12:00 pm - Community Newsroom

Coming up on this week's show...

We take a look at a new app helping locals and visitors discover more of Byron Bay, from live music and markets to local businesses and experiences.

We also head to Mullumbimby, where a proposed housing development at 57 Station Street has sparked community opposition over drainage, flooding and the suitability of the site.

Further afield, world leaders and ministers have gathered in Fiji for this year's Pre-COP climate talks. We'll hear why campaigners are calling for greater attention to the Pacific Islands and the growing threat of climate disasters.

And we travel to Victoria, where the state's historic treaty with First Nations peoples is facing an uncertain future, as the Liberal opposition pledges to repeal the agreement if elected.

Plus, we're heading into outer space, where scientists have discovered some of the oldest stars in the Milky Way, dating back around 12 billion years. We find out what they could reveal about the history of our galaxy.
