Did you know Australia is home to two distinct First Nations people?  

Across a tiny stretch of water from the tip of Cape York Peninsula in Queensland's north, lies a group of islands which is home to Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Torres Strait Islander elders campaigned many years ago to ensure the survival and maintenance of their customs and traditions, collectively referred to as Ailan Kastom. 

In this podcast, actor Jimi Bani, a Wagadagam and Peidu man, provides a window into  Torres Strait Islander cultural protocols.
