A California mother is sentenced to prison after prosecutors say she left her two young sons strapped in a hot car while she went inside a medical spa, leading to the death of her 1-year-old child.

A New Jersey man is accused of chasing down and killing his estranged partner, and killing her parents in a pre-dawn shooting before turning the gun on himself, leaving three young children inside the home.
