The Tampa Bay Lightning are riding high after a commanding 6-2 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights and now turn their attention to another Western Conference heavyweight. On today's Daily Strike, Steve Versnick breaks down the Bolts' impressive start to their road trip and looks ahead to Friday night's showdown with the Colorado Avalanche.

The Lightning have now won seven of their last eight games and continue to get contributions throughout the lineup. Brandon Hagel opened the scoring against Vegas, while John Carlson delivered a key response goal less than a minute after the Golden Knights had tied the game.

Meanwhile, captain Victor Hedman continues to find his offensive rhythm, scoring twice in his last three games. Hear from Hedman on how he's feeling as the Lightning continue their early-season surge.

And while the offense generated six goals in Vegas, Head Coach Jon Cooper credits much of the success to goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy, who came up with several key saves to keep the Golden Knights from gaining momentum.
