DMV Spotlight on 3-29-26 shines a light on a Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home Celebration on the National Mall amid the Cherry Blossom Festival in the Nation's Capital. Guest, Lt Col Robert " Bob" Jeffrey shares his story of being shot down on his first combat mission in December of 1965 and held in North Vietnamese prisons for 2, 611 days. Lt Col Jeffrey explains the resilience needed to make it through each day and shared the code system used by fellow prisoners of war to communicate.
