Former labor and delivery nurse Lindsay Clancy returns to court as prosecutors determine whether to retry her for the tragic strangling deaths of her three children following a deadlocked jury. Prosecutors in Tompkins County have reopened a 2024 Cornell University gang rape investigation following new allegations brought forward in a civil lawsuit. An Ohio man faces a nine-count federal indictment after allegedly coercing, sexually exploiting, and murdering a 17-year-old Indiana girl he met through online gaming. Sydney Silvagni reports.

Lindsay Clancy Returns to Court as Prosecutors Decide on Retrial in Strangling Case | Crime Alert 09.29.26

Two University of Mississippi students found dead in separate location, but both have kratom nearby.  Kratom is a tropical evergreen tree, native to Southeast Asia.  It's extract act as a psychoactive substanced. It's effects depending on the dose: at low doses it can act as a stimulant, and at higher doses it can act as a sedative. 

 As it it is not conclusion that kratom was a contributing factor in their deaths, but the investigation continues.  The students were identified as Aidan Hamilton, a freshman from Englewood, Colorado, and Robert Strang, a junior from Atlanta.
