Welcome to Drink Champs, the production of The Black Effect and I Heart Radio and his Drink Chess motherfucking podcast. He's a legendary queen's rapper. He's agreed is your boy in no r He's a Miami hippoper, mioneer. What up is d j e fn? Together they drinking up with some of the biggest players in the most professional, unprofessional podcast and yet number one source for drunk backs is New year' z. That's time for Drink Champs. Trick up, motherfuck motherfuck? Would it could be hopeully would assume this is your boy? What up is d J e F? And I like saying this. This is really tam me crazy role slash drink chat. Yeah, ya will make up. You know, this is my one of my favorite times of doing drink Chances. People that behind the scenes, not only this is brother is behind the scenes, but he was the move maker behind the scenes. When you have people who in this game that says, uh started from the trunk? What is it? Hand in hand from the trunk? This is brother name pops Up. He's an entrepreneur. He's damned there. If Houston had or Texas had a president, I think his picture. I don't know how many rappers drewry he got back. I don't know. This man is a legend, he started the independence. I feel like this was our first version of motown and hip. I could be I could be wrong, You correct me, or anybody correct me. But I feel like this is the first version of motown. You got people like MASTERP that looks up to this guy, people like babies, people, I mean every I don't know people who don't look up to him. Everyone from Bump Beat a little Flip has sat at the same table in the show and has big up this man, and he has a great book Court respect. In case you don't know who the funk we're talking about, we're talking about the remarkable, because the impeccable James motherfucking Now, you you're the big home you look you're one of the biggest, the biggest of the biggest home. Right And when I went in out and research your story, it's like what I said at the intro, I believe you were like the first black owned Uh. I don't want to say street, I want to say record label, first straight up record label. Right, but you owned the car lot prior to that, right, what how much do you I was exercise of my entrepreneur Okay, so huh so how do you translation from the car line and then say because the car has to be making money? Yeah right? Yeah? Yeah, Actually, you know, I always had a passion for cars, you know what I mean. I used to I used to model cars. I couldn't afford them as a kid, but my cousin had him, so it recrd dreamed of I end up purchasing. You know how you look at them ships on your on your dress or whatnot, and you're invinging yourself or I want to be in that car. I gotta make some every car I my life to you. So that passion led me to open a car lot because I was connected in the street and all the athletes, you know what I mean, all the hustlers and whatnot. That was a way of making money. Yeah. So so all right, because at this time I'm seeing rap making money, but I'm not seeing them make millions. I'm not seeing them. I'm not seeing all the flash at this time, and especially not only rap. Yeah, but let's just be let's be clear. The South, yeah, particularly wasn't known for making So what made you say you know what this cart that is probably like a cash business and because that's that's who was there whole dreams like this works, it's no guarantee. So what made you do that? No real talk? Uh you know, I felt like the rap game was the next dope game, just to be real, right, that's tenus that I felt that way, and I shared those thoughts with many, you know what I mean, and some believe a lot of them didn't believe. If you like follow me with my intros on the Ghetto Boys, you know, one of my one of my goals was to plant them seeds and to as many hustlers around the world as possible because I was trying to be yeah, yeah, you know the whole journey. That's what Carter Masterpe and all others down your book signing recently. Yeah, that was that was hard. But Julia Doubley was going out a little bit though. That was hilarious because I think, uh, you know, artists be sensitive, like like like I just want article that drid the revery wonder about you have a game. But yet you know what she didn't. She didn't really when she left the girl. Yeah this is so false, you know, but um, but Master pe I remembered that and if they saw each other and and it was it was you neque to see him as a human as well. You know what I mean, because a lot of the times we act like nothing, no bother us. But it kind of bothered him and he was like, yeah, he's likely no excuse me. She checked him because he had said something in the interview the Proper Club cor a white girl said oh, this is the white girl and she liked that. She stepped up. I was, I was actually your first. And then he ended it with you and Jay Prince. So that's it. So um now, let's let's get to let's get to what you got over there. Those bottles look very sexy. What is that? Cause loyalty of you to man? Y'all taste for lawyer? Let's host the baby and I got it in Champagne, Merlot, Cabernette. And so that's the rose. Okay. So and this is where's this from? This is from France? Okay from you don't like the movie? Very cool. I'm just trying to diversify my portfolio. The number. What's what's your proudest moment in hip hop or that you've been a part of this in this music business. But um, I would say uplifting the South, you know what I mean. It was important to me to ignite that whole movement in the South, and I think I accomplished that. So that's that's one of my proudest moments. That's hard, I'll be that because, like I really look at your career and let's really you're really very unique. Right. What I mean by that is people that made it to where you always had like a sucker ship attached to it on some rumor some bad ship. It's like, that's why I used to work impeccable and the thing you have like a like what was called an impeccable reputation, you know, impeccable amount of respect, Like I've never heard nobody talk bad about J Prince? How did how did? I mean? I'm sure it's happening, but I've never seen it, you know what I'm saying. So how do you develop that little I know you're gonna say respect, Yeah, I mean, you know that's that's a part of it. But having a word you know what I mean? Yes? Mean yes, you know me? No, you know, along with its being stand up man. You know what I mean all of that helps you following through. Also, you know, it blew my mind. The Ghetto Boys was put together. Yeah, the Ghetto Boys that we see that we think it's the Ghetto Boys didn't know each other. Holy, individual and season on their own. Yeah, did you know? I didn't even know? Yeah, I supposed to research and they could. Yeah. I actually because three other artists that was getting boy, we had the original three they couldn't relate to me. You know what you're not? He said, you was too deep? Yeah, you think forgot told them to go then the word talking about because they couldn't stand the test of time. But what I've done was went on every side of Houston, and I felt like I got the three hardest I heard. You said you did research. Yeah, Now when people here research, they didn't google. This is a different type of research. You had to go because I believe Scarf facing from the south side and you're from the north side. You actually had to go in the Lion's then to actually meet with him, right, Holy, you understand that that's so? And when did Scarface? None of them knew each other, none of them. Yeah, So what's that first session like when you put off you know what I mean, stand off, everybody was doing it for me, you know what I mean, because I told him, I say, man, as ghetto boys all over the world, y'all come together and add to the foundation already laid. And uh make these rhymes, make make these rhymes, these lyrics in my head, rhyme. But I had some ship I wanted to hear you used to say. I heard you used the curiously you were trying to wrap through them because like dricks On, it was about Yeah, because and then you get on in the book. Yeah, I think it's a chapter in the closet or something like that. Yeah, definitely, mind playing tricks is about all of them things. And how do you come across someone like Bushwick? You know, I saw Bushwick in the club. Man, I saw him in the club doing some dancing and different ship drunk because he always the same way. Yeah, you know what I mean. I thought he was a I catch you all right, yeah, because that's just that's just that's pure of talent though, like because at the time, uh, like I don't I don't remember a rap group like having like an art that's like an art character like at that time, Like I mean that that was the first one, right like Bush mcville. I mean, if you consider Flame maybe for public enemy and sense as a character. Okay, Now, one thing that I always when I visited Houston, I realized how big Houston was, And I always realized. I always thought that it's gonna be one person that could only sell their music to just Houston and blow just just what Houston, because that's how big it is. Like I feel like there's gonna be an artist that can just promote to Houston. I mean when I says meaning the whole text is my bad, but because I'm texted so big, that's what I mean. You think that that there's a day there that that that could happen. Oh yeah, all things are possible. Okay, so yeah, so let let let me just show you the names that's associated with you when I googled you. I want to show you this. This is this did you did you do this? I mean I know a lot of it, alright, cool? Hold on, who was the first that wasn't the first group you signed? Was it putting together? No? I had Raheem, you know what I mean. Raheem actually was a solo artist that I signed with A and M. Rockers, and I took that money from A and M and put it in the ghetto bars. Yeah that he had to go to New York to an M. California. Yeah yeah, California and odd Squad was on. It was an early sign, right, did you know he was a breakout at the squad. I felt that we always felt the arts score was before their time, you know what I mean? When Devin he stuck out, you know, blind Rob, you know he's a blind produced So all of them were real telling it. Okay, So when I go with your name, this is all the people that came up with Jazz Prince, of course your son, scar Faced, Willie d Pushwick, Christina Malans. I didn't know that revelation Bumby Zero, Uh when you Sanders, Uh, Devin the dude, PEPSI, Big Mike, Mega Stallion. I didn't know that you're ready for a track. They're gonna have a dream, what yould man, We're gonna lose the things up, baby, Because I don't think anybody has talking to you since the Mega Stallion incident, right, I hadn't spoken about that all right, But because I'm gonna be honest. One of the very first things and this is about the incident, not um there or when it happened to Megan Stallion once whatever happened, I don't, I don't know. But one of the first, very first comments I saw it was that wouldn't have happened if she was on she was with the homies, that wouldn't happened. If you know, you know, you know what I'm trying to say. So um, if you can't. And man, it watches very nice, bro, I gotta lie looking looked at all your interviews. I said this man, do come with a nice watch. You know, we love watching whoever. But speaking on on on that because she was she was originally signed to you and H. Crawford right well, never was originally signed to me. But sign the Crawford okay, sign one okay. And H. Crawford is from fear forarity from my hood and even though he a baseball player, he from the hood from let's make some noises. That man's someways got damn make the more so some moves was taking place right to you know, come in and uh kind of scoop Megan away from the home because he knew, he knew, he said, saw this day. Come yeah, yeah, you know how to go in the music industry a lot of times or the major's weight on independence to build a situation up and they come and say the day they called saving the day right, Uh, but we weren't. You know, I couldn't have it on my watch. But you know, the home, it came to me and he like, he explained to me what was taking place, and you know, like a big home he should do. I stood up for him, and uh, we was able to change things around because artists. What happens is artists and I'm been a part of this, artists come to get in the game. They signed a contract. You can't technically sign a contract without having a lawyer look over it. That's technically so that means you had your people look over it. I didn't want to change the contract. Is that's something like that happened at World. Well, the thing is, you actually can refuse to have a law You can tell your lawyer you don't really care about going through the contract because you for it. Oh yeah, you had that right. Oh I thought that was mandatory. Okay, okay, no, I mean and and and the thing with that situation is, you know that's that's how it happened, you know, when she actually had a lawyer? This a way, why so then I I'm gonna go straight to it. Then this this, this Torrey Lane situation. You think that would have happened or it had you been involved or I don't think so. If it did, I think it had been immediate consequences, right, yeah, let's make so much to that guy. Change it up, damn change it up. So boxing andre Ward, he would tell you too early. I would have loved have seen Andra stay longer when undering, you know, under the real spiritual individual, a man of guard. And uh he told me, you know what I mean, that's that's part of the calling. God told him to retire to time. So I can't arg with God. Lost a lot of money though right now, have been a lot of because he would have You think he could have went up to like you no know what was he's made away right? Yeah? Yeah, he was a light heavyweight. I think andre could have worn a tight heavyweight wentness Andrea Ward destroyed heavyweight. Yeah when he fund open, Okay, don't want to give me finding all these these business it's like like what kind of water do you drink? You know? With boxing, Well, you know what. You know what, man, I'm a praying man right first and foremost don't got the opportunity to so, so I feel like all my blessings come from some kind of way. Okay, Yeah, I expect that now, don't do doom. For four long years, had the number one box? Ask he was becoming the number one box? You had, Floyd? Yeah, when he like he he didn't really even know who he was at the time. He was developing as I was, man, and I would see you in the ring. Yeah, So I had never thought that relationship. I thought it was like, yeah, I was like the perfect relationship, you know what I'm saying. So the lasted four years, but what what was? It was just time to move on? Yeah. You know sometimes, like in any relationship, you know, you evolved and eventually you do things differently, right, So I think that's kind of what took place with me and the homie. But it's still look okay, because I heard you surrounded the gym. She like that some money has to be paid and money is hey that day? Is that truth in the name a little bit? Okay? So one of the one of the most interesting ventures I've ever heard of in hip hop. Oh it was like a two boo. It's like a two week room one that this was actually happening. You shug and and what what was happening was. It wasn't like you shooking earth or any three year y'all was on the down. Yeah, I was at this time. So if this would have actually merged, this would have been the biggest black environment we have ever. So you think there was somebody deliberately out to shut you out down And what was it y'all were doing? Trying to set up distribution? We had a meeting. Yeah, we wanted to create their own black owned distribute some girls. So we had a meeting of the mind met in l A. And it wasn't long after. I feel like the FEDS attack each of us, you know what I mean? That's deconspiracy from not only from a distribute some point of view. You know, they had their reasons, but definitely they you know, we all saw what happened to death Row. We saw how they attack murder In and you know they tried to kill me. So yeah, that was said like a d A agent or hit man or some ship. Yeah, I called him a hit man because he got about eight to ten bodies, you know what I mean. So I couldn't think of a better name to call, uh shoot marker. Yeah, and they put them on you, Oh yeah, on purpose. Goddamn you out here. Motherfucker's smelling like roses sucking again. So now they say that they would say they said that you had a pick farm on your your house. I've seen a series on Prime that they were just the mob would just feed people to the pigs. You know, they're telling a lot of lots. Do we have a rant? You know, it's about three hundreds some heads of cows and horses and ships like that. No pigs. That sounds scary. Tho, you got Jo, you know you got a big stick. We're we're pointing the guys. That's crazy. That's good. So I read scoff face saye work for work. He said, people want to be like Mike. I wanted to be like Jack. That's fucking hard. How do you how do you feel when you when you hear things like that? You know, I feel honored, man, I feel honored to you know, to inspire all of them that come after me, you know what I mean? Because one thing I never wanted my kids and nobody to do is have to hold the head down when my name is mentioned. So but want to Biby to hold his head up. You know, from observing me or being inspired by me is inspirational to me. It's a beautiful day. So at one point before you get off the face, we gotta talk about that. He's you know, it's crazy, I hate scar face to get some cheat questions and he was like, yo, he said, he said, jay child me he was coming down. I thought that was just dope that y'all still speak like that. That's my brother. That's really that's like, I just want to commend you to your face. Yeah, and I know it's been rough times between y'all. Everybody every brother's fight, but the fact that y'all can still talk thirty one years later, y'all still like I hate scarf face. And he was like, yeah, he told me he's coming. Was like, oh, ship, he's still talk to me. That's something that should be honor, you know, just the relationship, regardless to everything. I know you got business together, but I just want to honor that. To your face. Man, I said, I it's beautiful, Like I was touched by that, and I know I know Facing. You know, when Face was had the COVID show, I called Face every single day. Yeah, I just called him to check on him, like I didn't. I didn't care what time, I didn't care if I was bothering him face right, Face. But like getting back to that, I really respectation ship. I respect you know, thirty years but ship like me and you was like that, like if we know each other that long, like and we're still speaking. So when I see it, because I know it's abnormal for other people, you know what I'm saying, It's like everyone is in the snaking each other. Everyone is in there doing some some dumb ships. So when I see that, I definitely wanted to salute you to your face and Face is still he's still looking for a kidney donor, right, yeah, yeah, we gotta we gotta get We gotta get that for you out there. You gotta kidney and you know you hit math. I mean, you know what I mean. Some people just got like I don't know how to say that. You know, if you're a match, you guy it man, let's get let's get national treasure. And you still you do you call him scar faceing, you call up calling Brad sometimes call him face okay, cool cool cool cool because I see Willie um Wie D and he was calling them Brad one time throughout this whole interview through I was watching, you know, I was watching all these interviews about you guys, and he kept calling them Brad. I was like, who then is Brad? Some time, I told these lips in my mind that I want to say something real quick because when I was researching uh you, it brought me to flat TV right and on lad TV, lack TV. I feel like he disrespected hip hop, feel like disrespecting Louis Farra car. I feel like he didn't he didn't say sorry, So lad TV or anybody's watching this, I would let you, personally black to take every video that Nori is on your site and take it off. I wouldn't. I'm asking you that as as a favorite. Know. I could have called you, you know, on on the phone, but this is a public situation. This isn't a private situation. So this is your boy, and are signed that. I just I didn't want anything to do with that. Sorry, sorry, sorry Jack, Because you know I'm watching and Lord Jamal and Everybody's like, man like, if you disrespect the culture of hip hop, and you're not a part of the culture like you the best the best thing you should do is apologize. He so he just expect the lowist flower car. They asked him to apologize, and he said, I apologize to him if you come on my show. You don't dictate this situation, buddy. This is our culture. We dictate this motherfucker. So by me taking a stance, I'm gonna take it. I don't got gonna do with this ship. But I would like for you to erase every video that I'm on on your side. And that's why I stand. Let's move back to this I that I was. Yeah, he expected the Louis flower