Today's testimony included allegations that Diddy dressed like a Muslim woman during "Freak Offs." Sharay Hayes testified he did not recognize Diddy and Cassie Ventura during their first “Freak Off.” On his next invitation, Hayes said he flipped on the TV and saw a welcome message for Mr. Combs. As a fan, he then put the pieces together. Hayes said he participated in eight to 12 “Freak Offs.” He added that it was difficult to focus under Combs’ stare, and when he failed to perform, Combs asked him to leave. David James, one of Sean "Diddy" Combs' assistants, testified that he ran into Suge Knight with one of Combs’ security guards while picking up snacks for Combs at Mel’s Diner. James said when they returned, the guard informed Combs of the sighting. Combs then grabbed several guns and demanded they return to the diner. There are reports that Briian Laundrie's parents  “gutted and renovated” their son’s room while he was missing, evan as Gabby family was still searching for the missing 22-year-old.  Nichole Schmidt spoke with Taylor Lautner and his wife on their podcast, “The Squeeze,” revealing the new stunning claim. An individual who claimed to have been in the Laundrie home at the time, said it was obvious that something was “wrong” with Laundrie’s mother, Roberta's mental health.  Gabby Petito's parents have long claimed Christopher and Roberta Laundrie knew their son, Brian, murdered his girlfriend. Petito and Laundrie were on a cross-country road trip last year when Gabby went missing. Her body was later found in Wyoming, and her death ruled homicide by strangulation. Laundrie returned to his parents' Florida home, alone, driving a van owned by Petito. The FBI says Laundrie confessed to killing Petito in a notebook found with his belongings. The Petito family accuse the Laundries of concealing information a bout their daughter's death and, say the Laundries also tried to hide their son from law enforcement. The student informs the police that Coach Formella began sending him flirty messages on the school’s chat system after she became his tutor in the fall of 2023. He explains that their conversations shifted to text after the teacher provided him with her phone number so they could play a game together. Records show numerous FaceTime calls between the two, with the victim stating that their relationship outside of school culminated in a rape in December. Formella denies raping the boy or having a romantic relationship with him, asserting that she is a “good person” and that “everybody” comes after her because of her looks. She admits to developing a close relationship with the student and claims that she “cares too much about him,” but simultaneously labels him a stalker. Formella insists she did not send the texts, arguing that her kindness towards the boy allowed him to break into her unattended phone, send the texts to himself, and then delete them from her phone to later use as blackmail. Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, the government’s star witness, took the stand today for the first day of cross-examination and faced questioning by Sean "Diddy" Combs’ $10 million defense team.  She previously spent two days detailing the alleged physical, emotional, and sexual abuse she says she endured during her decade-long relationship with the disgraced rap mogul. At the center of Combs’ defense today was the claim that Ventura was never coerced into participating in "freak offs," as she testified earlier. Austin Metcalf's father says he hoped he could pray with the family of his son’s alleged killer, but ended up being escorted out of a press conference by police.  During a track meet between Memorial High School and Centennial High School in Frisco, Texas, light rain begins to fall, and athletes take cover under tents with their respective teams at Kuykendall Stadium. Memorial High School athlete Austin Metcalf finds Centennial High School athlete Karmelo Anthony under the Memorial High School tent and tells him he needs to move from under his team's tent. When Anthony refuses, words are exchanged, and Anthony tells Metcalf, "Touch me and see what happens." Centennial High School's Karmelo Anthony allegedly reaches inside his bag, grabs a knife, stabs Austin Metcalf in the chest, and runs away. As Metcalf's twin brother, Hunter, comes to his brother's aid, witnesses point out Anthony to a nearby middle school resource officer, who chases the suspect down. The school resource officer confronts Karmelo Anthony, telling him to put his hands up in the air. Anthony tells the officer, "I was protecting myself," claiming Metcalf "put his hands on" him. New claims emerge in the charges against the Florida real estate brothers,  twins Oren and Alon Alexander and their older brother Tal,  as a woman reportedly texts a friend that she feared the family of the brothers, that they would have her killed.    The Alexander brothers are accused of using their wealth and influence to create opportunities to sexually assault women. More than 40 women have come forward with allegations, and investigators are urging others who believe they were assaulted to contact authorities. Attorneys for the brothers say they plan to plead not guilty. If convicted, they face life in prison. The three brothers come from a high-profile real estate background. Tal and Oren brokered a $47 million deal for their father in 2012 and a $240 million Manhattan condo sale in 2019. Alon attended law school before joining the family's private security company, Kent Security. Each brother has been accused of forcible rape by at least 10 women. All three are indicted on federal sex trafficking charges, while Oren and Alon also face sexual battery charges in Florida. The Alexanders have denied the allegations in civil cases, with their representatives suggesting the accusers are attempting to extort them. Court documents detail accounts from alleged victims. "Victim-1" claims she was raped by Tal Alexander and other men in 2021 at a home in the Hamptons. She says she felt unwell after drinking a glass of wine, then recalled Tal holding her down as another man entered the room. She later woke