Eliza Fletcher, a Memphis teacher and mother, is reported missing the morning of September 2, 2022 after she doesn't return home from her morning jog. A search is launched shortly thereafter and comes to an end on September 5th when her body is found by police. Suspect, Cleotha Abston has been arrested and charged for her murder.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos continues to say he believes the Nancy Guthrie investigation is moving forward.  Speaking to reporters, Nanos says while things are not where they need to be, but progress is being made. Is it?   On Thursday, Nanos responded to a question of whether Nancy was still alive with, 'I have nothing to indicate she's dead. I don't have a body. I don't have a burial site. I don't have any note.'

The next day, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office released two ransom notes that we have been discussing for six months. In the second note, the write reveals Nancy has died and "was in nature."  

Many are questioning mistakes made in the investigation and whether the outcome of this case would have been different, had it been handled appropriately. 

Anyone with information on the abduction of Nancy Guthrie is asked to call 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or 88-CRIME.

Nolan Wells’ official autopsy is now complete, but remains under seal. It's headed to a secret Grand Jury.  We do know the results of the Wells family's independent autopsy. It concluded the cause and manner of death are undetermined pending further investigation. The pathologist noted advanced decomposition, removal of key organs during the state autopsy, and an inconclusive red discoloration on the back of Wells’ head. No fractures or deep tissue injuries were identified.   

A newly enhanced recording of a July 4 emergency call from Wells’ friends reportedly includes phrases like “Is he dead?” and “Wake up.”  It's not known if that those word apply to Nolan.

As the investigation continues, many connected to it are getting death threats and the FBI is investigating.