car. He actually made up something. They checked him on it and said, look, this is what he said. He didn't say that, he false reported, he false something. Just say I'm sorry, Just say you're my bad. You know what I'm saying. You know you can enrich over this culture. But he he has young men go up there, and you know, I don't even want to keep going. I don't keep going on that. But let's say so now, respect, let's talk about the book. Respect. You rooting in two thousand and fourteen, No not that long ago. Okay, this book been out of two years. Okay, you wrote it, I'm saying you really, I probably wrote it a few months before it was released. Okay, So you know this book, the art and Science of Respect, Why my winds, my losses? Everything happened in between the art and science? Science science? Sound? Is man complicated? Yeah? So is that complicated the science of it? Or not? Not? Really? Okay, not really, it's not complicated because you know I lived it all, and you know I explained my explanations for everything I went through to because I wanted to leave up you know what I mean of a blueprint of how I made it, make it easier for the next generation. Now I heard it was a totally different version of this, and you decided not to do it because you felt like he was giving up too much. No, I had never heard that. Yeah, I'm showing me. Give me that question I'm doing. You know, the truth of the matter, all of it is not there, you know what I mean. I don't want to do a movie, so by yeah, yeah, that's my about Julia Beverley as wether Yea who could play you in the movie? Good question? I need I need your help. I definitely want to help, but I thought it myself at one point and then I said, no, I need a better editor. Better. You need a real, real actor, like you need this Zell to lose twenty years. I can see that. I think this will killing because he was already Yeah, Michael Jordan, Oh yeah, he can do it now, he can be a comedian. Oh it's biscuit. He saw Dominican from h l Oh. Nah, I think I don't even know what you're talking about. Really, but oh no, I know you need a real actor. You don't need no comedian nigga, I don't know, Sam Coach. You need a guy who could cry, who can you know and do everything like you know, Julie, there has to be something already in the worlds I would imagine, especially after Strata Compton success. Yeah, but I don't the actor hadn't been picked. You know, that's a that's important. Stories. Yeah, stories, correct appreciate it all right, So, um, what was you What was your favorite like act you ever worked? Because I heard you say that you worked with a lot of artists that you didversitally like, yeah, business, you know what I mean? Business sometimes you know, And I said, that too, like open the mind of others that you don't have to like every you know, business is business. So yeah, a lot of them I didn't like personally, but you know a few of my scar faces one you know what I mean, that's the homie love Pimp C, Love Bundy. You know, those guys was exciting, and they wouldn't really signed to you. They were signed a job. Yeah, and then you signed them as solo artists. Yeah, signed them at so Lo artists. When when Pimp C got locked up and Job didn't want to allow Bun to make a living really on a solo perspective and jobs even taking a free PIMPC campaign away from them. Yeah, yeah, so I convinced him to to let me put Bun out on a solo too. Yeah. And then and then, so what was that I heard the day PEPSI came out? You brought them to nothing brain go when you brought them too? Yeah, poem, Sorry, man, I brought you home in the limo. Man, I'm sorry, he went his phone. I'm sorry. Well, yeah, how was that? Because I could tell Pipsy was popping. Oh yeah, pimp C. I kind of called him the Southern tupop you know what I mean, I can see that. Yeah, I can see that. You know he was, he was off the chain. So he and I, you know why it was locked up with, have conversations on that day over release. So you know, I just kept my word once again, you know when he got bam set it all one thing that PEPSI sucked me up. To this day, I still can't get over with this. He said, you Atlanta, dudes, ain't even the South. It's not even It's the same time as old as East Coast. And to this day I would throw Miami in there. I can't get that out of my head. So do you think PEPSI was doing that on purpose or he was just he was just on one that day, you know, I think he was talking about the time, you know what, but them in the time, the Atlanta, Miami, New York on the same you know time. So yeah, So did you think he thought that just Texas. I've never I've never got over that. I'm never like, I was like, damn, that's right, just to a certain extent. Most of the South is on the East coast. Wow yeah yeah, but yeah, Viginia, because Texas is a huge as motherfucker State obviously said Virginia. As we speak about Virginia, you edited, I said edited, you ended the beef between Drake. I'm pushing I guess I guess you could say that because now, okay, that hasn't since it was there a phone call that happened. Well, I had an opportunity to speak with Kanye, you know, and of course because we heard Drake was saying he smashed Kim on it, that's what we heard. To the great bodies, what we heard. We don't know what we heard. I don't know we heard when we heard. We don't know. I don't know what I'm saying. I don't know, I don't know. I don't know. But I'm sorry because you know what I mean. That didn't you know that that was something didn't make sense for us, right, and I were moving use some moments ship, right, So we figured out how to circumvent that and keep it moving. Because I'm gonna be honest, that takes a lot of restraint. It takes a lot of discipline because you know, I don't fun with the social media like that I post or whatever, but I don't. But there's people who funk with that. And if you lost on social media sometimes you're losing life. Yeah, so I could imagine that week. Did you called Drake and I was like, Yo, we're not gonna respond? Yeah, whoop? How hard do you think it was? Because some people are saying that that that record couldn't existed because if it existed, they don't care about Push your Teeth, you know what I'm saying. If it existed, they would just drop drop it and just end Push your Teeth and and Kanye if it existed. But then some people was like, yo, why didn't he respond? So what was that week like? Because I'm sure people was hitting you on on that as well. You know, that was testament of the respect that he had for me, because he didn't He wasn't trying to hear that ship. Really he wanted to drop. Yeah, I mean you know how that is, and they can hit you you want to, So to me, that was a testament of the respect he had for me, and and I had to like, really, you know, let him know, Okay, I really mean this. You know what I mean? This don't make sense. And when we put it on the scale, it didn't make sense. It was as simple. It's kind of like, um, when Jay overdid it with nas with that second record, and he went to certain places about family and things like that. It kind of made him lose to be by default because of him bringing in other family members of him doing that. Is that how you felt with well and all losses some losses a win. Yeah, that's true. You know what I mean. It depends on your thinking ability where where all of that is concerned. And we you know, we couldn't get caught up in that. It was a moment, you know what I'm mean, We big pitching thinging, so we had to keep it moving. It makes it much. I know you talked about this a lot, but maybe for our audience and how how did that connection happen? You guys in Drake So yeah, I know, I know, but I just yeah, but you might not like, right, No, my son jas Prince broke me Drake and uh you know young Rake, Yeah, you was boxing at the time. I didn't even like him, you know what I mean. I didn't like it. I'm like, man, what do you this stude singing? Year He like, trust me on this one, daddy, you know the man he buzzing. So I had taught him since he was like this then parts of a buzz and rap a lot in all the meetings, and I'm calling around the world marketing meets. What's buzzing? What's buzzing? So you know, and I tell everybody my eel stood up like a German schefferd when he said he's buzz buzz right, I said, away from Canada. My ears went down. I called Canada, right, call the coach, you know what I mean. They confirmed the truth, and I'm like flyting home in As. When we flew him in, Wayne was in and bad rest and at that time you didn't know how he looked at less. So he walked to the door. He's like, I'll be sure that's what you thought. I didn't your brother, So why isn't it a wrap a lot of situation? Was it because you're in the boxing? Yeah? I had kind of you know, moved on and my son was on tour with Little Wayne, right, So I told him, I said, man, I don't want you coming home. You have to just get puss it and coming home, bro, you know what I mean. So I'm like, I told him how to go to Little Wayne and tell him what you want to start a rocket labor want him to be a partner fifty fifty Wayne, you know, been on the opportunity. And from there, I'm like, who your first artist? So he said Drake. So bam, that's how it all came from this. I say, take Drake on the road with you and the little Wayne to put his arm around and over the stage. You're telling me your mon introduced Drake to Wayne. Oh yeah, but your money. Yeah. Oh, y'all didn't know that. I thought this is what I thought. Yeah, I thought Drake and Wayne had a relationship, and then I think I thought Jazz came in after. I didn't know Jazz is connecting the role. That's what is arguable. Bro. Holy okay, Now Wayne, Wayne does the business. But we all know Wayne is an artist, right. We all know Wayne as an artist. We all know that when it comes down to the business, business and the big eating, he might not even beat it. Yeah, so it gets the bird man, right, bird Man makes all this money off off of Drake and then there's money old tip to your son. How does how does that not get worked out? Well? It gout worked out, you know what I mean. That's that's it's a done deal. Not everything that's has been done, but it was a process, you know what I mean. And I think it was a process because of the money they took before a drink came to the table, you know what I mean. They got hell of advance cash money or young money, cash money because young money is y'all coming now, Yeah, but young money is cash money when it when it came to that business thing, you know, And we got caught up in the mix of that because they had taken so much until you know what I mean, stayed looking at it like I'm all right, we got come pay. They they don't. They don't have it. And it's not the same discrepancy that y'all had that Wayne was having at the time of cash money as well. I don't really I don't really know. Yeah, but yeah, because that's that's the thing. It is, like this interviews, this documents of Baby saluting you. So I would imagine that's the automatic thing to do, is know that that's that's you with gods, even though your son is his own entity, you know what I'm saying. So, um, I always was curious about that. I know, you just said you worked it out here, you know, like Baby Slim Master, p Tony Draper, all these guys like my students, you know what I mean. So that's one of the reasons I wanted my son to do something with Little Wayne, because you know, I trusted the Homers in that situation. Uh. You know, once again, I think you know a lot of times as artists and recollect that we get that paper that and thinking that dough that's gonna perform the same way on the next album or whatnot, and ship don't happen the same damb Devil was advocate. Do you think that Birdman thought that it was Drake wo Old your son and not him. I'm asking, like, just being that was I'm just being that was advocate. You know. I made a real clear to him, okay that we need to have ours you know what I mean. We're gonna be no negotiating and dialogue and whenever. Whenever was concerned. And like I said, it took a process and we got ours. Got that makes so man, this is a lot bear Is that that Si you were having the weirdest Brazilian sililia Resilien fucking Carnegie all this is like some crazy but all right cool boom. At one point it felt like you and Drake the it fell out was was was that like that new artist because you know, at one point I was an artist too. Um, we started to think we did it on our own, and because because you know you're going platinum, you you know, we all we just needed we have done with that with Drake particularly, No, I can't think we had at a moment okay like that, well we fell out, okay, but I have experienced that with all Okay, yeah, man, shouldn't happen like when you put them on and then they just act like they bought your sneakers on their own. Yeah. I hadn't really experienced that with him. Okay, I hope they're not experist, but yeah, that thought I acted this earlier. But I think, um, I got cut off herself off. I think, um, what what was your favorite moments? Like, um, um, what artists? What was one artist that like when they said come to the studio, he was like, fucking I dropped everything and I went to the studio for them. Well, you know, one of my favorite moments wasn't about the studio was but it was about respect where the South was concerned. And it was with the with the record mind playing tricks, you know what I mean? Because it was like a lone hustle man to try and get respect where radio was concerned with doors slammed in our face over and over again. And finally to sit back and witness everybody embraced that song. You know, cityboy, we didn't have any of that social media, right, so we hit state by state, city by city and everybody embrace it. That was a beautiful filling. But I'm not gonna lie. And that's like the unofficial Halloween record every year, the Halloween unless you feel here that like I can't even get into it, Like I'm not putting on the costs and women. That's my Halloween shirt right there. Show, So damn is good to be against. Yeah, you rapped on that, Yeah, wrapped on that. It was a rapper wrapper. You know, I was using that about personal You was talking about going to the White House. Yeah, what was you want to rapper? At my point, I mean, I don't call myself a rapper, but I spit on that. Okay. I always wanted to do in the office and I hear that job. Yeah, And I wrote what's wick firsts on that and made it right? What's who you can't do? That's that's that's that's a legendary wreck. Now I want to say something for you, uh, for tr for for for you, for everybody from the South that don't think New York people will ever respect the South or don't ever respect your toth I am Warren and raised New York City. I've lived in the South for fourteen years. But if you cut me, I'm leading New York City. Yeah, I can't even get the accent. I'm trying to get your accident work. It won't even work. We respect your South. I think that y'all was taking a few bad apples and judge the whole New York about that. And that's what I'm trying to tell y'all, Like I love the South. A person that don't love the South has never been to the South. That's all You're arguing with people who have never left ninety third Street. Yeah, you know what I'm I'm saying. So if you want to talk to a person that never left n third that's all he knows in life's name thirsty. And there's a lot of New York dudes out there, But people like me, Bums, the Romes, fact Joe, who made a great living in the South. We respect usel, I think you're talking as an artist, and you can tell me if I'm wrong. I think the industry was a big. One of the first questions I hit y'all, Lemagne, and one of the first questions he hit me is, does Jay Press ever think that New York will respect the New York rappers will respect the South? And I said, I didn't want to ask that, man, but I'm asking with the question. I answer with the answer because like some of the greatest times I've ever had as me going to Texas and me calling some of young people, so they laying it out for me, you know what I'm saying. So I just feel like that's what it is. Like when T I said T I said it the other day too. He's like, because you know, New York didn't want respect this, and I'm like, that's just so false. You're taking it's ten people in the room, You're talking about the one entire industry that was picked up against the South and even the West at one point. I don't think it was that. I think that it was just so new at the time to remember it was new like we was used to x Clan, we was used to and then when we was when we heard in w and when we heard West Coast, it was about you know, but think about what you think about this. And again if i'm if you got a different perspective, please let us know. I'm saying, if the exects are born and raising New York and the artists are being then the A and rs are born and raising in New York, then that's the us to keep being signed to the labels, keep being put out, keeping programmed. They're not. They gotta understanding the South. That's why what happens is the West Coast roles, but roles and created basically their own industry. This, this is it. This is the way I feel about that. This is the deep part. Like I never felt that way. I never feel like the whole New York didn't, you know what I mean. I got like friends from New York that I know better what that's concerned. So it was a few you know what I mean, And that's the way it was. But I think it's everdent today. You know how New York I feel about South because a lot of New Yorkers, you know what I mean, I know so much gold yea change. We we never had what you called grills. We had cats which you take out the full, we take it out, you can take it out. Yeah yeah, and we have friends. But that all solid ship, that's all sounds. That's right there, right there, you know the side. I know a lot. That's my side by side. I got four waters with bills. My son requested his whole ship and he looked like juvenile. Here, I'm like, what the mill he's raising? Okay? And you know that that goes so deep because you know a lot of you know, New York, because your mother's grandmother. That's the reason why I kind of like I want to start this plight of New York. New York people sat in the balance because I get it. Back then, you know, we didn't have Instagram. We didn't have so if you got a bad attitude for one New Yorker, you described the whole New York as as such. But man, I'm in New York. You don't have to compare it to I compare it to um people from London and they go to the States one time and they go to Seattle, and because you know have States, isn't the States. That's how Seattle wants on that Wednesday, motherfucker that's not how everything is. Don't judge this, judges And they're like, because you never state, So I'm like, no, you don't know the states. So I'm doing, like what the people in Texas ain't doing. What the people doing in Brooklyn. People in Brooklyn ain't doing, but they're just labor that one experience is that one town that's y'all and they just say the states. And that's how I feel like. I feel like the South to a certain of steps still kind of can plains about how New York will show them love or or that, and I'm like, yo, fuckingplaining about the people that don't show love, which you should be shown the love to people who show Yeah. Because and like you said, Jake Press, I love this and just love the statement from you. I've been watching you for a week. She's just everything about you. He said, he feels like the West Coast it's a piece of bread, and the East Coast it's the other piece of brand. You can't have a sandwich without of the South at the meat in the middle, holding on trans and Tedious looked at that, just thinking that that was a real hard course. How did you think of that? Ana? Me and that ship just hard dog with it is. I couldn't argue with try to Mama, your dad and your foundation. You know what I mean, your root. We come here because you know why what it is like. We don't get to choose where we're from, so we all love it. But it's always falls from where we're from too. But we don't We don't never We don't never say the floors. We don't never say, Yo, you know, New York is the best city in the world. We got rats. We don't say that. We don't say the New York's the best city in the world, but the Manhattan apartment man has a couple of roaches. We don't say that. We just say the good thing. So I just want to be the person to say, man, please, we gotta change that narrative because we're all one. We should be all on the same motherfucker game. I said, already said it got there a game. But um, I haven't been watching the versus battles. Uh. I saw one of them. I don't remember which one it was. You know, I'm hearing him about t I okay, t I and g j okay. You know I gotta know that I wouldn't go get. But you've been from the southeast being your protege somewhat to speak, because I'm another problem. When I think of the kick of the South, I think of you. T I claims to kick of the South. Yeah, but I think of you. I know that's no dispecting my man. But what do you think of when you say t I against cheesy man? That's uh