felt like so many had walked away from me whinning and like yeah, and I didn't need it anymore, you know. I mean, I've been blessed enough to you know, have ownership over the brand even at the time where you know, obviously you've been there, we got restaurants, we got you said, yeah, it were good, were good, like we got I understand that, but I was like, this is crazy, right, so we go so in that sense, like to be able to create a brand at such a level and then bring it all like whether it's controversy or whatever, to step away and say if you if you don't want to rock with me, no more cool, but I'm gonna staying firm as a man. Tantote is down. And then to see even in that decision, a lot of people like damn, I forgot about how many hundreds of people that I feed off of this show or thousands of people that are feed Yeah, and even not letting like it's a billion dollar brand, like that jointing is like what it generates for for Viacom, and even you know it's one of those brands. It's probably the longest running you know, hip hop brand. We've been going since I put up my money first in two thousand four money. Yeah, so you started it like it's a starter yeah, I kind of shot this before there was MTV any of that stuff. I shot it in the comedy club and that stick of smoking, goddamnit, stick of smoking me. I'm just saying, you know, he's really smoking. We thought he was fake smoking earlier. So you're really smoking that. We're smoking my shop. I'm being honest with you. You're smoking smoking smoking. No, but that's the That's the thing when you think about, you know, what we've been able to build it and people that have come before me, like you know, the creators a Deaf Jam, the Eaders you know, and live in color, all of those things death and I mean, you gotta give respect to Russell just basic you know, Deaf Jam records and Death Comedy Jam. But to be able to be that, you know, at least be compared to that for the generation. But this is my show facts. I want to take control right now. Let's say that that's exactly the feeling that I felt when I looked at and they said they have Caribbean v H one Caribbean, MTV Caribbean. When I looked enigulis you right? Of course? I was like this or night let while I I see Jack Thove I see all my people change. He was wild now too. Yes, I know it's official. You took the shot. You're coming on. He going on a little shot, no shot, No I gotta get on. No reads going on, say too. He was here for murder count, murder count roscounts just gonna be and your murder counts disrespect for he was getting that. I'm getting the shot murder count. But I guess it was a question show. So I said, I'll take the sad shot, murder count, murder coount I'm taking. I got a murdercount, murder counts man. We all were on the same plane. Murderount. What we called him murder count was this was this war. Come on, let me let me poor. You're the first person to have to gave me. You're supposed to. You know you're on drink chants, but you put your poor way too heavy for all how you poured. Get here, get my shot glass get but this is it, this is you gotta get you. You can't do. It's the final to get my ship, give me to yours, the final. I can't do. I gotta I gotta movie the shoot right now, relaxed. But we also you need also need to do drops right, Yeah, you gotta do dropping pictures. I'm still it's sober and so you know you gotta end it properly. Yeah. We never ended properly here. We're definitely going viral. Yeah, I'm not gonna lie. You gave me way too much. Hold on, hold on, you can keep feeling, but I was gonna be honest. I love you. No, I can't take some real quick. This mother called me or hear me yesterday like a round ten eleven, and I thought he was on this side of the coast and he's like, no, I'm in l A and I'm taking a red eye. But you you did it for me. Man. You won't even know what I went. I appreciate you. I don't know how I got him leaving it at all. I did. Listen, I love my daughter to come here right now. Nick, you gotta you gotta always hold me there. Always flew one flight, No draws, don't don't stop. Don't disclose that. Yeah, man, but I was bad, tough about it. We not three, But let's end what we're doing. What you doing? Just take a picture, he gets. Thank you thanks for joining us for another episode of Drink Champs.
