It's been four years since father of three, Eric Richins, died from a fentanyl overdose. We now know his ingestion of the drug was planned by his wife Kouri. A jury took just under 3 hours to convict Richins. During the trial, she addressed the court and her children, saying she doesn't want anyone telling them their father was murdered, and for the three of them to look after each other. Then it was the children's turn. Letters written to the court, read by therapists, laid out the depth of the children's lack of warmth for their mother. They told their mother and the judge that if Kouri was released from jail, they would be afraid. Now Kouri is planning her appeal, accusing the judge of bias. The judge has recused himself.
