It’s been a big week locally and in federal politics this week. We hear about the long-awaited national climate risk assessment report as well as this week’s buyback house auction in Lismore and of the argument in support of the NSW government’s proposal to allow magistrates to be referred to as judges, with former magistrate David Heilpern explaining the differences and similarities.
On Thursday, protestors took to the roof top of MP Justine Elliot’s electorate office in the Tweed. Ms Elliot is the long running federal Labor member for Richmond and the protestors were rallying for stronger national government action in support of Palestine, we hear more from lead protest spokesperson, former Byron Shire Councillor Cate Coorey.
