Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget on February 1, setting two records in the process. She became the first finance minister to present the Budget nine times in a row, and the first to do so on a Sunday. But despite the reform pitch ahead of the speech, the Budget was widely seen as lacklustre, with markets reacting negatively.
