Ghislaine Maxwell's latest bid to overturn her sex trafficking conviction has been rejected, leaving her 20-year prison sentence in place. The judge called her claims a "complete miscarriage of justice" based on speculation and falsehoods.  Maxwell argued that newly released Justice Department files proved her innocence, but the judge ruled that those documents actually incriminated her further. Legal experts state she has virtually run out of standard legal avenues to challenge her 2002 conviction, leaving her future dependent on the potential for a presidential clemency.

Maxwell was transferred from a facility in Tallahassee, Florida, to the minimum-security Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Bryan, Texas.
