“If there was a play, I was always the tree at the back”
From a pretty shy Lebanese boy in a very anglo regional town, to a much loved successful local business owner and community figure, John Mansour gives us plenty to reflect on and smile about.
“I still remember my Mum kicking me up the backside to go and stand in front of people because I was nervous. I had no self confidence, but it was the best thing she ever taught me.”
John’s family business, that he has inherited, has been operating for over 70 years with shops in Forster, Taree and Port Macquarie as well as online. John shares about the effect his father's death had on his future, managing technology and online shopping, shutting down a shopfront after 50 years and sparkling high heels.