interesting blend you know, but Tia my homie, Jesus my homie too. And I'm gonna I'm gonna let their work speak for us exactly. Cream. Okay, who do you think Drake could do? A versus way? M Now, let me say this about Drake. I think he wanted the best I ever heard. Okay, you know that's that's a lot coming from you. And you don't even like when the first matter. Remember I mean when it comes to hits. Okay, yeah, I seen them all through hits like, yeah, nobody didn't nobody you know what I mean? Singing and rapping? Yeah, I meant different ship got Spanish, I got the Spanish to me. I'm telling you on a whole different frequency. I ain't saw no ship. Like, what do you do? What are you saying here? J prince. There's nobody could battle, so who bends who would be the best considered the best outside of the Drake Little Wayne Jay z Okay, I don't think Jay leaving his house. I don't think he's coming out first. I mean if he if he would like it, you know what I mean, they're on the same team. Now. I'm gonna kick you out the room. For a second. That was not a good I thought, you know what up? I thought about it for a second. I say, you know, whoever you put it from me gonna hold his zone. You know what's up with like Draker? Actually the battle to motherfucker, lets say bout himself. He can battle to motherfucker. He can battle in you Chris Brown or Trey songs with just R and B do's mo RMB against y'all and then I'm battling. I gotta be careful. I don't know who else is battling. But he could battle in the hip hop. What you think he did? That could happen now because nobody wants to lose two against one, like it's two much going hip Yeah, he can't battle nobody another genre. Speaking about of Michael Jackson, Michael jacks that's up in the head. Yeah you ever met Michael Jaglon No, I never meant Mike. I mean, yeah, she smells like peaches. You don't just have the jetted jack always. We always got Jetty. We love you get it that as s Authory Soth, how was this? I'm seriously smell like, oh my god, was ready? How did Janet Jackson experience? I met Janet one time, the Jackson Experience. I meet listen. I was using the studio. She was in the next studio. So she's so much for superstars. She made everybody leave the studio before she walked in, just to walk right past us. And no one had just told director, do not look at her eyes? What the fun is going on? After? About Chris Lady with Chris because light out there. I made six thousand all this on the chesters. They can give the outside. They're kicking us out. That's a penny walking through penny some good time to Chris, Like, if you're gonna get it that, let's talk about the Janets girl. What happened when she when she it was it was a pass by introductions, Okay, no special, just this a little back little it was did you say how did you get on the show introduction? You know? And oh god damn it, lots of going on. I've never been a pagan may bars. Okay, that's Janet, That's yeah, that's challenge Jane got. Damn holy holy Malcamore. I think that's who she's with them. Who's the most famous person that you met? And they knew who you was and they that sucked you up? Hm? My mother, I didn't even thinking that one. I don't do that. I didn't even dig it that one. So um ah, what's something happens in hip hop? For lack of a better term, You're like the farercon for lack of a better term, like the p ain't never heard the peacemaker. What I mean by that is you're the verses everyone could go to. Like my problem is every time I've ever went to Houston, Texas, I'm always called checked in prior. Yeah, so I'll say, yo, listen. You know I may not of people direct with you, but I'll be like, yo, I'm gonna be in the area. I think the problem is a lot of people call you after the problem curves. Yeah, am I accurate? Or a whole lot? You know what I mean? But I don't accept everybody calls, you know what I mean? They have to be family related some way. Okay, Yeah, so recently U nb a young boy. Yeah, I've seen a blog I believe are you're sitting there and you had the young boys jury. These guys, these guys came. So how does this happen? Because I don't understand what do they do? That is this? You're a personal line? You got like at the rap game? Wrong? Well over this this is like when you really street rooted, you know what I mean, when you like really street rooted, you could make calls and uh, people that respect you. You know, I find that ship it but give you information that's needed to you know what I mean to bring the results for certain ship. Right. So it's it's it's just another form of respect and layerty. Listen, lawyer and lawyers got there. Let's take a shot of lawyer. See I'm taking a shot, but you got damn it. I don't take a shot of that. That's right, it's I'm I'm a white drinker. Can you open this up for me? Lee? It's very true. We need a bottle girl. That's just how the law. We need a girl. I've told my wife, this is how bad it is. I'm told my wife, I said, listen, we need a bottle, girl. You gotta help us get one being can't have it from the era where the labels And this is you guys starting this movement of really pushing all these records locally and state level, on a local city level. What do you think the difference now? Do you do you see a positive in the streaming error today versus that error? I mean I think, yeah, I think it is it is, you know what I mean? And I think, uh, like, I'm a positive thinker, So I don't like going back to ship that don't exist. I think what exists right now it's perfect for the hustlers to take advantage of, you know, the opportunity that exists right now, and it's beautiful. Do you think these young boys even need to recolla at this point? Uh? I always think it's a good thing to control your destiny, you know what I mean? So, yeah, it's your ship. So I don't I don't see a problem with submitting to anybody never, but man, I never I never had that mentality where I wanted in any other way. Yeah, So, um, was the getting boys your first success. Uh, well I had a lot of success. Why uh, I would say so yeah, okay, So how is that because it's these three people who didn't know each other obviously, from different parts of the state to the parts of the city, and you get them together and it works. Yeah, it's all the praise going to you as all the praise going to the artists, and they've been the benefits. Yeah, never never eye and we you know what I mean, we we we've done everything together. You know what I mean. I wouldn't I wouldn't there, you know what I mean, take the credit, you know what I mean. Yeah, we was able to deal with all the challenges, all the trials and tribulations and conquer you know, all of that ship and you know be or what we built. We're taking the shot of this motherfucking loyalty with you. God damn it still man. Yeah, I like that, like watching that. Like it together. Baby. So so being an executive, how hard is it sometimes when the artist because you know, it looks good when the artist hangs out with you. And has ever been a time where he was burning so much money on this artist and he wasn't making you money? I mean that goes along with the with the game. You know, everybody's not gonna win, so you control that though calculate you know what I mean. You mean the artist does no. No, You as an executive, you control that the wind or you control how much money you're gonna burn, you know, being a being a good entrepreneur, you don't want to go over board where that ship. But that ship is concerned, right, It's it's not about feelings and emotions in this game. The business is business. So you have to be able to separate the two and keep that ship moving. Have you ever had to tell the person you're man, it's not working out and the ship no problem with that man. You know, that's that's part of the game. If not, you'll be broke. Yeah, because you know most artists they come, they leave a record label, they make this records and you know they happens. Ever been an artist that did that to you? I ain't really heard about it. Now I think she's here. I'm just all over the the the world with my questions. But what is the connection with you and Julia oh Man? Julia go Away back magazine. Yeah, you know, probably before Olson, you know, murder Julie Julie is uh. Julie always been a hustler in her own way, you know what I mean, And that that she built she had nobody helping her. You know what I mean. She stood on man, believe in herself and I respect you know, all creative minds. I don't give a damn where it comes from, you know what I mean. I just you know, game, respect, game contemn. So she she earned my respect by the thing she done. And even up until this day, you know what I mean, she still got that work as she still did with master P. They was arguing slightly. I like, I like your ground. I like it. I liked it. Have you ever had an idea that? Because I mean, honestly, um um Jake, when I read that she was twenty two years over the cart, or maybe even younger than that, that tells me off top you you think different, Like I really thought, I'm forty three years old. I really thought, I don't know, I don't know anybody wants a car? Car? It was that even your first business? No, I don't think that was my first business. I always thought, you know what I mean, he always had a different you know, from eight years old. You know what I mean, I was on some different ship. But then then a lot of the people that was older than me and hanging with me, you know I was. I was just on a different frequency that that come from a place from the creator, you know what I mean. I didn't, I didn't do nothing. That just was a blessing. Not your brother's name was sure, rapp a Lot. That's where you got rap a Lot? Right? Is he home? Because I thought it was twenty years ago? Right? You know, my brother done twenty some years and he got out and he went back. I think get doing another thirteen just you know, you know what I mean. But it's two things we get every day we wake up, right, a chance and a choice, you know what I mean. And the choices that he may after he get his chance, that's on him. He had to live with that because I know he like, man, that's my name, as I though, like they were living in your name rather like God. So did you understand how instrumental rap a Lot was? Like you know, to this day, anytime somebody say anything independent, they say, man, you're gonna do it? Like how rap a Lot doing? Like, do you realize how much you actually mean to the game? Um? You know, I think about the respect. That's uh, that's giving it something you can't buy it, right, you know, you can't buy respecting lawyer to So you know when I when I received that, I I think about it, But back then I wasn't thinking about none of that ship. Yeah, I want you to. I want you to really really like that, you really respected out it, but not just on some you know, street guard ship, on some businessman ship, like on some businessman ship like that was we never we had never We thought we thought that was a big gas conglomerate in Texas and y'all had like white money behind y'all. We had no idea that it was you there was this was your money, this was you your dream. Yeah, that's fucking crazy, man. Let's basal noise that I was taking a little shot at this motherfucking layalty. We talked about y'all being sugar and her getting together. But going further back, was it ever a time that you and Easy and Luke thought of getting together and doing something? Yeah, well, Luke was there when I started. You know what I mean, Luke, I'm right here in Miami right now. Look, we came to Miami and kicked it with Luke. So Luke. Luke was one that was there, you know in the beginning. He was also independent as well. Yeah, so independent. Matter of fact, me and Luke really laid out the blueprint of this independent ship. You know, big up to all the Homers everywhere, Eastern coast, everywhere. But they wasn't doing is independent ship. Yeah, he's because he was being artist. Y'all, was building motherfucker and they were speak up to Russell and all of them, but production deals, you know what I mean, they were gonna production deal. We were taking our hard earned doing everything because we didn't have access to warn of brothers and all them people, all the buildings, y'all was able to go in. But did you try or you you just said I tried and they they told me for me, you know what I mean. Just at the time, you know, underground music was disrespectful what they saying, like, you guys are too South, did y'all? And they were saying the ship too hard. You know, my name is putting out heavy melt on. You know, they were doing everything you know in the other world. But y'all can't do that. I can't say that. You know, we've done a song let the hope be a whole. And they didn't like that. You know, you shouldn't speak on letting the whope be a whole? Did you think about that? I need to music now. This is just they don't even want to make love no more. Just what I got to do. Look, damn, it's a kid. I don't like you. It would be this bad. I mean, I don't consider it bad. It's some different ships that come on, man, let's get with that, James. It's different. It's different ship you think about. I think about it though in the Motown era and wefferent ship like that when they was calling that ship bad. And it's just a different ship. And that's gonna continue to happen, right There's gonna be some more different ship after what you're here right now. It's very It's even in the Golden Area. It was fucked up ship in the Golden Area. There was a lot to us, but to somebody else they didn't say one one latest rag. They'd be another Latest Riches. That's not the truth. God damnit taking the shot at this motherfucking Lloyds. He got damnit solo Sole telling people, come on, we're getting party. Cut you a check. I'm wetting. So what was your first time you met with j Jack jay Z jay Z? Uh damn? Let me think, man, you know, I don't even remember the first time I met with jay Z. Can't tell us a good thing? Yeah, I tell you all interesting story. I don't I don't think JR. Man, I don't leave my n you know. You know jay Z. Then was they were signing with Praude. A lot of people went in there with Praude, got left, right. You know, a lot of people done a lot of ship that I've done. So you was that Priority first, mean and rightfully? So it was a good thing, right, So we'll get on boys. Yeah, okay, because gett boys, all of my ship right before Ruthless was over there, before all of that ship. Jesus So, so Jadam wanted a song with scar Face, right, and they convinced somebody from Priority to go directly to scar Face without communicating with me. That doesn't happen. I mean, that's not the problem. Way okay, okay. So so the guy when he got to the airport and hearston, I got calls that he was in the airport, right, I mean, imagine that ship. I like that no ship when you land, you know what I mean, because it's that deep, right, So the Instagram back that, ye, none of that probably was contacting you, but I don't kind of communication you. So A long story short, A long story short, he pursued his situation right and uh he was in a rich carse and from what I hear, and uh, it didn't go way up on because he didn't do ship protocol wise. Yeah, that's all I want to say about. Okay, I don't even know what happened, just that, so yeah, show what we're down. We met in directly without meeting. Oh and then we met, right if you feel me, I kind of yeah, I don't know what we're talking about people, but sometimes you have to leave it like there. Okay, it like that. So so you met Big although you did meet because there's also a story that you turned your tok box around like Big died, Yeah, and you went and spoke I think called puppy and you smoke the Big on his tok box or something like that. But you know what it was actually before he died, meant yeah it was then no, no, in the night it was it was actually probably a week or two. Okay, you know what I mean, I'm training a bus and I heard he was there, but like Big Puff, no, I considered them family, right, So when I heard that, I said, Okay, that's not a good idea for him to be you know what I mean. You know it was a bad idea. Yeah, in the lines, then through the streets, yeah, you know what I mean. So I wanted to personally let him know, you know, So I went to park, had a conversation with him. Hey, man, this is not and it looked vulnerable to me even at the video shoot. So I left Puff and went in on the bus with Big you know what I mean, Big getting high, you know what, I ain't doing the same, and I, you know what I mean, plant at that sea with him. Man, this ain't go home, This ain't ship, ain't set up right right, And and I left, and shortly after went that happened. I got a call from the investigators, almost assuming as if I had something to do with it, because because I want, individuals don't notice. So therefore they let me know somebody had a conversation with them to say, oh, he warned us of this, you know what I mean. And that was out of love that wasn't I had nothing in my heart vindictive for the home in them. You know, how about we wanted a little bit. But still on the same subject um, what was your relationship? Park was at home and at the time myseft Park he tried to get me to to go out with him. Old man, it just came home from prison, you know then that invitation. Yeah, so and he died a week later. Wow, you know what I mean? It was just at he invited you. This was in the l a ever actually went and had a meeting with we should go over at his office. So after the meeting, they wanted to go out and do their thing. But how did you like avoid the east coast West coast obviously from the south, but you have so much connections to both sides, like you could have easily been thrown in like and with rolled with either coast. I felt like you probably were working over time trying to stop happen. Was that work work for you during that time or was it like every day at work? You know, It's something that I wanted to intervene and be down with. And actually I wrote in my book where I had a meeting with Puffy and Jimmy Henshion, you know what I mean to the Holmes, and I was hoping we could find a meeting other mind situation where you know, I could bring everybody to the table. But after I heard the stories, you know, I couldn't. I couldn't stand in that position, knowing what I know. You know, it's like a lot of people sometimes they say, man, Nor, you're the only person that's cool with fifty cent a gile ruth. Yeah, like, I'm kind of cool with the cool the boat, and I just don't feel like this ship is wrap ship for me to intervene. I just I just stay out of it. Is that how you felt felt I mean what I mean. It could be close to that, you know what I mean, It could be deeper than that. And you know, puff the Homae right now, puff family a little shoot the homeade. I love him, But you know what I mean, that was a situation that, uh, I felt ship should have been done that wasn't done. And therefore, you know what I mean, I couldn't. I couldn't stand with a straight face and be like, hey man, you know what I mean that or right, I understand and know it's there. You know, the crazy shit about that and I'm so sorry to say this way, but I didn't think it was gonna go that far. I really did. I really didn't like, like, Big didn't think it was gonna go that far. I remember Big saying to me, nah man, because Big really didn't have to do He really didn't like So when I stepped the Big and I was like, yo, he was like, nah man, because I really didn't do that. So like he really didn't have nothing to do with the actual robbery that he was being accused up. And I'm telling you he had no reading from for quiz. I'm from Brooklyn. He would have said something to me real fast. But so and I know you're telling the truth from even deeper perspective, like I knew to do like and I swear to god, he didn't like. I was like, yo, manna I don't pocket him. He's like, man, no, you're not. He really like, because I think associated that situation with that one, that the one incident where I know for a fact Big ain't have did but as well, you know what I mean. But here's the thing, like with street naiveness, you know what I mean, street naive, that's hard, you know what I mean? And it was naive for them to be out there, you know what I mean, and be there the way I saw them, both of them. Yeah, you know what I mean. It was naive to not have proper structure around you under those circumstances. I saw it. I tried to you know, way the flag, you know what I mean. You're like, hey, man, go home. You know what I mean, And you know it is what it is to day. But we can learn from that and keep it moving. That makes a look. But now that we're around the deep area, here's a day, Well, I want to ask you about we sore the lean epidemic. Yeah, what I believe in Texas, go listen, I'm got on with him. Eight ball and m j G. Like in Japan, I'm telling about this is like fifteen years ago. The leg like like what is that? Yeah, they're called the tossing back then. And let me tell you something. What what eight one? MG? But which one is the big one? Eight ball? From Japan to JFK sixteen hours straight? The white