Well. Yesterday in Breaking at eight, we brought you the harrowing story of Cyril Twos, who was an elderly man currently in hospital. He's desperate to get out. He's been waiting since January for help from the federal government through It's my Age Care Home package, but like sixty eight to seventy thousand other people still been waiting to get genuine assistance. It was a story that was picked up by all the local TV channels, and when we broke the story yesterday as part of Breaking at eight, we were absolutely inundated with texts with people devastated to hear that mister Twos was considering going down the path of ending his life through the voluntary assisted dying laws. We have mister Two's on the line now. Mister Two's, good morning and lovely to be chatting to you again. It's David here, after the chat that we had over the weekend on Saturday. David, what sort of response have you had since the story broke? Mister two has.

Been undated with calls from people commending and telling me that the thing I'm doing is absolutely wonderful. It may not benefit me, David, it will benefit the next person. Down the line. It's about timeless. Government got to look at what is happening in our health system. It is just ridiculous. Some number of people that are suffering because of finance, and it's not right. It really isn't they pay their tactics. All the years they work, they come to an old age and nothing is done. Unfortunately, they put it into sports or something else that is not really necessary. Help is the biggest problem in this country and it's about time the government, if they want to be re elected, they've got to do something and do it fast.

David certainly absolutely has anyone from the government contacted Youse into story break, mister T's they have they.

No, No, no, no at all, dam none at all. Please call me, Cyril. That's mister Jesus.

Now I'll keep calling you, mister Te's.

Thank you.

I can't believe no one's spoken to you though.

No, I have not spoken to anybody from government at all. The meals on meals on wills, the home care packages have been trying to convince me that I can have palliative care if I go home. They assured me that there will be plenty of care available. It's funny how all this money has suddenly become available. You just stand up for your rights and all of a sudden there's money pouring out from everywhere. But as I said, it's too late for me, Davy. I'm only forty two kilos. I've lost a lot of way. I've been suffering this since twenty nineteen. Fortunately there's nothing where the doctors can do to help because it's all part of the astrogenica injection I had back in twenty nineteen when.

You had the heart reaction after that, are you still are you still totally committed? They used to going down the eath in asia path because we don't want to see you.

Yes, I am. Yeah. Look, unfortunately, my life is just laying in this bed at the moment. I can't walk from here three meters to the door without being out of breath or hanging on to the door for the next breath, And to me, that's not life. Unfortunately, because of the heart problem, it's not pumping any fluid from the lungs, and the lungs will now just keep filling with fluid that obviously you cannot breathe, so they will not drain it. Again. It's too dangerous if I go on the table to have it drain, I may not come off the table, so it's catch strikes two situation, David.

Well, as you said though when we spoke, mister two, is the fact that you have spoken out at what regrettably does look like your very much your order years is something that will hopefully help other people in a similar situation.

I hope it does. I really do, because you know, we should not have to suffer like we're suffering now. I would not wish this on my worst enemy, because it's not nice. It's not nice to do. No, but the government don't care. An enjoy a three million million dollar home and he doesn't care.

Yeah, well, I think that's what a lot of people were saying yesterday when the contact us is after you were so brave to stories. We'll stay in touch on this. Mister Two's lovely to chat to you again.

I lovely to that to you or the very best, God best by, bye bye.

He speaks magnificently, doesn't he. He's got always marveled. Yeah, completely hard to argue with it. It's harrowing, but it's awful. He's set in his mind, isn't he. He knows what?

Yeah?

No, one has any right to argue with him. David Pemberthy and Will Goodings six to nine five Double a Breakfast
