We speak to Greens councillor Michelle Lowe from the Byron Shire Council.

She will be discussing a Notice of Motion, calling for an independent study into the financial impacts of tourism on the region. If adopted, the proposal would see Council partner with a university to carry out a comprehensive look at how tourism is shaping Byron’s economy—and what that means for the future of the Shire.