ladies seeing us all board together, I go to the bathroom. She taps me. She says, yo, frien A move for sixteen So I'm like, what I'm not. I'm about used to this. I'm gonna we drink all English. So I'm like, what are you talking about? Saying he hasn't moved, she said, I'm not Like She's like, I don't know what's going on. So I don't know what to do. So I go to m j G. I'm like, yeah, so we had to go like this under his nose and and like he wouldn't wake up, but you knew he was alive. And that was the first time I had ever came across I came across the lean Or Scissor, but whatever, these it's all the same ship. This goddamn laarder take out of me feeling I'm gonna taken shot. So I'm sorry. Um so, I'm sorry to be all over the place, but I'll take your time. PEPSI, you'll be in the big homee. They call you the sat Pepper in l A. And was this something that you felt like, because yeah, it's it's twitter hair Well, I just recently lost one of my friends. Yeah, we sorry to think Roster, we just we see and I saw his problem, yeah, but I didn't address it because he was in pain. Yeah, like he was in a wheelchair. So I've seen when he was taking certain medications and things like that, and I felt like I should have stepped up a lot more. Is that the case with it? Did you see Pimp going down or he kept that away from you because you're the big home. No, you know that piece right there is not would happen to Pimp. I think Pimp. I think he had kind of comfort that Lean situation. You know, one of the things he and I had conversations about while he was locked up over and over again that you know what I mean, that wouldn't be an issue for And I don't believe that is what contributed to his situation. But you know, Lean is like a chief version of Heroin. You know what I mean? What is invented in Texas? Oh? No, you mean damn that thinking? I mean screw in the home music in that sense was Yeah, I ain't never heard of it ship in fol Texas. Okay, so you know we own that. So what was the first time you heard it? Lead though? Uh, and then I'm gonna get back to Pam. I'm sorry. I think the first time I heard of it was connected with screw with School. Screw School. Think it's there you do it school. Yeah, I could have been before, you know what I mean, because we related it when we heard Screw. Yeah, that slowed down musically like what's a lot? We didn't think you was crazy? We said, what's rude because we didn't understand that that went with the lead, like if you won't leave, that's it's chopped the screw correctly. So the first time you've seeing somebody only in all you see, what was your reaction? That was heron You knew what you knew? You know, I understood and come my dad explained that ship to me. You know what I mean, He really gave me the game. He said, they really wants some hair run, but they with the cheap vers, you know what I mean, A screw but Screw. You know, Screw was a real intelligent, unique guy man, even in the Mr Lean you know what I mean. I had an opportunity to meet that brother. I had to tell his story. You know, DJ Screw ain't no told his story at least but DJ Screw. When I met Dj Screw, DJ Screw was being uh extorted by an artists that was connected with me and I didn't know nothing about the ex story. But that was the one supposed to be extorting it. So it was because you're in yeah, DJ, he was paying artists right a monthly, no real ship because they was connected to you. Yeah, because because I was artist, was telling him that I had that. So after he and I had an opportunity to get together in my office, I'm looking at the staff right, and then he's sitting and looked at He said, Man, you ain't nothing like they say you are, right, So I'm like what you mean? And he broke that ship down to me, say, man, I've been that, you've been getting your money. I don't know nothing about your ship. Like a lot of ship go on. You know what I mean that I don't know nothing about it, like you know, screw you up. You know, I end up falling a little with screw man, you know what I mean. But I just had to say that ship, you know, artists was storing him. Yeah, using your name. Yeah, I'm not going to ask for the artist. This is what I want to ask. I'm not gonna do it. Do let me say this about it. He did. Okay, God bless that he's not here. Question, so are you gonna jump back in the boxing game if I ain't never left you never lied, you know, that's my first love. Okay. What the music? Yeah, a little boxing? I love boxing too. Yeah, so what's happening now in boxing? Are they're gonna put people in their seats? No audience? What Chico just got sucked up right here? You ain't that? I got so many of us she of course Stevenson, Okay, you know what I mean, along with Jerry, I got I got the future in the headlock, and we're looking forward to seeing them rise and do what they're gonna do. They thought nor Mochico was the next Floyd May brother. They found out early that's not possible nowhere in there flow no with man Floyd right then she cour Stevenson kor Stevenson specially okay, and what with the vision here one thirty okay, so that's super fathom when I's gonna yeah Featherway Feathery, Yeah, got them, you know, and I know my ship. You know what saying. I'm over here. You know what I'm saying. I know you know your boxing to brother, I'm watching you, brother, you know what saying. God damnit, some nors watching money got damn. So it also told me you got your own island. You got, you got Jake Prince Island. Yeah, I got that couple of a couple of damn you. It's some funny ship about the island ship. Right, I used to I used to tell home. I used to dreaming this ship understand everything that we normally accomplished, even this drink Champ. You dream of that ship before it came to fruition and right, I believe in sometimes niggas a laugh about your dreams. Right. So I was on some olive ship. Man, I want the island. One day we have pigs and there out with picks. Ship come to fruition and and you know, niggas left with their mouthful. They laugh at drink Champs. French islands. Got that? I like? Please? Oh you know Shine about to be the governor. Yeah, yeah, I kicked it with Shina. Yeah I want Shine, but I want Shine to become elected officer to believes. But we can't sm weed on camera because he's an elected of Fisher. Now we can't. We can't have we get a drug. I'm getting drup. But I think some people still frown upon on weed and services. You know what this is medical? Better do it on his Island on his prison press laws prison, So you did I know this is a weird question. We think gun control needs to be fixing America. Gun control, Yeah, because I agree, would everybody be able to have a gun who can protect their family. But there's the people that you find just to see that's nuts and shooting other places. People that got three day gun license and just so what do you feel about that? I know Texas a big gun state. I was in the subway one time. I've seen the white boy just fat us going out. What the is going on? Nothing? Yeah, I mean I love Texas laws of concern, you know what I mean. You know where a structure need to be uh in place and put the ship in place, you know what I mean. But for as Texas laws, I love Texas law. Okay, what a Texas law, the little Texas law. You can carry some ship, you know what I mean. It's open carrying you. But in Texas, of course, you can get a gun license and do you know carring everywhere for even without a gun lights and you can carry that in your call unlike New Yall here here as well with other license you can have three steps three yeah, yeah, yeah, you can have that ship in Texas. You know what I mean, we kill animals and ships. Yea, even a south By Southwest they got long guns walking around. I don't go to south bast Get But I want to talk about checking in. A lot of people look at checking in as if that's a bad thing. Yeah, I want you to. I love checking that because if you come and who's supposed to check in? What I'm like, Man, I got a hold lot of pinions, but I wanted to start with the big home. Yeah, like like with me, I don't that's up to the individual. You know what I mean. I don't try to impoll When I was in my twinnes, I had a different state of mind that I had right now, right, I mean, that ship happens. Uh, it's an asset to come in and have relationships with individuals in the city that you're coming into, and anybody to understand that as a fool, you know what I mean? If your fool, then sometimes bad news, yeah, you know what, Sometimes bad news beat news beat your home. It's hard. But but I don't, you know, I don't require that ship that it's up to it. But why do people fit check it in? It's a bad day because a lot of people thinking ability you know, only go up to a certain floor, you know what I mean, And if your elevator only go up so high, then you you you short circuit on different ship, right, So you you started, you start like alligning your pride and different ship to like make something bad I mean or something good good? Yeah, you know what I mean. You turn to miss the mean into a felony unnecessarily because just just think about the logic to it. I go to Houston last dame, I'm in time. That's respect to me. He might be busy. You might say, man, you need somebody want you or I'm good. I'm you know, I'm going to Galeria, gonna check in. I'm good. The brand means something. But this is what I'm trying to say. So now what happens is now most people go and then they go to queens. Oh, then they go to to the box and then they hit me. After that, Man, I was hanging out with dude, I thought was your friend. Hey man, he wasn't so friend. What do you think that he? Yeah, looks for squirrels same as animal and you chose that ain't got on animals and you didn't call me. Yeah, it's not a problem. Yeah, I mean, it depends on the for a lot of times, you know what I mean, when you are choosing to do it your way. You know a lot of people think they're tougher than you, know what I mean. They're like, oh, in case sh it happened to me, you know what I mean, and then ship happened to him and they have a change of heart. But I think the wise thing to do, and even with me, you know what I mean, I'm always looking for connections and relationships that I have in different respect for ship too, to move smoothly with nothing wrong with that. I think Dreamer Champs work is because I knew we shoot these years, we've met people that show love and it's it's nothing wrong with that. Like I think me and you got close because us. Every time I came to Miami, I did not buy anybody else's weeds. I don't know you didn't sell weed. But I love you. I love you. I can see it from you like you know and whatever, you know what and more than me for ever having problems in Miami, I noticed that when people come to a certain people city, so you know what's associated with somebody and it helps they again, who checks it? Because for example, we're talking this and someone's gonna listen and Forest he gonna go to Houston and he's gonna try to call Jake Preston check. He's like, I'm going back to my because you see, you see Jake Preston's homies. That's the way. That's what I'm said. A lot of rappers, I don't even have they number. I have their homies. I have this street guy from their crew number with them. That's why, you know what I'm saying. That's why I relate to a little bit more like I don''t know how to go Hollywood. I've been trying for twenty years. I've been trying anything. I've been trying to go anyway. World work. I think lords work. But I just don't understand how certain people say, well, well i'm gonna go to the town. I'm gonna just live like that's that's like ignorant to me. Yeah, well, food of food, despised wisdom, you know what I mean. Sometimes you can't stop him from falling off cliff. You gotta think out a fall off and something just fall. Let's take another shot, yer shot I'll take a shot to wine shots of wive. This is Loyalt Double Coming. I met them time before. Yeah. Stop, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm gonna take it. Baby, I got a baby. You know. I'm out here feeling great, man, I'm feeling great. I'm really listen, man, you really really an icond out here, Like I really want to tell you how much I respect you, because, yeah, you know, me being the East Coast do a lot of people don't don't really know how much we blueprinted a lot of things after you because you know, it's always highlighted for the South because you did it for the South, but you did it for hip hop too. Yeah, so we we we we claim to you too. Yeah you know what I'm saying. So just in case people don't know that, like in New York, were the same thing. Like, yo, man, you know what you did was remarkable. I felt like you were the first Motown. I don't said it earlier a little bit, but did you decorate your household after Motown? No? I can't. I can't say I've done that. But but Biggest said it best when they say I'm not from Houston, but you know what I mean. I understood it even you know way back then that you know, you know things are being looked at and respected. But you know, I received that, you know what I mean, I received that coming from you because the feeling is mutual. I respect what you're doing. That's why I'm here thinking. But thank you taking. But let me just take bro. We have never seen hustle like that. We have never like And I swear to guard I swear when I first heard of rap a lot, and I said that earlier, I really thought it was a big fat white guy cowboy hat on. Like I swear, it was so professional. And I'm just talking and I'm realizing as I'm researching you that you was learning on the job. That's would be, that's that's what we have to learn on the job. But I was gonna tell you from the outside of looking at yeah, it didn't looked like he was learning on the jaw. Looked like he was professional. And look like this ship was calculated. It looked like everything was strategic. And I'm sure everything was calculated strategy, but I didn't know this was this this this young man for motherfucking you know, young black man. And that's the reason why we have to highlight your story everything you do, from your books to your movie to your documentary. I don't even know if a big a documentary were gonna documentary to everything we yeah, dream Chest, It's important every motherfucker thing you did, because it takes nothing for me to show you your love and you deserve it, like you one of them dudes that not only worked hard and you out here still living, y'all who still lift you this jame. This is what I hate in this game. This is the reason why I believe me and I f started this. I hate that they try to throw the older people out, the people that have ten years and better every other job. When you have ten years and better in the in the business, they call you season. They don't even have a word for washed up in in the white world. They don't have a word for washed up in fucking jazz world. But in hip hop they have a oh he's washed up. Why why do we even have these vernaculars in our language? We shouldn't I think that listen to and do whatever the funk you want for the rest of it your motherfucker world. Yeah, I'll tell you some funny ship. No, no, no, I'm going to say something. But yeah, I mean, hey, man, Foods come up with all kinds of ship, right, that ship gonna happen because you know, a lot of these dudes, like I say, don't know how to think right, so they come up with different ship to anything that's good. Motherfucker want to paint a picture of it being negative or whatever. So we can expect that, right, But you know, to answer what you're saying, you know the feeling once again and mute man. Game expect game all over the world, all over the world, and it's drink Championship. How do you know? How do you with social media? Because I'm not gonna lie. Social media it's a horrid place and it's a great place. It's very not social antisocial. It's like it's like I automatically know when I post yeah, and if I get a hundred comments, I know twelve on them. It's gonna be loose and listen, they're gonna say ship. I've never been told none of this ship I've ever been told to online person. No one's never said that to me. Like I'm I'm not acting like I'm like, you know, super and you're not super super dog. I'm not like that. But I'm saying to me, like if I post something, and it would be something innocent, like hey man, you just took a shot of kan yet you your car? Yeah? Like how do you? Because? And me, at first, I wouldn't answer these people back, and my people would give me like you know, you have six hundred thousand followers. The person you just told you has six And I'm like, soul, he's where at me? Like not only motherfucker, you just gave him sixties five thousand followers. I didn't know that. So how do you deal with that? I mean, you have the yeah, the renom humming yourself dation you got you and it's not reality. You gotta talking to you talking to ship that don't mean nothing, you know what, I ain't no telling wouldn't be So I've learned to try. I try not to pay that that ship much attention. Yeah, you know what I mean, because almost like I'm talking to a goddamn statue or something, you know what I mean, somebody that's yeah meaningless engles. So you know you can't allow that ship to throw you out of your from your movement, you know what I mean? I understand what it is, and uh I have a team that deal with a lot of it, so I can't, like, I can't receive that ship personally to the extent where I want to look that individual up and be like, I'm gonna suck you up because I see the comedy guy. He uh he pranked you. Yeah, this is good. Know what war he pranked you? Ye? If he close ways like I want, it makes you I'm good. Well, I was gonna him straight up and calling me in a bad time. He was, you know what I mean, he was on some different ships. What I'm saying, when I like a mother, he come back, I'll tell you. I'll tell you so. Um. Every time I always seen you, you always showed me love and you always offered me help. Yeah. You always say you're magestication anything and going right to me when I google you all our TV search. A lot of people I don't know that they put a bad to try to put it like a bad name to you. I judge you on what I seen. Yeah, and what I want to say is you you're really I'm just supposed to say a real gamester put gamester on it, but I don't rely want to use that because gamesters affiliate to a gang, and I don't want to do that to me. That's a real person, you know. I remember one time Juvenile was with you. I don't know if you remember this. I think you just signed you for now or whatever, and me and Julie was talking and you got on the phone. He was like, yo, man, nor just in case you need ain't that I'm here And I needed something at that time. Yeah, I didn't say I needed it, but I need it. And I was like, damn, why did I just say that. I didn't know how to get in contact with you. But the fact is you were there at a moment for me when I needed it. I didn't that because I just I didn't know what's going on at the time. But the fact is I appreciate that. You know what I'm saying, Why how do you develop that? How do you develop saying you know what, let me see this young man doing his thing, but let me add on to it, because that's what I took as saying to me. You know, different gifts like that I think come from up above, you know what I mean, Like like I always, uh, everything ain't about the money, you know what I mean? Even when you g K was concerned my relationship was developed with them personally before it was business, you know what I mean. And I said the same thing to them. You know, if y'all need me, you know, let me know. When I was laying my blueprint down with p and all those guys that was expired by me, you know, it was about just sharing the wisdom because I understand that wisdom is more important than all of this ship, right, So I wanted to share the love. Man. You know, I'm I'm that kind of individual where you know, you don't have to be no contract and more, you know what I mean, if I can share some of my wisdom with you, and that's what I've done, and that that science of respect. I ain't gonna lie, man, I haven't read a book like five years. I'm gonna read this stuff. I broke a box of understand Yeah, let me tall you something. Um, you really an expiration out here. And I want to claim me from the East coast because I know the South claiming so much and you don't got nick motherfulers I would say, Nicks. I don't want to say Nicks no more. They're not just saying just all right, but you know I want to claim you too, man. I want to say how much you inspired me because even drink Chance, Drenk Chance, we did this with a wrap a lot mentality and had you not laid out the blueprint like we were independent of six eight months we had nothing. We just was going out there spending our own money. It's self funding, catching flights. And that's when we looked at each other. Man, we do like rap a Lot said there's something to really shit out and heard coming from the east. You know what. You know, he's the south. Let's finished when you said that, But everys a lot of the side he was watching him was inspired. Yes, man enough, I