Elijah, just a few days short of a 4-year-old, and a 21-year-old woman were hit by bullets at about 8:15 p.m. Both were taken to hospitals. The woman, who hasn’t been identified, is expected to survive. Police said the shooting began with an argument in front of the property where the party was held — an AirBnB the boy’s family rented to celebrate the special occasion.
