New Museum in Ireland honors Irish-American Medal of Honor recipients

A museum in County Cork, Ireland is highlighting the contribution people of Irish heritage have made to the U. S. armed forces.  The American Legion post that created the Irish Veterans Museum claims that since 1893, a remarkable proportion of U. S. Medal of Honor recipients -- 2,100 of 3,500 -- have been soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines of Irish heritage.