want you to say that to your face as a man like in in case any of them motherfucker's didn't tell you, I'm telling you I'll be at the East Coast meetings. Yeah, they said, you know, I didn't know something though. I was inspired by them for that's all. That's all that's know. I know what jealous up that's rusting. All them guys inspired me. You know that's another thing I see about you. It's not only I don't see jealousy, but I see you bigging up somebody else. I always see you say okay, well, that guy's knowing that I enjoy it, and they say, yo, he picked up, he picked you up, and you always mean that. I mean, that's who I am as a person, but I don't expect anybody else to be like that. So when I'm seeing you, I'm like, well, how did you like? I don't know how I develop it? How did you get me? And I don't have that disease. I don't have that situation where you know what I mean. You know, I can't big up a man exactly, you know what I mean of a man inspired me. I'm proud of that. I ain't got no none of that malice and ship in my heart that causes me to not be able to say it with my lips, you know what I mean. And I got that from them, you know what I mean. So I'm proud of that. That's what inspired me to be where I'm at today. I'm I'm thankful for this ship and even the ones that I inspired inspired me by what they've done. What you said, masterpiece, you know what I mean. I see what they've done, like damn, you know what I mean. I ain't mad at y'a. I'm inspired by that ship. I'm I'm gonna hustle a little harder, but yeah, I gotta make some noise for that guy I listened to me. I'm prepared for this for a week. Man, I went, I just I called everybody, called everybody one be slim dog a little flint and I just wanted to know everything cause I see anything on the internet. But because I wanted to show you that respect, like really talk because I'm sorry to say this, they will never be another j Crens and that's a compliment. I appreciate it, but it's like also like damn, it's also sad because like that, I don't think you could ever recreate what you did. Like God bless everyone else's error, you know, from death Row. But rapper Lot was rapping Loop. That was the most different ship we ever soul and it made hip hop a better place in a sense if that was elevated it. Yeah, yeah, not gonna beaut of a journey man, just a case. Make sure that's something our call. I'm sorry we had yet now I've been it's been a beau for journey and uh, you know, I'm always inspired by those who appreciate, you know, what I contributed, and likewise, you know what I mean. The feeling is the musical because the ship goes on and on, so ain't no end to it. I'm sorry taking another shot of Loyd Lord me loyal. You gotta do it a lot. I had a lot of Our relationship is very loyal, Jesus us a shot of it. Were doing shots to loyalty. If you ain't got that, you ain't got ship. Got that, Julia, We're gonna is it raining outside and we are back in full of fact and right now we got a journalists extraordin there. We've been on Mike Challenges and all I have seen now she's how you're biking Listen. I didn't know I was gonna be on camera. It's okay when really truly, but I'm hearing masterpiece. So you know what that was about when he was on it all goes back to the Pimpcy book. Okay, when I did the PIMC book, I talked with his mom. I talked to a dozen people who said, yes, they had this altercation. Right, So, as a journalist, you know, your integrity is important. So I'm not gonna put something in print if it's not confirmed by people. And so when I said, are you trying to interview MASTERP about what happened, and he wouldn't speak on it. So if I wastet, what's that? Which is integrity? Because you know the man has passed away. So I mean, I respected you don't want to speak on it. But if you don't want to speak on it, and twelve other people tell me this did happened, and I'm going to write that it happened or you know, this is what they said. So but when he spoke on it on the breakfast club, referred to me as some white girl. Now, so imagine if I said some black guys, it would be disrespectful. So that was my only thing to him, I said, because he came to an event that Jay did and I don't want to put him in the middle of any nonsense or whatever. But Master he made a comment that was I definitely felt was directed at me. He knows who I am, you know, And I made the comment basically, if you're gonna speak on me, just say my name. If you have a problem. I think that's fine, but you're not gonna, you know, dis respect disrespectfully, just blow me off. Did some white didn't know? I'm Julia Beverley, you could say my name, because I didn't understand one time, it's the real, and I said all the two white guys, And I didn't mean it like that. I meant it like, you know, the two white that that everyone knows it's the real. And when I seen Chilling put us that day today, I was taking that. It was the context in which he said it. It was meant to be just maybe all the time, the white girl to be in the club, but I didn't need to be it's the real. I just saying that the two white guys because that's how I described the show. I apologize, I know that sometimes that's kind of inappropriate. But they got mad at it was like, you know what, the two white guys, and I was like, damn, I don't know. I meant it's surreal. So I understood that's only a white girl though it's so here was the truth about the matter, right, Okay, okay, first, first dream camp, let's make some loys balls. Don't take another shot, take another shot of loyal to tell you that. Go ahead, you all right, master people, my homie, right, Julie, My home is well. So I don't want this ship like being twisted up by putting me into something. I'm like, they're wrong as they come, right. But the fact of the matter is y'all work that ship out on the spot, right. Yeah, I love it. I love good people, massive pe good people and keep you know, you know what. I love it. I love this because that's very intimothy, like a person like like and he was like doing and he said, and he said, but you don't know how he said to and he he evaluated. You know, he knew because I had sent up for them to come and they said, he said to them, they said your names. It was just like, I just liked it. Did you did you kind of like stood your ground because you know the good people like you out there, you know what I'm saying, that's part of our culture. That's in our culture. She's a pioneer and pioneer, you know what I'm saying, Like, yeah, so I can feel like it for us in Florida, like what you did for us with the platform that you created that helps so many cats in Florida and the South in general. That I saw the interview y'all did with Tipple. He gave me a nice little magazing guys so old and Florida on Orlando I started in so how hap old on I'm a it was Yeah. I mean people used to call the radio, we call it oh Town, and we're like, oh, that's corny or whatever. So ozone was Orlando. So I just I always looked at myself as kind of I was kind of in the same hustle as the artist. So like somebody like people when I would hear him, you know, freestyle and on the radio, or I just see him out hustling, like I was moving the same way they were. I wasn't a journalist who was just in the office from eight to five collecting check Like I was just out there trying to just trying to make it the same way that they were. So you know, I think a lot of artists respected that in that sense. And I had just excellent timing because at that time you had you know, Rick Ross everywhere everywhere. Yeah, I was all over the place. You know. I think I did have a had a little point to prove, because you know, people would look at me in the beginning like when is this white girl gonna you know, But I like that when people kind of underestimate to you, that's that's extra motivation. Dam good. Did you have anything to do with the Respect book? Yeah? So, Um, I think I had heard Jay speak on it in an interview saying that he was going to write a book eventually, and I think I kind of just planted to see at that point just let him know, Hey, if you need any help, you know, let me know. So it was maybe, I don't know, two or three years later. You know, is that what you transition with from Ozone to say, you know what I mean? I mean the books is really as people read, you know what, Like I'm all over the place, like I have so many different things books. I'm not a reader. That's what just now, I'm just being honest. Like when the first time when we when we recorded the book, he had he had a He's recording for like hours of the time. He had a bowl of popcorn sitting there and I'm just looking at the popcorn, like I know, I can't even like hours just in police when we did the first person pre This is amazing, Chris, I actually transitioned from when I stopped doing the magazine. It really was. The recession was really ultimately, you know, labels didn't really happen to I just like that. It changed a lot. Yeah, but I did. I also felt like it kind of run its course, like it kind of accomplished what we set out to do, which was give people a voice, have beef with the Source. Uh, I mean there was a Benzino. I wouldn't say. I wouldn't say we had yeah, be I'm good with Dave. You don't know how the Benzino. Let me try to give an I'll try to give a short version because this is going years back. I mean I was probably had to be what twenty one or something like that. This was a long time ago, so you know when I when I started doing Ozon when it was a photo magazine. So initially my thinking was like, oh, somebody's going to see this from the Source or Double X people playing South, So why you part of my Spanish people get to you. No, No, it's good. We need the background starting to dance. I'm sorry. So I wanted to be a photographer for the Source or Vibe. Nobody would ever call me back, like I'm this young white girl in Orlando. I'm like, how do I get to that point? So I started shooting some stuff for them. I think I met h Boo and Gotti who were the source, like news editors, artists, No Gotti they were, They weren't at there's another I'm gonna I'm gonna stop you all right now, this is the same movie world. Yeah, take a cold, keep working to keep started. Yeah, so you're gonna make me forget the whole story. So I started shooting. I shot some stuff for the source. They started, you know, using some of my stuff in the photo galleries, and they'd come me a couple of checks. I was getting a few dollars here and there, and it got to a point I think they owed me. I don't know, it's like sixteen bucks or something like that, you know, and like it's been like a year and nobody's responding about my invoices, you know, and it's not even the well, at that point, it probably was the money, but like when something like that happens now, it's not even the money, it's like the disrespect of it, Like you're not even gonna respond back, like you know, like you're playing with me. So um. I think I had been trying to get answers on this invoice. I saw they going into some we were here in Miami, going into some club in South Beach, and I remember it being a little it was a little funny because like they knew me back then, like the you know, all the bouncers they let me in before Dave, and I remember that being like, well, kind of started to get a little pool. But I asked him about I said, hey, I've been trying to get in touch with somebody about my invoice, and he was he was smoking, and he kind of like just looked at me and exhale like kind of in my face a little bit and just walked in like didn't And I'm like, damn, yeah, I doubt he even remembers this, but like to me, and maybe it didn't. Maybe it wasn't intended that it was like to me, it was like disrespectful, you know what I mean. And so I have been hearing all there was all the rumors about how Benzino was extorting him and all this stuff. So we did this year end issue that was supposed to be funny. We gave out all these awards like you know, best whatever, but it was like all really sarcastic. And then I said, I don't even remember details, but best Extortionists or something like that goes to ben Zino. It was a little it was a pretty and I said in the article, like, you know, full disclosure. I'm saying all this because they owe me money, they got you know whatever. So this I wrote this thing. And the funny thing is like when you would write something in the magazine, by the time it actually prints and hits the streets, it's like two months later, you know what I mean. So, so we had an office out here in Miami by the Venetian would teach and I think I'd put some magazines out or whatever. Whenever it reached Miami, I get a call from Dave that like it was like eleven o'clock at night or whatever, a random number pops up and Dave was like cussing me out, hangs up after like ninep cuts people out differently or it's like, because you know, we we use a lot of you like if you feel like that, I'm very curious stuff back then, because I really don't a lot of this stuff is It's been so long, I don't know I remember who'll see Dave. But then Benzino talking Mazino cussing me out for an hour and a half. I'm talking about looking right and I'm very well, I'm gonna throw them in your face. He couldn't that. Okay. I was like a hundred pounds. I'm like, what I'm talking about? Call your select this is what happened. Okay. He cussed me out for an hour. There's audio, you know, you know what's so crazy? But he called me and he cussed me out for like a good ninety minutes. Like it was on specer phone a room back then. He was going, shoot, you had to rulemate, remember I was. It was just like a kid, you know what I mean. But my roommate he's like, who who is this? You know? So after we hung up, I was telling somebody about it. I think a DJ. It might have been a DJ. Quests in Fort Lauderdale or for Fort Myers was the quest I can't even remember. DJ was like. I was telling him about it instantly, remember a well in semester. I was like, you won't believe what just happened. You know. Benzino just cust me. He said, man, I wish you had the audio. I would put it on my mixtape. So I go to the office like two days later, and he had called the office voicemail before he got my cell phone number and the message called you yes, no, but you know what's crazy? I was in I went to SO I said it to Tony Neil DJs. Tony said it to all the DJs like funk Master Flex playd I think was. I think it was funk Master flex like record it was. It's still on the internet somewhere. But I went to uh, I think it was Sweden or Denmark with Trey songs and we went up to DJ was a gay. The DJ like a copy of the magazine and he goes, she goes slood monkeys. So this day, like if I hear the audio, I just started dying back full of viral. Let's take today. But one of the best encounters what your masterp was because you have the ultimate pass right. It's not like you're in a hip hop right now. You're in hip hop. What you with one of the most respect did what's the book at me? Hold that in my hand while I say that one of the most respected men in the hip hop. Is it easier for you now navigating as as a person that's the homie or what is the saying easier navigating as far as the having to seemed j Prince coach. Yes, um, yeah, I mean it definitely makes a difference. Yeah, I looked at it. I would I could. I can see I can see his anger, like, you know, because I think he didn't want to be checked, like he's at a level where you don't you don't get checked, like it's a certain O G status and then once you hit that status, I haven't reached it yet. Well, I felt like when he said, like attacked my journalistic integrity, like I don't just put information at like I don't just take just put it about it. I'm not gonna say something if it's not factual or haven't done the research though. No, but I understand where he's coming from because if you were talking about Pimcy correctly, PIMC, as we all know, has been passed away. It is just I respect that he didn't want to speak infamous story of altercation with between Master Pete and Pimps. I asked him on our show as well. He avoided the question as well, which to me, in the arrow of cloud question, huh you say, pa Vard in the question he he didn't want to because you know a lot, to me, that's honorable because had the man been a love speak on someone that's past and Pimpsy was the type of person to be alive and talking ship. So, so don't really happened? Are you gonna tell us what really happened? I know, you know the whole story. Look at Junior, Lets look at a little more warrior the glory baby ahead. We might get to the bottom of the Do you want to know what really happened? You know I've heard I've heard a lot of different things without well because back if he was your boy and Pimp was your boy, yeah, two loved ones. Right, it's the situation that you kind of hate to choose a side. I tell him all the time, don't make me choose a side. I don't want to go left or right right, And uh, Pe, the Scotland gentleman that he is, uh didn't put me in that position. And we worked it out. We have That's that's the story. Maybe the viewers you know what I mean. I mean, you know, Pete, I love Pe Yellow c and uh you know, ship terming us happened and I was able to smooth and ship out and they actually worked it out. Yeah, you know what I mean. That's the beauty of any controvert thing and ship like that being able to the end and being a beautiful story. That's what happened, you know what I mean. And all that ship that in between that wasn't really important. You know, at the end of the day, they respect the protocol and ship when Pete. When C died, he didn't have no issue with Pete. P didn't have no issue with C. So for any of us to take a position where it was problem us, it's not Rother and me being the journalists. I understand where you're coming from. Now me be immediate. Now, I understand what you're coming from, because because as you have to bring up tough situations because it's it's for the viewers. If you would be like why you didn't ask that? Like you know what I'm saying, Like when I interviewed NAS, I didn't ask about jay Z, and everyone chastised me for that. It's like, I'm like, I feel like the jay Z question has been answered already. You know what I'm saying. So I understand. I understand both both sides. So here's the other piece that go along. That's because to take the other piece got dead. I heard a call from P right from c he decided to embrace us. I mean the ramp a lot, you know what I mean? No, no, yeah, and uh, one step to the it's after a different ship, you know what I mean. The turbinunce took place. You know, he let me know. I had a meeting with him, right, you know, he let me know that, Okay, we're together. So that before we're together. But you know what I mean, and I have to move accordingly to us being together. When I explained that to the home and okay, we're together, you know what I mean. So after that, So that's why I respect master people not talk about it because when you live in an era cloud post good nigga, like you can talk about it's gonna be whatever. But week about is revered as like one of these and this is probably white. Maybe maybe maybe one of his one loss, like you know, he slipped up. Maybe it's one loss, a loss. Oh maybe it's I don't know, I don't know, I don't want I wouldn't, I wouldn't call it a loss. It's just he dealed. He played the hand. He was dead, right, you know what I mean, because you know, some ship was being said that he had to deal with sometimes it happened right, You don't have to like deal with ship and then you have to undeal with the ship you was dealing with when the hand is different. So I mean, y'all get it. Yeah, I get it, we get it. It's a noise. So but everything game, you've been a boxing game. You're in up fucking what's thes this goal? Author? An author? See oh what the I lander owner under place? Prince? What the next? Can you do? What can you do that? This is what you saw it? You said that something and if you said, yo, you dreamed these cars that you wanted to have and you don't want them? Yeah? What then do? What? What do you what can what can yours be like that? Like you still have goals or you achieved them? Are well? I think I'll achieved all my material goals. I don't want to I vote for you president of Houston, though, I'll go I Texas at least how about property, just just to come over it and both of you. I wanted them to Texas. Some ships you can conquer without a vote, you know what I mean? You can just like prove what it is and be embraced in love for what it is, right, so I mean my dreams moving forward is uh, I just want to try and quility in peace. I don't have nothing to prove. I don't ain't often of that ship, right, I'm just giving rapid young boy for example. Yeah, yeah, boy, let's let's touch on that, you know what I mean? Like the homie like he called me, right, I mean he called me when I when that ship heated up. And then it was like somewhat of a misunderstanding, you know, because I talked to his brother and he said that you know, he hadn't heard what his brother said. And you know, young boy being a young boy, you know what I mean, he