New Orleans police executing a search warrant related to a missing person, find a dismembered body. The headless torso was found inside a freezer, which was inside a bus, parked next to a home. Drop cord had been run to the bus to power the freezer. The remains have been identified as Julia Dardar 36. An autopsy determined that Dardar died of blunt force injuries to her head and neck along with asphyxia due to manual strangulation. Benjamin Beale, 34, has been charged with second-degree murder.

Christine Wonsley's legal team has issued subpoenas to several major social media and technology companies. It's  in an effort to get records of her son's accounts as the investigation into her 18-year-old son's death continues.  

The court documents show information is being sought from  Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Snapchat, TikTok and  Life360.

The petition, asks for messages, photos and videos sent and received through Wells' accounts. They also want any GPS data location and timestamps. Nolan Wells's body was found on Horn Island two days after he went missing. 

The companies have 21 days to comply.

Bryan Kohberger says he is innocent in the murders of four University of Idaho students, and wants to withdraw his guilty plea to go to trial.  Kohberger is serving four consecutive life sentences.  In a written statement,  Kohberger declared: “My actual innocence is my truth, and the plea, hinged on by false promises and blatant disinformation, MUST be withdrawn.”  He has filed a petition for post‑conviction relief  to have his guilty plea rescinded. 

 Kohberger claims that  he was coerced into pleading guilty, misled about the con  consequences of the plea, told false promises about life in prison and death row conditions, and  exculpatory evidence was withheld.  Despite his early agreement to forego appeals, under Idaho law Kohberger  can still seek post‑conviction relief if ineffective assistance of counsel or other constitutional violations can be proven.
