Supporters of Australia’s wild brumbies gathered in Ballina as part of a nationwide campaign opposing the aerial culling of wild horses in Kosciuszko National Park.
The rally called for greater consultation with communities, Traditional Owners, rehomers and sanctuaries over how brumby populations are managed.
We spoke with Kate Andrew from Wild Horse Protection Australia and rally organiser Acacia Gaia about why they’re campaigning to protect the horses and what they want to see change.