up in a separate room, where a camcorder was set up. Another alleged victim, referred to as "Victim-2," told investigators that Oren raped her. She says Oren gave her a cocktail, after which she felt strange and struggled to walk. Alon then took her to a bedroom to lie down. She recalls waking up to find Oren in the room. Syracuse, New York, five underclassmen on the Westhill High School lacrosse team were excited when older teammates invited them to watch a rival school's match and get dinner at McDonald’s. After the game, while driving home, the car’s driver appeared to get lost and pulled over. Suddenly, masked attackers—armed with at least one knife and possibly a gun—emerged from a wooded area and tried to kidnap the boys. Four escaped, but the masked men captured one. Outnumbered 11 to one, the boy had his hands tied and a pillowcase placed over his head before the assailants forced him into the trunk of a car at knifepoint. The kidnappers taunted him as they drove to another secluded, wooded area and left him on the ground—alone and fearing for his life. Still bound and blindfolded, the boy heard the attackers return. He didn’t know if they planned to release him or kill him. Instead, they revealed it was a prank. The attackers were upperclassmen on the lacrosse team staging a hazing ritual. The entire incident was recorded on video. The next morning, the victim’s family reported the incident to the school, as students circulated the video and rumors of the mock kidnapping sparked a social media firestorm in the community. A school resource officer reported the incident to the Sheriff’s Office, triggering an investigation. Dr. Sanford Sherman and his wife of three decades, Aliza Sherman, are going through a contentious divorce from accusations of infidelity to money changing accounts. Aliza Sherman receives another blow when she learns her attorney is suspended and she needs to hire another attorney.  Gregory Moore of the Stafford Law Company takes over her case, and Aliza notices red flags from the start. Moore does not prepare for each court appearance, and he continues to ask for continuances,  until the judge finally says there will be no more continuances.  The day before their first day of trial, Attorney Gregory Moore texts Aliza Sherman  to come to his downtown Cleveland office to discuss the case. Standing outside the Stafford Law Company in downtown Cleveland, Aliza Sherman tells   Moore she is going back to wait in her car because it is too cold.  As Aliza Sherman walks back towards her car, she is confronted by a masked individual wearing dark clothing and gloves, the assailant circles behind Aliza then chases the 53-year-old and stabs her over 10 times. She is stabbed her face, neck, right ear, and eight times in her back. As the masked assailant leaves the scene, the mortally wounded nurse calls 911. A Columbia, Missouri, father receives a call from his teenage daughter’s high school, reporting she is absent after missing all her classes. He calls his 15-year-old several times. After receiving no answer, he rushes home from work to check on her. He hopes she simply overslept or missed the bus. But she isn’t there, and some of her belongings, including her phone, are also missing. The teen is immediately reported missing. Police believe she intentionally prepared to leave home. After searches turn up nothing and her phone remains unused since the day she vanished, investigators begin interviewing her friends. Fellow students say she may have been talking to someone online. More than four months later, police find the girl cowering naked in a closet in a Fort Collins, Colorado, home, where she had been forced to work in a snow shoveling business. Sean “Diddy” Combs lost his bid to delay trial, and jury selection begins today as celebrities he once partied with gather for the Met Gala. Combs appeared in court wearing glasses and a pullover after Judge Arun Subramanian allowed him to avoid prison attire during the proceedings. The judge also approved a written jury questionnaire but limited it to 30 questions. The defense seeks insight into potential jurors’ views on topics including multiple sex partners, cheating, intimate partner violence, drug use, rap, and illegal firearm ownership. Prosecutors may call Jennifer Lopez to testify as they attempt to introduce evidence related to the 1999 Club NY shooting. Lopez and Combs fled the club after gunfire wounded three people. Combs’ defense team denies all rape allegations and argues that he lives a consensual swinger lifestyle. Attorney Marc Agnifilo told the court that Combs’ behavior is legal and misunderstood. Prosecutors intend to show that Combs used his businesses to host “Freak Offs” involving male prostitutes and women allegedly coerced into sex acts. At Combs’ last pretrial hearing, prosecutors said he rejected a plea deal. Federal prosecutor Madison Smyser confirmed the offer but declined to disclose the terms. Opening statements are scheduled for May 12. Shari Franke's book, The House of My Mother: A Daughter's Quest for Freedom, details her discovery of the relationship between her mother, Ruby Franke, and business partner Jodi Hildebrandt. In her memoir, Shari says that after her mother’s arrest, she found messages on her laptop confirming the true nature of their relationship. The abuse the children endured came to light when a 12-year-old boy climbed out of a window and ran to neighbors, begging for food and water. The boy is the son of Ruby Franke, a popular blogger known for the YouTube channel 8 Passengers. The home belonged to Franke’s business partner, Jodi Hildebrandt. Neighbors called police. Officers said the boy appeared emaciated and malnourished. They also noted he had “deep lacerations from being tied up with rope” and duct tape around his wrists and ankles. After searching Hildebrandt’s home, police found Franke’s 10-year-old daughter in a similar condition. Both children were taken to a hospital. Franke’s parenting channel, 8 Passengers, which once had over 2 million followers, offered parenting advice. In one video, she admitted to withholding food as a form of punishment. Both women were convicted of aggravated child abuse. After two people were shot on the set of  Rust, many predicted that the Alec Baldwin produced movie would simply remain unfinished.  