reached out to me and uh, you know, we was able to communicate, and you know, he said what he had to say. I said what I had to say the end of that. Because I think his his discripacy what you was that you you showed his jury all the end of that and I don't know, yeah, you gotta do a piece of rights gold. How much I believe mistake people. I don't know what so well I think his discripacy was. I think he wanted you to call him direct. Yeah, he you know, just like young boys, do you know what I mean, A lot of times they have uncept of how things should be when when he in reality, they don't have to be that way, right, But you know, at the end of the day, I respect him for reaching out to me, you know what I mean. And as I said, moving forward, you know, I don't have to be his friend and I don't want to be his enemy, you know what I mean. And I wish him the best because the foundation that he's stand on I have laid, so you know, he had to catch up to that. But you know, a little dude, and I wish him the best. Is it ironic that his girlfriend exployed me with his daughter? So damn, I'm just being honest. Something caught his eyes special whenever was concerned, So you know, I mean, you know, sh it happens, and people attracted to different things. You know, I have a homeboard because of affiliated to both sides. Yeah, but I have a homeboard. Like may need some pounds, and he loved a big woman and he don't want to know where we're going with this. Yeah, you know what I'm saying, is anything other than a big woman is in something you don't want number a big two hundred three hundred pound woman. When I first met sunny dmon, pick up a sunny dmon. That's what's he got different big right there in your hands. Yeah, this is something when I first met him. Oh, he wanted his tools. You don't want anything about three that's legal though, you all sounding d like? Is what's sunny d like? Goddamn whatever? Y'all like, what y'all like? That's what make the world go around. Yeah, I just think that this is a little sunny indeed, Ja Christ Week and that's my wife right there. You're walking through my wife just over readest Yeah, ju far bat that. Yes, she didn't hit the lot of you got, Jake Christ the lot of I feel like we got there. So man, I ain't gonna like motor worker. We didn't dropping unread sounds gonna ship up. So have you ever like I've been um taken back from your reputation because I'm gonna be honest like I told, Like I said earlier, I'm gonna reiterate this every time I've ever seen you ending with it. You always show love, but your reputation super succeeds itself. Like people like man keep chap prints chap, Like I think that I'm thinking like good and I went on certain sites they said, why is everybody scared of teperts? Like there was an actual headline? You ever you ever get mad at that? Yeah? I don't. I don't like that, you know what I mean? I don't. I don't try to walk around big. I'm a little dude, you know what I mean. So I don't have no like little dude complex lawyer teeth got lawyer's lawyer got damn you kill the guys and boll Man they got stuff out. So I don't like this ship means nothing to me, right like, But like my old g and Larry Hooper, I got that in my notes. Yeah you know what I mean, A little Larry Hooper. Let me actually go before you continue that. When Rick Ross made that record, I feel like Larry who. Yeah, yeah, was that disrespect? You know? I don't personally I don't consider disrespect, but I don't think it was disrespect, was I mean? I know, Rick Ross, that's the hardly right And why do people take that as disrespect? I don't understand that. You know, once again the elevator. You know, certain people can't. Yeah, you know what I mean, Sometimes you have to like really deal with it and and I did you know, I let Ross telling that story. But you know Ross is, uh, that's the Homan and that's smooth going forward, but it says a lot because I want to be careful. What was the misunderstanding to your knowledge? Like when you know, even using the big homie name, you know, like it's I don't want to get into people. Cool cool, And I could see a lot of things. But you know what's what's important is uh, you know I was able to speak up with a home is what's concerned Rick Ross, And I know he had no I don't think any mean dirty shit in his heart. So as you can see, we're moving forward. And uh, but that's my old g I love it, man, Yeah you know what I mean. It's so much deeper than wrong. Now you're being from Texas, Yeah, he'd being from Chicago. How did that happen? Let me explain that. Okay, Chicago is the first sitting in embrace Rappa Lot before the South Chicago embrace Rappa Lot. Yeah, that's that fact. The whole mid West get the coroo d trod cleaning on how they embraced me before anybody else. I wasn't ready for the assid so so I never forget that, like you don't forget the bridges you cross, you know what I mean. And and they embraced me, and they embraced us because they could relate towards more so than any to gettle boys your vision in the beginning, and and then leading me to meeting with Larry Hooga, Okay, you know what I mean. I had an opportunity to sit with this man like we sit together man, the opportunity to tap into his thinking ability and thinking to who he really is, you know what I mean. We walked to yard and had conversations, and those special conversations to me which led to he and I speaking on the intro. You say walk the y'all, We say, walk the yard, y'all. Was independ together. Yeah we're in the jail. Here he here and don't alligator boots and you know what I mean. He was dressed better than me, and I was to him in the pen. But say I did not You just said, I'm just saying you walked the yard. Then we walked and talked. Okay, jail listen ya, gotta kids hit the book. Holy. We had opportunity to walk and talk and spit real game at the time. Now I had that thing on, mom, because that's how they set him up with a bug and a wristband two, charging him with all the charges that you're charging him with. Right, We're gonna show this on a vault right now too. That's that us ho. Yeah, uh what does he help on a couzy swamp where I just said that, yeah, good taste in the kids in It's just the way that was So what was important or was the conversation we had and the brilliance that he possessed. We saw to me, we layed to you know, the intro that are done on the getto Boards album that the FIDS and the state officials threatened me to not put out. Right, You're like, you put this out. This is what's coming, this is what's coming, this is what's coming, and that at the end of the day, I'm like, you know all that's coming that's going out, you know what I mean? That he the message that he delivered is relevant to date about gainst the go to the pole, you know what I mean, he's spent like real science. This was over twenty years ago, but he's spent science as relevant today because the truth standing forever. The lie you have to keep changing, right, the truth don't never change. It was it stands in tends of time. So he was spending the truth even way back then and is relevant right now. Yeah, you need the podcast. Yeah, that's what causes them, you Julians beauty. I'm already producing right now. I got five episodes done, which that's what causes them to fear who he is. But he's really uh like a prophet, you know what I mean. He really possessed those qualities to lead us today. And I'm gonna says so I'm gonna say something. I'm gonna say something that I say a lot. I don't think anybody ever paid attention to me, but I've been to Chicago in those in those days with my baddest family is from Chicago. Yeah, I appreciate it more with O. G. S had control of it as opposed to now, where like I used to go to to see my brother, the Latin Kings will be on top of the motherfucking because it's my span is family, So the Latin Kings will be on top of the roof like that that takes that take me coming through so serious and that's when older ogs was. Now there's no structure anything. So that's when Chicago like got loose. It's when they took Larry who was the way they cook took. Uh, it's been proven and show up. Um what's my man name? Um from for um Jeff Ford. That's that. That's that's the dude that I see the documentary on him and I'm a kato the span dude like when when they took away the leaders and I think police actually recognized that. I think police knew that once they took the leaders of these organizations. A wait, that's this young dude attitude that we're dealing with right now, like funk everybody else. Yeah, because we deal with that, we have O G s that would give us consequences. Not I don't have O G. Do you agree with what I'm saying on you? No? One under said. Now, it's about the I G O O G. You know, yeah, but let's put that off the graphic right now. Yeah. You know, the O G is dominant in Lanta, hooba is is relevant today and you know what I mean, when he come in, you know, we all ride with him. He said, he coming home soon coming and look, you never get you never get scared of the connections you've got because just think about it, like it's not a lot of people would ever say they spoke to Larry woman walked around jail with him with gators. Yeah, one of one. You have to like understand fear. Fears. It's something that's not of guard, you know what I mean. So you can't embrace fear and said fear it's black. It's not of God, that's not of God. No, you're being fear. That's the death. Yeah, that's some dark ship. You're scared. That's the best, some other ship. You submitted to something that's less. And so Ris Jimmie offer very this is, this is, this is so light that man, a little shot up taken the same time, you know in the red It's okay, it's okay. That is called that's called neutru. It's you know what I'm saying, Like you miss with the white, it's called neutro. God, damnit, man, let me tell you something, Jay Prince, And this is crazy. I also want to big up your son too, because we spoke about him, but I didn't pick him up, and I want to make sure I do big him up. Always a respectful dude always every time I see him, Always what's up? Yea. But not only that. Every time I do an episode I google as me, I go to Twitter because Twitter is my most negative ship. Every like I got all my allar ship. So I go to Twitter because I want to get that out the way real fast, like let's get the neg activity out. Yeah, And I said, Yo, y'all got any questions for Jay Prince And here's to respect to yourself. Yeah, twelve people. I got a hundred messages, twelve people. This is within Twitter, like twelve to twenty minutes. So people said, is he basing his thing on his pops? And I said, oh, this is young. They don't know I'm talking mother pops. But that let me know your son is laying down motherfucking ground. You know he can come out of my nutban that you no, no, no, but that goutta that gotta feel good that guy. I'm crying on them that he's not only continuing legacy, he continued with respect. I think I'm there, and I apologize for for for going back. I think that was the most problem that I had when I heard the birdman that didn't pay or the discrepancys was was I see the character of your son? Yeah, he's a version of you. He deserves. Yeah, so I didn't understand where the disconnector was. Did you understand where the dis connect was? Enough, I'm gonna take a shot. Your shot. You can't put that down? You know, you got you gotta know that he do. Come on, y'all know, I don't really drink. Listen, your ship it's illegal. So yeah, speaking of the Homer, but with the homie, yeah, because yeah, once again he found himself in a situation. Well, you don't understand all that happened there. Like I'm from the school where everybody don't go right, and I feel like whatever you've done all became that came before me. I don't go you know what I mean, because I ain't gonna react the same. I'm gonna I'm gonna do different ships. Right. But along that eLearning, I understood that what had happened, you know, I grew to understood what had happened. And with that advance that they had took, they found themselves in bondage. They would never want to like, you know what I mean, it's not no ship that cash money would want to admit, but I'm sure you don't mind here and the truth. You know, when you take such a large amount and motherfucker want their money back, right, I won't use some paper. I own my paper, right, you know what I mean That we're gonna agreement and I'm in control of it, then I'm gonna grab my paper before you get anything. And here's something. Had agreement or no, it was it was a solid agreement, okay, because I understand the penis and you told him that. Yeah, but lit we sign the people, Okay, I'm sorry. By same token, I wasn't a well you know what I mean all that recouping action, So to me, that was a pause. That was a pause, and once again we got it straight, you know what I mean, the best way we could get it straight. Goddamn, you're gonna eat for the rest of your life. But you know what, dope that ship, you know, that was an interesting I am told his story, but my son had you know, of course, brought break straight to the table and certain people trying to cut him out the picture. Imagine that, you know what I mean, y'all going chopped this whole cake up and he not included, right, you know, I had to make some calls, you know, first to the home and summer my son not included, you know what I mean, almost like, Okay, we're gonna just chunk your little something for bringing so I can turn that ship around too. Oh so let me get this straight. I want to get Mr. Come out the door to listen, So let me get this straight. So they not only agree with what they said was we're just gonna piece you off for what was it called discovery final s feet Now I'm in for the rest of my life exactly. And that wasn't kids money, that was some other people. But I got this ship straight, like we know, find the fee niggers, right, this is a fee feed. We're like really in this ship was the first like challenge. Then we got that straight and then you know, hey, you know I can't complain about none of that ship because ultimately it uh, it was a blessing, blessing, you know what I mean, it turned out that way and the end, you know, you know how ship is the challenges along the journey and this depends on what you do to cause your destination to be what it is. And I made that ship be really profitable. It doesn't make things awkward for like Drake though, does he have any saying that conversation what I'm saying, he's lawyer for the easier way to put it. But here's my question, and I want to be ast of the manor how awkward is your relationship with bird Man? Now? After that? Is it awkward or it's just like it is what it is. I'm okay with it, Okay, I ain't had the comments just beeper than just bird Man slim okay as well, you know what I mean. Both both of them like with me. But you know what I mean, It ain't bird Man siventy five slam point a fifty fifty because I understand what happened from the route, you know what I mean. So I'm all right with them. You know what I mean. They ain't my enemies, and you know I consider I still consider I'm distant family. You know what I mean, and what I like. If I put in a situation where I have to ride with them, I choose to ride with them, you know what I mean, because the good, I wait, the bad. Yeah, that's the way I feel about this ship. So the cash money and ump set, we ride them and push your teeth right now, you ride, I want them God looking your teeth, you cat me. I'm glad they left it alone. I'm glad that being squashed. I'm glad they squashed. Shot back and grig. Do you want to bread? You know you don't drink it old drink to night. You don't want to glass yet, you don't want to glasses the hard I've never drank and then I want to drink. No, I don't want to be first. I don't mean the first, no reason though, I just, I just I don't want to be the person that old start drinking. Okay, don't start dating law you you know they's ant like my dream like a drink. She sounds like in my m ball she put vocket your da sounds like angela you law you, yes, you you need to take a shot lay lords and I'm not. She don't need it to take, you know, Chris Browns, all these girls ain't more. You got to make shot the sertain wash my hands, take a big mesa. I can't move, but Mr Goodback. You know about Jake friends, Yes, I heard about it. I'm looking at how scared are you right now? Listening too much like la? You know you don't. You don't listen, man, that's this is just the big on me for real. Mr Comy more Nas just shout at you out. Yeah you're gonna play that for these two right now. Like I don't know why I looked at you like all right, trying to hear your shine, trying to nas just shot at you all to me, how was that that was? That was big? That was that was big? Right then? You anything, he's watching your videos. I knew he's following me. Might know you know he's following you yet that that's the crazy ship right now, Jake prison and they can follow you like like like that's your support because we have to follow a bunch of people because we don't. Gays don't Nas don't laugh at everything. We know he comes from. You know what I'm saying, it's hard fight to make you laugh at certain people don't think everything. No, he's not, he's who you know, Yeah, every give me laugh, tell you something, yea. If a person is too serious four seven year, it's something about him. But because real Ginsters laugh, I noticed that, like like real Gatesters laugh, they party. They have fundy open doors for ladies. The Goddess guys not you know, I'm not some guys that act like that and this that, But for those part, real real people are respectful, like I come from everybody. I don't know if if Jacob Co sign this, but I come from arab When the lady, I think Buster said this the other day, when a lady walked through the projects, we used to carry her back weed, stop selling drops. No, that's all right, that's all right. It's legal to respect when absolutely I wouldn't ever known fun Is it easy? Sore? On that earlier? The Maga stallionship, how do how do you actually feel about about that? You know that's a progress, that's that's in the work right um and uh, it's a it's in a play. It's right now where I can see the end be happening in properly where I want, you know what I mean? From where it started fifteen or one, the homie really took the risks and grind real hard to what it was on the bill hard. Where she is today, you know what I mean? And on the other side, I understand her recent after jay Z and you know, all the people too, like Spain, want try something. I'm a lord to know about it. You know you got yeah, but like I understand how position with what happened at you know, me and the home, they had the opportunity to sit across the table from one another, like we all right now. And he's a scout and I'm a childer crop and I'm talking about jay z okay like he's a Scott, I'm a gyman, and he and I, you know what I mean, we see that we saw out of eye with that situation in spite of you know, all the workers you know, putting that different ship, that false ship, you know what I mean. And then the homer was able to see it at the tape and be like mine, it's beautiful. So I'm expecting the end to be beautiful. I think the end is gonna be beautiful. I think the end is gonna beautiful because the reason why would be thank you to her shot very fast. Let's take it on, then take it with the programs shouting up. The junior tells what be thinking of something that I ain't gonna lie home and want to age two? I got you some late everyone, yo, d Yeah, that's the homely too. Yeah, it's goddamn it. Man, Actually, rebody even spect Jake has it every man of time with yours. Don't like me the fett I don't like no about that came at me too. I don't like, I'm gonna tell you something and just I swear to God, my wife is right there. This is one million percent story, true story. I feel like taking up my fucking shoes. I don't even think itllegal. When the what I don't want to say his name because that you didn't say his name. The rainbow head kid I've seen shot at the actual dude that's supposed to be a street that that is the street guy from me. We see each other in the airport and the only thing I can plain to him I said, I said, Yo, why do you let the little homie do certain things? Yeah? And he said yo, over room. And I swear to God, I said, you let him disrespect Jane Prince m. I didn't like that, yeah, and he said I didn't either. Yeah. What's let me know that Shoddy was actually well a weird yeah of what was happening, but he didn't have controlled caught up in the me he got caught up in. Because I swear to God, that's that's like. And you know me and you know each other. But I showed you that respect for my far like I was, like, I didn't like that, but you know, and he admitted it too though. You know what that says to me in spite of and it's good that he may have admitted it, for what that says to me from a perspective is he never was you know who he claimed to be. You know what I mean? And that's just thee and the other. I know what I mean. He shouted, Okay, you know what I mean. He like, I think he was caught