Cheeto, I've been watching all of your stuff this week. You've seen very very gracious to be in this position. How soon or how recently did you start to make that idea that at some point you could be champion or fighting for a belt start to feel like reality.
I mean, man, they announced it's far in November, so it's been a long time pretty much working for is a big camps. But I feel like the last few weeks you wake up and you're like, holy shit, it's about to happen. And it's big, man, it's big. It's something I work my whole entire life. I didn't have the most easiest path, especially where it came from. They don't have the craziest background on any martial art. But I just wanted bad. I just wanted bad, and I want this my whole life. It's been ten years trying to get here, and Saturday night, I'm not gonna just let it go.
When you guys fought together in Boston, did you think, Okay, this is what's gonna get my championship opportunity.
I thought it was a big chance. I thought myself, I need to secure a win. That doesn't matter how it is. And I was supposed to as a hood of first he pulled out and I was like, I don't care who it is. In the in the Young fight, I was more impressed about with Jan becoming a wrestler. Again, I never wrestled. In the in he took him down, Yeah, but he never wrestles. He always fights, Yeah, and he kind of like Also the friend that Jane is like three feet tall. That frame is hard to fight a total guy like that. I can match his range. I'm with allio. I mean, great wrestler, you know, that great jujitsu, but the guys can have a big fight. I mean, you don't just throw it right hand like open face, just like we're not in the streets. Yeah, he's just very low level of striking. That's where I can match him or anyone in the division, I say, with anybody.
That's that's where he believes. That's where many believe the fight is going to be determined. If you can stay with him in the stand up, you have an opportunity. But if he can, then sharl Maalley will do what Sheanlon Malley has done before. The first time you guys fought, I fought on the same card, I remember watching in the back and the fight's going on and it's kind of playing. You know, you're not you had you haven't gotten started yet, because traditionally that's what you do.
It takes your time to build into the fight.
