The Suffolk Park Community Association is pushing for progress on the Southern Gateway Corridor, a long-term plan that brings together concerns around flooding, traffic congestion, coastal erosion, water quality, active transport and emergency access.
Association President Kelly Minahan explains why residents believe a coordinated approach is needed, what progress has been made so far and why recent support from Byron Shire Council could mark an important turning point for the project.