off and say the truth because how he admitted it to me. When I said that, I said, yo, listen, everybody like the s M D thing. I said that was the wrong, like thedest homies that they pooled it. And he looked at me and said, yo, man, and he looked that's why I do respect to me. He put his heart down, like because I felt like he felt me. Now I get that, get that, but we don't drink chimp. Yes, take that. I took a shot larger, so keep it real, keep it real. Thinking for him to ever embrace that, you allow that to become what it became from him embracing that uh, you know that just wasn't no thorough ship obvious like I never would have embraced that. That wouldn't qualified and heard me be DEVI was advocated. I don't think he embraced it. I think it happened already and I think he just was like I'm here like once. It's still kind of wrong because he could have corrected it, because what I toold to him. He immediately and I said, he immediately said right nor because you know he come up to me, quote blood money, he's quote my lyrics for my ship, saying, Yo, how much I look up to you? So I'm saying I respect with you other doing. Now, the one thing I don't respect was the homie. Like the homie. And he admitted it right there to me. And this is the gamester of the He said, you know what, norm me, I should have corrected that. That's being a man. That's a man to me. That That's what I'm trying to say. I got older him though, Yeah, he admitted. He admitted that, he admitted to admitted it. And the work the airport also he embraced it. You ain't no, ain't no like skating around that ship. He never could have became when he became without him embracing Now, he not happy that that he embraced it, and if he had another opportunity, he would do something different. I believe so. But he embraced that ship. I believe so. I don't think he embraced it. Let me just beat that was advocate. I don't think he embraced it. I didn't think he went so far that. I mean, once it was done, and this is where I am agreeing with you, once it was done, he should have said your listen, bro and calmed it down. And the fact that he didn't do it, that's his mistake. That's his mistamic. Because me personally, if my little man, if my little man does something, I don't agree with. You know what I'm saying. But what happened is I get it. I get it. Like they were making money, they would do him, and they just kept rolling with the process. And all of them all stop now looking at the benefits. But I looked at that man. That was my only complaint. And I'm not full the South, I'm not like but my respect you, yeah, that was my only game played to I didn't say anything about him, just like anybody beloved y'all or anybody. I said, Yo, that part right, The homie never deserved that, the homies family never deserved that. And he looked, I kill you. I gotta told the story, yever. Yeah, and I can see the little you have for him. I want to love I have for you, well if you had, if you had love for me, or what I'm saying. Okay, I'm listening here, crazy, No, I don't think so. Okay, because we agreed to this and agree to disagree, then okay, you some men say it's impossible for him to become who he became without him embracing it. Okay, No, no, Now if you want to say he embraced it and eighty five and sin eighty five per cent, you want to put a percentage on the look, Okay, this is what I think. So what I think now, I'm totally the outside of looking at what I think happened was that was something that the dude did on his own. And then he's just like, damn, I gotta ride with him, like that's what I think. But I could be wrong. Don't work like that in real life. Now you know why I could Jake st Let me keep you real with you let me you could. Your house is so put together, this is real ship. Your house is so put together. You might look at another house. Let's say they're not together because your ship is sold together. Everyone's house it's not together. I agree with that. But still right and wrong, and I agree with that. I mean, it don't matter, you know what I mean. But a lot like yeah, you know what I mean. Right is right and wrong and wrong and true its true. False is false, you know what I mean. The President, you know what I mean? That right like he could be forgiven, you know what I mean, and he he's standing on you know what he's standing on. He didn't turn into rack. But so I understand you know what I mean, and the love you have for him. But by the same token that snitch, that moster, that that dude grew into, he laid the foundation to help be all that. And did you did you know off top he was gonna be coming to snitch all the time? You know what I mean? It was like shit, I didn't have to think. You saw that ship along time, you know what I mean. Like you can see under dress, right, you can see under dress who who got you know what I mean? Who hanging? Who swinging. Who got to split? You know what I mean? I saw the split immediately. I'm trying to know what I'm saying. How about you come out of the door? You from New York? From New York? Did you see that coming? I didn't see it, But at the same time, I feel its basically they should have kept entertainment and business separate. I knew was a good entertainer and he was entertaining great on the ground. He was great entertainment, So I didn't know it's gonna go that far. When you went that fall, I was like, oh, it's about to get bad because he's not ready to do none at that time. So now you dream that you're a journalist, have you ever seen this type of case? I mean, I'm surprised that he's still being embraced by some people, as this generation ain't ain't about and it's an international generation, and there's so many let me just say, it's like a president. I apologize, but there's so many people. There's so many people that relating to other people fucking their baby mombs. There's so many people to other people related to you know, them, setting them up and things like that. And I actually agree with that, but not when you say you were part of the street life. Once you say your part of the stream, like you you agree, you agree to that because you're sucking the baby bombs too. So I'm sorry. I don't need that with trop for just anything for attention, anything to attention. You know what. The truth of the matter is, like characters who you are nobody looking. He's squat when he can you don't stand up like me up, I can put that he's a squatter. Okay, I'm just telling y'all the truth. The man squatter. You know, we don't seeing squatter, But don't stand up like me. And and just let it hang and just let it flow. You know what I mean. He's squat, so you know what I mean. That's who he is in pride. Goddamn y'all can wait home. And I'm right there shout you up, yo. I can't tell you I was so excited for this interview with you and and and also take mrical mind the door mother plugging Julian Beverly. But I can't lie when I think about so. I thought about me. But then when I google and I've seen it and I seen elfy one shares the same love for you as me at least they said, yeah, I'm sucking on it, bro, Like I'm really on it, bro, I'm really honest. I really love what you represent for your book. Yeah, and you're like a one of one man, like you're really all you know. The beauty of about that book was like a lot of people, a lot of you know, the book gang is a different game, and it reminded me of when I came in the music industry. You know, they offered me fifteen to send books. YOI you know what I mean, your sorry, like to this loan, I mean, and done this track rocking and laid out all this ship and they're like, oh, it's so the beauty of the end and of that story is you know, Mr Com we've done it independently, you know what I mean. We put a good team together, Julie, you know what I mean, was right there and we was able to kick ass self publishing, you know what I mean, and done a hundred thousand with no problem, and then all of those just like in the music game that didn't believe around came back around. You know what I mean, take a shot, you guys, self published, self publishing. What I'm saying for future books. I'm sure, like you said, they came back around. So y'are telling me we gotta set up the book lab for hip hop's Charlemagne and Cameron just got some ship. That's something bad idea. They just announced some ship. Okay, y'all be to wrap a lot of books book because you know I'm you know, I'm writing a book. You know what my book is called Reading is overrated? Its just pictures. People will buy that. It's not a paragraph. Look just looking about pictures and things. A foul person. I'm sorry, I'm gonna have like two citizens. It's gonna be like you gotta twitty. You gotta squitch your eyes. How coming the older you get, you gotta squitch your eyes in this book. Agent told me that. He said, it's all about the title. If you got a good title, people will buy. It. Doesn't matter the reason is overrated. They might read it, they just buy. I don't think reading is overrated. I'm sorry. This is just mean to get people to buy my book. Like like I'm reading some ship change my life? What did you change your life? This book called Thinking grow rich? Yo? I love that book. Waits from the whole series that is what the not thinking grow rich? But the whole series has a whole series. I bought that ship afterwards. Yeah, so I've never seen you this truth to do that? Now? The truth? What is that? Thinking? Those grows rich? It's not and it's real. It's not some dude perspective. He studies successful people. Yeah, real ship that you have, thank you, that should do to you. Okay, thinking grows rich, thinking grow rich? All right, now it's a competitive though. That's a great ship. That's great. I'm gonna write this. I've never seen him like, it's great. Hands turned black, I've never seen that's a great all of this ship. You got Beijing, don't big man, got j you'll call us our brother's came in listen. I don't know. I'm like, so something's going on. I'm don't got it, man, I don't got a mazing and obviously neither the years. Obviously you are kid sage. You look good. You have Jesus. I started selling pepper and I went to Santa Claus every month. League. Oh my god, this is this is dope. I love this man. No, I ain't gonna I learned someone. Are we popping into the bottom of loyalty. I'm not gonna that's a map. It's my first time time space stage. Yeah, come to get another. Get enough ship, go on man, larger ship to go on. I'm not bet man. You might be changed in the world. That's it. That's just listen ship man. That's saying, come on, you don't wipe. You gotta drink everything, snig get your own rich, drinking it over because it's gonna make it. Tell some truth. We're a cup back, you know what, need a different cup. I'm so proud of him. Wife, don't all so Julia and Beverly. Yes, what was your most awkward interview you ever did? Oh? Like, I don't want to smoke crack in front of you. Okay, I'm an interview something crack anyway, I know I don't think so. But definitely it's not dirty because it's way in Florida. I don't want Hey, man, you'll figure it out. Just describe the situation. Just how the song who by This Ship is so good. I dropped the whole goddamn about you. I thought I was going to get out of answering that question. There was a there was a DJ who kind of kind of just look at me. There was a there was a DJ that I went to interview. Well, I was going to interview him the lobby at this hotel and he said, no, we'll do it in my room. I just met him like five s whenever. Yeah, we get to the room and you know, that's how we want to see stuff, you know. He flipped the lights off and kind of went for the who and I was like, what just happened? So for you? So when you and DJ drive I left hand right, we're dropped me and draw hard. Good. But it was awkward interview. Yeah, the interview didn't have him and he chase me down the room, like remember the room number, you're gonna be back, here's the key's this is a moment. Yeah, anybody a woman that it would be two hundred guys and five females, so you know, you'd be getting a lot of literals. What they like he said it was it was great for the females because you'd be just you'd be feeling like a supermodel, like get a lot of attention. But that was a little That was the most that I can think of. I'm sure there's been others, and we don't know this DJ name correct. Is he still DJ say he's big show fantastic and we got sucking Jake Prince on sucking drink Champs. I really, I really, you know, I don't want to keep reading hereating myself, but I really want to thank you so much because you have one of the most interesting, most real stories in hip hop. And I patted myself out of you because you don't have a bit gass moment. You don't have a moment where you know what he folded right here or he did some ship right here. So me personally, I always look up to you like that, like you know what I'm saying, because I took losses in life, just not a hip hop. I ain't got no rap nigger in the world to say they beat me in anything. I don't ain't no ceo losses just out of hire. Yeah, beautiful, you're feeling and I've had it most of my ship. I don't want to say some of it. I don't. I'm gonna give you more than that. Most of them is because if Jay Prince could do it, and he could last thirty years and hip hop andrew All Brown's ghosts for last because you know, everybody called this thing, but I've hadded my feet after you because it was something. It was something that Mike Geronimore said right that. Actually we just had Mike Geronomore here, great, and that actually bothered me. The only part that bothered me was he said, the more successful he got, the more that people try to take him away from his success, and only my only evil bottle from that. Then did he say like that? I thought he did take him away from his people's pointed the flush, the flush right there. But this is not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is the more successful you come, the more rules you make. Yeah, and you gotta know that, or maybe you think you may. No, I don't know, yo, bro. I went to Impact Convention with three buses, eight nickers on each. Excuse me, eighty young days. Excuse me, thirty young days. I went to Impact Convention in Los Vegas. Excuse me, read the faduct. Remember the Impact conventions, and I don't remember. They just swarmed us that since the next event I ever have, I'm bringing my whole projects because I really can control my projects. A lot of rappers can't, and I broke them all out. So the further I got in life, I didn't follow rules. I made the rules beautiful God bless so so Mike Gus. The only thing I love you, Mike Genus. The only thing I didn't When he said the further he got, he said, they didn't try to keep him away from his people. And I didn't catch it during the end of You, but after I watched it back, I said, damn bro. Hopefully he knows that being rebellious is a part of our culture. But what did he do though? No, he said, he said, no, this is what he said. He said, the further that he got in life, the more that people wanted to take him away from his people. And I understood that's true, but I don't think that's the way he said. No, he did say, I think he was talking about money changing people. That's what he was really. Okay, that's a different part, but it's a different part. But at one point he looked at Flush and that's when he started to tear up, and he said, he said, yo, because they wanted me not to hang with him. And I was just like, damn bro, because I've never changed in twenty years. And then f and you can call me a piece of ship rap whatever, as you don't have to saying, but I've been the same god since you met me, and in fact, I might have enforced more because it's like fucking I love being around people. I don't have a house to this day becaus I love being in condos. I want to speak to Larry. I want to speak to the Larry that goes downstairs to the gym and goes to bottom water with water from the founton, like, Larry, you know you're rich. Evening else stands to the gym boy from Larry, like Larry, come here, Larry. That's who I am in life. I like to interact with people. So when I had a eight what's that ship called eight acres ship, I hated myself. I literally couldn't see people. I was like, that's not who I am. You. I didn't let it. I just have all the ship you have. I got a thousand, but I love that ship. I'll take what I do though, here's the power of the land. Like it's like you've been going to meditate and come up with creative ship and come back to the hood. I'm not in the hood, Thomas, like I have to come down, said I'd rather like I'd rather interact with others, all right, but always good right. What they tried to do to me right HPD Houston Police Department pull me over and try to get me to this on the hood, right, like, why don't you stop doing this? Why don't you all this sweet ship right and just go and and and live your life and luxury and believes you know what I told him, I rather be dead, really be dead, then this on my little ones. That's somebody I don't want to Yeah, that's exactly that's what you want. A more prapic would say, you know him my friend. Oh yeah, you know what I mean. So that's one of my black tenders. Yeah, come on right, come over it. So that's that's one of my old zas. And that's the way I feel about this ship. When that adn't telling me right now, you gotta Larry Hoover number or not. I know you listen, run most solid. I can't live. I feel like everybody in the world. No, do you feel like everybody in the world uses? No, I don't. I don't allow myself to be used. I'm too short off to be used, too sore to short. Yeah, so I don't. I don't allow weak ship too like fall on me and I react. I like distinguish it immediately, you know what I mean. Get that ship away from me, you know what I mean. But when it's solid, all ride, damn you got you gotta shot out on loyalty. That's a space, lawyer. Now you want some more space, come on, God damn it. And then we go just the shot. This is a shot. We do want the shot, some lawyerty doing a champagne. He doing champagne. Don't champagne, you got damn Now it's loyalty champagne. Yeah, lord of champagne. At way, this is ship. It's the brand you got and want to put things up. This is the shot. He's gotta show. You can't buy a right and you guys take all right, this is my shot. This is loyalty. They can't buy loyal to your respect? Well yeah, no, no, none, none. You actually accomplished everything why standard game and not only stay in this game. But I could look at you and tell you still love this game like you love it? Why? You know? You know I am who I am, You know what I mean, And I don't have to like you know. That's that's who I was created to be right. So like once again, everybody got a chance and the choice every day, the choices they made determine your destination. Right, My choice is gonna real deep with with the essence of what makes me tap, you know what I mean, and that that I stand on, that that makes me take that's that I'm willing to die for and everybody that's a choice. So that's what makes me who I am, That's what makes me move Accordingly, it's gonna make me happy, you know what I mean, bring me joys. So I wouldn't have it no other way. So, so as an artist in distress, like when the artist comes to you and say, man, I think mab a deal ain't good or yo, I need help the home. Yeah, Is that something that you gravitate to because you know you can help them suit a lawyer, Yeah, because it's that's that's that's how I feel. I feel like you're the guy that people come to when they like it funked up and you fix them, you know what I mean, fixing up a rock. Fix I'm sorry, I make I make your words. I'm sorry. You know, we got to analyze ship where people is concerned, you know, because the reality is a lot of times with a disadvantage. I always say, you know, a motherfuckerl be on a Harley Davidson and we're being a pair of Nikes, and they'd be like, that's let's race, right, and you know they're gonna win a motherfucking race on Ali Davis and because generations of those people that taught them and gave my head start in the game this music and the ship, right, so we have to figure out a way to like balance the scale. And one of my methods of balancing and the scale was balancing and where my strength was concerned, and my strength was in a lot of motherfucking places, right, So you balance that ship and you balance it with finesse. You know, you don't balance it sloppy. You balance it with finesse to make the scale be even. Because they got edge. You know when your great grandfather your grandfather and gave you game on how to funk us, you know what I mean. Then that's edge. So we have to have that same game and put it on the other side or the scale to balance that ship off. That one can't complaint. Well, this show was on Revote TV, but we got to Revote TV. Box was facing something called a discrimination loss, right, like he didn't have enough white people? Yeah, did you ever face anything like that? Like, well, most definitely get out throughout my whole journey, you know what I mean, discrimination took place, and uh, absolutely poor for