A 10-year-old boy is detained after police say he stabbed a 7-year-old girl three times with a kitchen knife on the playground of an elementary school in Mountain View, California.

A state investigation in Connecticut finds a man shot by police waited ten extra minutes for an ambulance after the first one sent for him was used to transport a police officer experiencing an anxiety attack.
