Ames Tribune staff writer Dylan Montz recently sat down with Iowa State football coach Matt Campbell to cover a number of topics. Campbell discussed the highs and lows of the 2018 season and how the emergence of Brock Purdy at quarterback changed the complexion of the team midseason.

Campbell also dove into the validation given to the program by Hakeem Butler and David Montgomery leaving for the NFL, as well as what new additions to the staff, Tom Manning and Matt Caponi, add to the foundation already in place.
