Welcome to Cyrus Says!

On this episode of Cyrus Says, Richa Chadha joins Cyrus Broacha to talk about 'Musafiri', her new documentary series that explores Mumbai beyond the usual landmarks and tourist stories.

Richa talks about writing and creating the series herself, uncovering Mumbai’s surprising connections to Armenian history, the opium trade, HSBC, iconic food spots, local communities and the city’s original inhabitants. She also explains why she wanted 'Musafiri' to feel personal and conversational rather than like a conventional history documentary. Pasted text Pasted text

The conversation also goes into motherhood, life with Ali Fazal, reading, Indian identity and diversity, and one particularly bizarre date Richa once had with a famous actor who apparently hadn’t read a proper book in years. Pasted text Pasted text