Director of photography Halyna Hutchins died, and director Joel Souza was wounded. Reports say first assistant director David Halls picked up one of three prop guns set up by armorer Hannah Gutierrez and yelled, “cold gun.” "Cold gun" is industry slang meaning the gun does not contain live rounds. Halls gave the gun to Baldwin, who used it to rehearse a scene. According to the search warrant, Baldwin aimed the weapon at the camera when he fired, striking Hutchins and Souza. Reports suggest crew members used the weapon for target practice earlier that morning. A judge dismissed charges against Baldwin. The actor sued and launched a reality show. *New Kohberger Evidence Reveals What Idaho Roommates Saw the Night of the Murders According to court documents, one of the surviving roommates, identified as "D.M."—referring to Dylan Mortensen—saw one of the victims lying on the floor hours before calling 911. On the night of the killings, around 4 a.m., D.M. saw a man dressed in all black wearing a ski mask. She called and texted her roommates but only received a response from "B.F."—identified in the documents as Bethany Funke—who told her to run into her bedroom. As Mortensen ran toward Funke’s room, she allegedly saw Xana Kernodle lying on the floor of her bedroom, with her head near the wall and her feet pointing toward the door. The two survivors exchanged more texts throughout the night. One of the first and most vocal women to speak out about Jeffrey Epstein's sexual abuse of young girls has died. Virginia Roberts Giuffre's family first announced she took her own life, but her father is asking for her death be investigated. He tells TMZ, Virginia said if she ever died by suicide, not to believe it. Giuffre's attorney told The Sun there were no signs she was contemplating suicide, saying, "There's suicide and then there’s misadventure." Four individuals connected to the Epstein abuse scandal are now dead, including Jeffery Epstein. He committed suicide in prison, but many still question if that's true. Epstein is alleged to have abused dozens of victims by causing them to engage in sex acts with him at his mansion in New York, and at his estate in Palm Beach, Florida. The victims - all underage girls at the time of the alleged conduct - were given hundreds of dollars in cash after each encounter either by Epstein, or by one of Epstein's employees.  The underage girls were initially recruited to provide Epstein with massages, and often did so nude or partially nude. These massages became increasingly sexual in nature, and would typically include one or more sex acts, as specified in the indictment. As alleged, Epstein also paid certain victims to recruit additional girls to be similarly abused. Scott Peterson was convicted of murdering his pregnant wife, Laci Peterson, and their unborn son, Conner, in 2003. He was sentenced to death, but the sentence was later overturned. He is now serving life in prison without parole. The Los Angeles Innocence Project has filed a petition to overturn Peterson’s conviction, citing new scientific evidence and witnesses who support his innocence. Attorneys with the Innocence Project argue that the break-in at the Medina home across the street from the Petersons’ and the subsequent arson of the burglars’ van were not properly investigated. They also allege potential Brady violations by the Modesto Police Department and the Stanislaus County District Attorney's Office. The attorneys further claim that medical research has advanced since Peterson’s conviction and now indicates Conner’s fetal growth was consistent with a date of death later than prosecutors presented at trial. Prosecutors maintain that Conner was likely expelled from Laci’s decaying body shortly before the remains were discovered. Wendy Williams’ guardianship battle intensified after sources alleged a judge told her she has no hope of restarting her career. Williams appeared before Judge Lisa Sokoloff, who criticized her niece, Alex Finnie, accusing her of leaking information to the media and threatening sanctions for any future conduct. Williams said she feels like she is in prison as she fights to end her court-appointed guardianship. Almost on cue, the situation escalated when Coterie, the assisted living facility where Williams lives on the fifth floor, called police and claimed Finnie had kidnapped her. According to a report Coterie filed with the NYPD, Finnie evaded staff and took Williams out to an Italian restaurant. After police were called, Williams and Finnie cited the incident as evidence of how restrictive the guardianship has allegedly become. Speaking to paparazzi outside the facility, Finnie noted that Williams’ guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, claims Williams can come and go freely and that no family visits are blocked. Finnie challenged that, pointing out that staff escorted Williams to the elevator, yet Coterie still called police. “Clearly, they are lying to me when they say I can go out and do what I want to do,” Williams told the interviewer. Williams said she can only leave the facility’s fifth-floor memory unit with permission and an attendant to unlock the elevator. This week, a judge approved an emergency petition filed by Williams’ attorney to move her from what she called a “luxury prison” to a less restrictive environment. New Englanders remain on edge as reports of a possible serial killer on the loose provoke fear and rumors on social media. Since early March, the bodies of eight people — mostly women turn up in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Authorities can only identify half of the victims. All 8 victims bodies are in various stages of decomposition. Law enforcement across all three states continue to refute that the series of remains do not connect to a serial killer. Especially after police arrest a man on accusations he murders a woman whose body is found in a suitcase near a cemetery in Groton, Connecticut.
