Drew Peterson, the former Illinois police officer convicted of murdering his third wife, Kathleen Savio, and currently serving a 78-year sentence. He is trying to overturn his conviction. So far all his appeals have been denied. Peterson is arguing he received ineffective legal counsel and was barred from testifying in his own defense.
Peterson continues to be the prime suspect in the 2007 disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Ann Peterson. She has never been found.
