Convicted Killer Alex Murdaugh is a popular man behind bars, receiving more than 30 messages from women. 

One dated March 6, 2023, from Darla says the Murdaughs were a "beautiful family that others could only dream of" and she expresses her belief that Alex Murdaugh is not a murderer.   

Others are asking Murdaugh to reply. So far, there is no indication that Murdaugh has. 

In the meantime, the courthouse where Murdaugh was tried, is now giving tours.

Alex Murdaugh, Killer, Swamped With Love Letters Behind Bars, Dodging Payouts to Victims

Bryan Kohberger says he is innocent in the murders of four University of Idaho students, and wants to withdraw his guilty plea to go to trial.  Kohberger is serving four consecutive life sentences.  In a written statement,  Kohberger declared: “My actual innocence is my truth, and the plea, hinged on by false promises and blatant disinformation, MUST be withdrawn.”  He has filed a petition for post‑conviction relief  to have his guilty plea rescinded. 

 Kohberger claims that  he was coerced into pleading guilty, misled about the con  consequences of the plea, told false promises about life in prison and death row conditions, and  exculpatory evidence was withheld.  Despite his early agreement to forego appeals, under Idaho law Kohberger  can still seek post‑conviction relief if ineffective assistance of counsel or other constitutional violations can be proven.

Savannah Guthrie makes an emotional, direct appeal to her missing mother's captor as Sherriff Chris Nanos also gives his first public statement in some time. In a new Instagram,  Savannah Guthrie urges the kidnappers to "make the right choice" and tell the family where to look for her.

She says her family is in agony. She also pointed out, "We will never stop looking for her." 

Just after Savannah's mention went live, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said he's "still positive" the  case will be resolved.  Investigators continue to dig through evidence. Nanos says,  "We have so much DNA to sort through."
