Julie explains how you move from unconscious incompetency to unconscious competency step by step on the competence staircase and how in life there is a continuous cycle of learning to move through across a multitude of areas.

At each step in the learning process, there are choices to be made and understanding the competency staircase is vital for both learner and educator.
