Born in Harlem, Mr. Welters is a graduate of Manhattanville College in Harrison, New York and New York University School of Law. In 1989, Mr. Welters founded AmeriChoice Corporation which provided health services to Medicaid patients and was later acquired by United Health Group. Mr. Welter’s BlackIvy Group develops infrastructure companies in Ghana, Kenya and Tanzania.

 

In this episode, Mr. Welters and Dr. Montgomery Rice will discuss his road to successful entrepreneurship, his approach to leadership, and giving back to others.
