The Tampa Bay Lightning remained perfect on home ice Thursday night, defeating the Winnipeg Jets 6-4 to extend their home winning streak to six games and tie a franchise record to start a season. On today's Daily Strike, Steve Versnick breaks down an eventful Halloween Night victory that featured offense throughout the lineup and another power-play goal from the surging Bolts.

The Lightning jumped on Winnipeg early and built a commanding 5-1 lead through two periods behind goals from Brayden Point, Conor Geekie, John Carlson, and Brandon Hagel. Tampa Bay's power play stayed hot as the club scored with the man advantage for the fifth consecutive game.

The Jets made things interesting in the third period, scoring three times to cut the deficit to one, but the Lightning answered with an empty-net goal from Pontus Holmberg to secure the win. Holmberg finished with a career-best four-point night, recording a goal and three assists in one of the best performances of his young season.
