View descriptionShare

Did you know that Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin small, but might workforce, mobilizes across the state during June Dairy Month to help local dairy farms and their supporters share the story of today's modern dairy operation.  Liza Schlintz, a dairy farmer herself and the Farmer Relations Manager at DFW, shares some facts you may not be aware of.

      • DFW supports and promotes all dairy farmers and dairy farms, regardless of size, structure, or farming practice.
      • The diversity of Wisconsin’s dairy industry is our greatest asset.
      • Each farm has a right to decide what methods, structure and size are right for their specific situation.
      • DFW works to support and promote various dairy farms of all shapes, sizes, and focus areas.
      • 95% of Wisconsin’s dairy farms are family owned.

Schlintz also points out how DFW works to unify the dairy industry.

      • Staying united and positive as a single dairy community shares a consistent message with consumers that farmers are collectively focused on caring for land, communities, and families above that of individual choices and preferences.
      • DFW supports local, county-led Dairy Promotions groups and individual farmers with resources and materials to host tours and other dairy activities in their communities.  Find details at https://www.wisconsindairy.org/Promote-Dairy/Resources
