Dear Young Rocker is a scripted non-fiction storytelling and audio memoir podcast featuring stories from women and trans musicians. In Season 4, launching September 14, 2022, series creator Chelsea Ursin hands the baton to Atlanta musician and photographer Nadia Marie, who will be telling her own story. Like Chelsea, Nadia started her creative life young and came of age in the early 200os. But Nadia had her life severely interrupted, and her inner life completely reset, when at 23 she was hit by a car while on her bike. As a result, she suffered severe amnesia that no one was able to understand or help guide her through. This season: A story of losing yourself, and putting the pieces back together.

DEAR YOUNG ROCKER is a scripted non-fiction storytelling and audio memoir podcast featuring stories from women, trans and non-binary musicians. In the new season, host/creator, Chelsea Ursin passes the mic to Atlanta based musician, Nadia Marie. Nadia will share the story of how music provided a path to regaining long-term memories that she’d once lost after a life-altering collision.
Previously, in seasons 1 and 2, Chelsea told her own story of finding an outlet for anxiety and her place in the world via falling in love with listening to and playing rock music. Along the way she writes letters of advice to her younger self on topics from mental health to relationships. In season 3, guest musicians such as Michelle Zauner (of Japanese Breakfast), Anjimile and Mia Berrin (Pom Pom Squad) were invited to tell their stories and write to their own younger selves.
