Twenty-eight-year-old Katie Suarez has died after being stabbed twice in the neck during an apparently random attack while jogging along a Brooklyn waterfront path. In upstate New York, eighteen-year-old Raymond Wright Junior has been convicted of second-degree murder for strangling his fourteen-year-old girlfriend, Samantha Humphrey, and discarding her body in the Mohawk River over a pregnancy dispute. In Georgia, thirty-five-year-old Jason Christopher Campbell was sentenced to ten years in prison for burning his mother's body in their backyard after falsely telling dispatchers she had been abducted by aliens.
