This morning (Wednesday) on 'Deise Today', Damien spoke to local road traffic inspector Paul Donohoe about a garda operation today targeting drivers using mobile phones.
During the chat, Damien also raised the issue of the new static speed camera on the N25 at Glenmore which has resulted in many, many people receive speeding fine/penalty points notices in recent weeks.
Many of the complaints from those affected are to do with the perceived inadequate signage, something Insp Donohoe didn't particularly agree on.
He said safety of road users was also paramount and particularly, reducing the number of fatalities on that section of the road.
