Ben Stiller has had more home runs than misses at the box office across his career, more critically acclaimed projects than nitpicks material. But he's experienced the highs and lows that come after years of time and energy invested in a creative pursuit, and he's learned to accept whatever comes when some debuts. Telling The New York Times The Interview podcast, I'm going to point my life where I consider, do I really want to take this chance right now? How much do I care about what the quote unquote bad result is. You learn to care a little less about that the day after something doesn't do well or gets bad reviews. It's not like anything in your life has changed. It's just how you feel. You feel embarrassed or think, I want it to be the winner. But winning doesn't always happen. It usually doesn't, so you have to live with that. It's Ben Stiller. One of the projects that can certainly be considered a win is Severance, which just returned for his second season, streaming now on Apple TV Plus.
