This week, we hear why Byron Shire Council says the Northern Rivers Rail Trail is still alive despite missing out on $42 million in federal funding. We also explore plans for Gulgan Village, a proposed new housing development near Brunswick Heads that could become Byron Shire's newest suburb.

We'll head to Suffolk Park to learn more about the community-led Southern Gateway Corridor vision, which aims to tackle long-standing issues including flooding, traffic congestion, coastal erosion and emergency access.
