In Part Two of this episode of Core Conversations with Natalie Baggio, Lincoln White-Day and his mother, Lorraine Day, continue sharing the story of his recovery following a life-threatening electrical accident.

Lorraine reflects on the uncertainty of those first days, the emotional reactions from health care professionals who saw Lincoln walking and talking again, and the coordinated care he received across Corewell Health in Southwest and West Michigan. Lincoln's recovery continued through rehabilitation and weeks of speech, memory and neurotherapy.

Just six weeks after the accident, Lincoln was able to leave for his study-abroad experience, an outcome that once seemed far from certain.

After a sailboat mast came into contact with power lines, bystanders performed CPR until emergency crews arrived. Lincoln was taken to Corewell Health in St. Joseph before being airlifted to Grand Rapids for intensive burn care.

Lincoln talks about what he remembers from the accident, the injuries he experienced and the care that helped him make a remarkable recovery. Just six weeks later, he traveled to Morocco for a study-abroad experience.
