A successful children's author and her husband are arrested after their adopted daughter is hospitalized with open wounds, sepsis, liver and kidney failure. Jennifer and Joseph Wolfthal have been accused of child abuse, child neglect with bodily harm, and domestic violence battery. The pair plead guilty to their charges.