knowing how to deal with that ship and bring on players that compliment his movement. You know what I mean, because you know a lot of people submit, you know, Amitt, you know who was saying it best right, and this might be like a little vote or whatnot, but who will say when when they try to stick a dick in your ass and you move your ass getting revenge, I'm hurt. It's like he said, you try to put a dick in your ass to the movie. Yeah, they said you were Revell, you know what I mean that, But that's like real ship, right, that's for like homeless like puff you and wasn't not to stand up you know with rip vote against rip vote, whatever the funk it might be. You know what I mean. I liked that kind of ship. Got them, got them. Let's also make noise because he said it earlier. He said that um Lobby Hoover should be coming home. And I'm gonna be honest, this is me from the outside looking in, and now I there's not a person in Chicago. I don't know one of my black family members or my Puerto Rican family member. So I'm investing in Chicago, and I'm gonna tray you something. Well, fans might kill me for this. When Larry Hoover was home, Chicago was peace. When the old Jez was home, it was for peace. There's something that happened with the police structure that funked up Chicago. Because I had never seen Chicago this violence. I used to actually go to Chicago and just walk through every area. I never the one, you know, the one thing they told me, you'll put your pants leg down because I had my hair's leg go long to the left and it was like, you put your pants leg down here, And I was like what And that's by design though, you know by design too. They took the o G s out here, took all our political prisoners, you know, the past that they're strong because they understood that we had a certain amount of respect for him and that they could be somewhere to some saviors organizing figures out, you know what I mean. So it's it's no mistake as you think that's the reason why. And and you know, God bless me, you think the reason why the Texas is not out of line like that, it's like because they have U as a structure, Like everyone has that ability to say, you know what, look what Jay did, Like he came from here and he's here now, and you think that I know for a fact that's the way. So you know, I'm I'm relevant, I'm there, you know what I mean, be a community since in my community, you know what I mean. So I'm not I'm not one of those guys that made it and say the place I made it from and abandon it, you know what I mean. That make a difference, make a difference when you when you can walk those streets like like a lot of people got more money than me, but they don't have to respect I have. They don't have money and they don't have a largy that the homies have. So that means something to mean, you know, I mean a lot of times it may not mean something to the individual, but that ship is like meaningful to me, and it's important for us to not make it and abandon and not give back to the generation behind us. Then we turn around and ask for respect or criticize those that's coming behind us without blazing the trail, are saying it's the way you go. You know what I mean? That ship is meaningful, and uh, I believe Hoover is one of those people. I'm not gonna lie. I love the man who in my mind, man Who, because I'm gonna tell you something. I went to Chicago. I went to this place called Sandy's in Compete Green because I wanted, you know, so good times, bro, And I don't know if y'all ever so good time forty three. I'm like, I'm liked that line hanging from up hook was out a definitely out of know the hook to this, to this, to the intro of them to show you so good times. They I don't even remember that good So so now that's the time. I'm with my Spanish family because I'm black, and put the rigo his family and I'm like, yo, who got who the chicken? Right now? They just put their head down because they're just looking like, man, we got to go to the black side. This is my Puerto Rican side. I'm like, they're looking like we can't tell noory no. So I'm like, so, where's the Chicken Spot, Like y'all Wikipedi Green, I'm highing you mean jaj I spent Jack James from me. You know my porter we can fan at the time. They they're kind of like worried, but I kind of got the past because of who I am. But so I went and I went to Sammy's and I could just remember every black dude came. How do they fucking they see me? And they came out and then the police try to come and search me because like I forget a kind of car I had, So the police kind of coming search me, and I kill you not. Everybody from the whole project said you could search everybody, and I said it's then I was like, I was like, I'm clean. It was like fu and to the police and I said, your Chico isn't different. Yeah, late, you know, that was the last place al Capone was still operating. I don't want to get into that two months, but they're still places I go where the Air V and B they're like news the Boone House. I'm like what and they were like this back entrance. Yeah yeah, real Capone. I don't know about him, but who will has struggles? Who? You know what? I mean, and you know what I mean, we would do shows twenty five dollars dollard. You know what I mean. We showed up with no problem with structured and you know he was I don't we knew him just in jail. Well, I didn't know him when I'm not old enough to know when he was okay, but I met him there and uh wise, man, you know what I mean. A man that make a difference for all of us today. Do you watch the shot? The shot? The shot? I never saw that, and I shot because it's a character in the shot. Yeah, this nigga seals by himself. Dudes, come and see him, bring him a briefcase for the money, bring him a kick, yeah, and a dude. You know obviously you don't understand what happened after that, man, But every time I watched this, this character, yeah, I swear at his lar and it's the shots called the shot. So so like there's some real life ship right like one are the home is by the name Acrushia. Friend of mine just got home from prison, federal prison, came home on the first step back. And you know, of course Trump was the one that released these guys on the first step back. We've been in Trump of shore. I mean, whatever it is it is, he done what he's done. Right, So this is a brother de then came home. That's feeding the homeless. It's like on a on a positive motherfucking journey of doing good deeds in the community. He wouldn't have that opportunity if it wasn't for the first step back, if it wasn't for you know, I hate to say Trump done the ship, but he done this ship. You know what I mean. You're happy, like whatever it is, it hap to be what it is. And Julie, you don't like that, but that's okay, don't worry about it, right because I don't think. I don't know who started it, but I know you know who puts the button on the ship down. But here's like the real moral or the story. The brother is here and making moves opposite from the moves that he made years ago. He had a second chance, and he's capitalizing and being an asset to the community. Yeah, so I view that as an asset. Right. So so when I hear you know, anybody, whether it be Democrats, are Republicans, saying that these brothers don't deserve another chance at life, you know what I mean almost, Yeah, you know what I mean, Like they want to just stump their neck till they die. Then you got to ask you this. Yeah, I don't respect that ship. Boy, it's coming out after that. Let me let me answer that, you know what I mean, because this is important, right, I'm down, I'm like, I'm a republicrack. Let me see that whatever you want to public? Republican And what do that mean to me? You know what I mean? Is the motherfucker that's on the right side. I mean, who we ever on the right side and track well where my home is? That's abundance locked up forgot about you know what I mean? They don't give a funk about and giving them all that extra too much time. Who ever have a heart for them, I may ride with them, say, and I'm gonna chake the right I ride with him. I think who is that gonna be? We don't let me see the first stup acts starts build builds on the Obama started, who don't make sure that God is in places? The first ef you say your Obama? What she wanted the reference to the actor that let people out of the Probama started that she's saying and he started, and King Kardashian pushed it on Trump. And that's the reason why you didn't let that just recn come out. You know, I'm just a Republican whoever with my people, I'm ship saddle up, saddle goddamn fun, Donald Trump. It's so great. It's so great were white say that. I'm not saying that. I'm not saying like a bell that you're white. But it's great because you see the Dave Chappelle's get But Dave Chapelle is like, why are these guys broke for Donald Trump? I think so, but it's so great to feel better about life. I don't know how anyone can just watch him talk for ten minutes because you don't like that. I don't know. He just he just says the same thing over and over again with no suthing. I'm gonna be honest. I'm gonna be honest. And I don't really want to say this, but other than him being racist, he is a gangster. He's just he's just waiting. Was here rand it on Queens. Ever, lame that on Quakes bro won Queens. There's not way you're gonna be a racist. I grew up with Russians, Haitians, Cubans, colors moving and wrestlers like warres. So you say Trumps, no, he's playing a row. If he's really from Queens, playing a row, there's no way. But it's like black women. You know he had a black woman. It right, Come on, y'all tell him. Y'all don't know Trump, and don't tell me Trump has been to press out. I mean no, Trump in head black puts it on. But has he been a fresh album? No? No, no, I've been You've been a trust tell me this stuff. Do you think a man could be a racist being with a black woman and grabbing, grabbing fussy, Yeah, because like like grabbing pussy is like definitely talking about going to white ship, going in and you're real well of the race, and so save your racist slave master w racist. I don't know, I'm I'm just I'm just saying, yeah, I don't know. I'm just saying, so many girls you go black, you don't go back. He got pinched the snoop Dog twenty years ago. Trumps out of hip hop. I want more, let's get let's listen. I ain't a lot race me make calling men ask about fault like yo, check hooses a black trumpets kicking right something. I don't know if y'all keep you really, I'm not really, but really, let me tell you who I met, who I respect. No, no, no Blaine Walks And just like no, no, I love her. She She has like the biggest and that's my angel, right, but she has the biggest set a nuts that I ever than any man I ever met Maxine Walks. So for all the homies, I won't to let y'all know she's a real Democratic. Yeah, she's just she's real because when no one was standing up for me, when the Fears was trying to kill me, Maxine Water stood up California down. How kind of about mller Harris. I'm gonna start with you. You know that your whole I don't know that next scene like no disrespect to tax show. Yes, yes, she's cast of gangst you know what I mean. But the fact of the matter is she, like the people that was there in Houston, wouldn't ride, but she heard the story, she understood it, and she stood up. You know what I mean. That's like against all arts what politicians are concerned, but most of them are faith you know what I mean? For one to embrace and take a stand in that ship that I was in. She standing identity? Did your boy back with dre chance We're gonna get This is a segment of our show. We just ask you a question. You just picked one of the two two options. You don't and you can skip some if you want, prefer you don't. But it's okay, yeah, you do whatever you want. So it's called quick time with slide Ready drum Are you ready? Let's go, Master po bird Man m hmm, Master p Nasa, jay z Sjae really deal Big Mike. Well, it did scar face the t I face. We're also jeezy Ross okay, jesu t Yeah, buying the Trump m hm you get this, homies out. Let me say this because you did them with two slippery individ a politician. I'm with who we are. We're gonna do right with my people. Goddam you know what I mean. I'm not gonna get caught up in the matrix. But if I had to pick right now, I mean you kind of is election kind of right before James Harden or DeShawn Watson. I don't know Watson. So you're going with Jackson damn who is Watson. How I should ride with the Rockets man, Okay, because he's Houston to it. That's cloth corner that all. Oh, it's me you would watching the hell? Yeah, all right? That is Tyson or Damn Tyson the Homer, right, I know, Mike Tyson. Uh it depends. Uh, God, damn boy, y'all putting m so I got damn I league gonna ride to man I leave. You can say both, know what I mean? Well, fucking both. Then I this one you can't see boom. This is very personal to you ghetto boys a ut kid, you know, to me, that's like, that's a no brainer, you know what I mean? Because I created ghetto Bots. Yeah. I'm so still amazed at the story of you actually putting together a ghetto boys project, putting it out at this saying you know what I like, it's like the first gangster Backstreet Boys. Yeah, but you know what it was? The difference was I was focused on another hustle and somebody else was dealing with one set of ghetto boards, and then I came in and emphasized my mind set on the other set of ghetto boards, which the other ghetto boys couldn't relate to So I'm like, y'all go, you know, I'm embraced the neo. What is that the other getting boys end up doing? Falling apart? I mean ship didn't it died from there. One of them got a murder case and went to jail, and uh, the others went different ways. This was my last question. Loyalty or respect, anything you gotta say, come out of the door. Um. When your name came up, basically and I was, I was young, Yeah, it was always a saying of someone with the flies on the can't land in certain people's hood without checking in. Yeah, so I think checking in not no flies on, but check basically, just if he was a rapp or use anybody, you couldn't just come to anybody's hood. Yeah, So I just want to know if any made explain You can explain more about that light. Yeah, I can explain that. Uh. The j Prince, now I was different than the Jake Prince and the twenties. When I was twenty something, thirties facts, and it was the thing, right, I was dealing with a different challenge, you know. Back when I started, I was dealing with a situation where New York DJ's was in my city monopolizing the radio station, you know what I mean. I had to deal with that ship, right, and that's just the way it was. I was like like that, So you know what I had to do was and I respected Hustle because they was representing and felt like nothing but New York should be played in Houston, you know, That's it. Everything else was country and wasn't qualified. So I had to get creative. I had to like figure out how to change that ship because I feel like we deserved a chance. Motherfucker's didn't like us, then, Okay, I knew how to accept that, but give us a chance, and uh, ultimately they led to I had to run them out the city, you know what I mean, because they were real with New York. It's like, oh, this is all ship, this is what we represent, right, So I'm like, okay, I respect that, but you can't represent it here to day, you know what I mean. So so my mindset, you know what I mean, to change that ship around and to give us a chance and to play the trail for the Homers in Houston and the South to be heard came down to moving them out of the position of power. So therefore I had to fight like a whole movement of even coming to the city, you know what I mean. So I'm like, I'm gonna fight this whole motherfucker, right, you know what I mean, y'all are not gonna bear to send truths here to you know, infiftra infiltrate the camp and get you know what I mean, your well implemented on what you want to do. I'm gonna like shut this whole ship down until y'all give us a chance. So that happened back then, right, So we moved from back then up until right now. Right now. You know, I'm a different man. Ship has changed, you know, respect that's been given the South has been giving their chance and you know what I mean, they're doing their ship. So I no longer you know, when I was a child, I thought as a child, you know now you know what the man So I don't have to like, you know, infiltrate that same ship. So I don't I don't care who come in and see that's on there like like like it comes to I was no flies. One wasn't well you know that A lot of the guys, you know what I mean. Look, you know I want to I want where and they wanted me to know, you know what I mean, because it let me to sell you the reality of that ship. When I didn't know and you showed up, then it wasn't as invited as it was when I knew, because when I knew I was a allied, when you knew that, and I was able to like tell home is old, like he this and that. But when you just showed up with some strays, then people like, oh, that's that's food, and people did people didn't know Texas was about it about like ship was that's first or further, Let's just be clear. Every year in New York and to turn the ange degrees, people get killed his name place all year round. Absolutely, get over to get over all over the world. Get a boys, you know what I mean. A lot of people try to like they get confused about what's happening, but that should be solid all over man, you know what I mean. It's just a it's about who have the best structure in the situation is what makes the difference. And I'm a dude, have been government and took Houston, Texas twenty two, twenty three, twenty four years, maybe just to take it to twenties to stop them, maybe not beat it. I've never had a problem, but I've always hit one of his people, say y'allah. They always just had me then, like YO, were gonna go out of here more? You're going on the motherfucking what's my ship? What's my favorite? Rest of one? Papa? Tell me, my boy? We already that I've never had a problem. I never never felt I think people feel like when they check in, oh, they hollered the homeliness, and they're supposed to holler that they are soccer and that's corny because Mr, I don't know. You come on the left frack pupposed to hit young really supposed to hit me because we will. We take pride and taking kids. Who are you coming to the right cheesebird again? You went to the wrong cheese verus. That's all. You gotta fucking stomach game. Some talk talk to y'all that something wrong make you. I've never made you whack. And all these dudes out there, I've never felt foul at all, Like landing the same y'a. I'm here and they'd be like, all right, cool. Sometimes they see the person and sometimes they know I'm good. I pave my whole nape hoving me anyway. But I never felt bad about that, so I wanted to reiterate that, Yeah, that's what you're supposed to do when you go nothing. It's your choice. It's your choice, like big you, big you, the homing like we we see out of on a lot of ships. So but it once again, it's your choice. Some some dudes feel like they're Superman. Just come to town, you know pretty much. I mean like, I don't try to impose my wheel on one way at up, you know what I mean? You know, do what you do, what you do, taking that shout of you. Yeah, yeah, man, I can't. I can't really drink a whole water on other wine. A little bit, a little didn't killed that ship dn't killed him. Jude Beverly I got in. This story is the only story I hate it you ever, And it's never been growing up and drinks. To be honest, I say I never brought it up. It's gonna go up there with your condom story. It's a big story. Let's go the real story, your old old man, the old love you girl said that she's I ain't even remember she said she ate my ass. Did not like that it was my wife is here right now fourteen years if I wanted in my ass ain't trust me? She even know she's never so some girls and lie on me and you left her loss. That's gonna master p. Well that was the point of that story everything. I didn't like it. We did have a disclaimer with that saying hey, we can't really it was like, you know, I was told by other people that the stories well particular, but just some people cross reference to now he doesn't sun't do to be confessional little. Some people say I got back you. He just listen, he just closed. Listen. He has a curs, he has a conser story and he hates to telling ser story. But don't listen to Julia, You've always been that. I apologizes here confession. I did that because they really really wasn't true. And listen, I missed some ground. Do some crazy shit in my wife like we does a crazy But look, Jaference, this is a command. Do you live everly and fucking Jay Prince. This is one of my favorite moments. I every moment about this because it's real. We sat hands and kicked it. I've never seen a motherfucker eating lamb still be as cool to speak. You big that Shi was smooth said, I was like, you hate the rist. Fuck you asked so much. Why let's take a picture picture with Jay first and y'all tone then before. Okay, just so we did my ration.
