Last week’s class action resulted in a $93,000 payout from police for a lead claimant strip-searched at Splendour in the Grass 2018 and today we hear from a local lawyer who also represented someone strip-searched at the same festival that year to find out how the two cases compare and contrast.
Seven activists from Australia who were part of a protest flotilla trying to deliver aid to Gaza are still in Jordan, after Israeli troops bombed, then stormed the ships before detaining them, allegedly torturing at least one, and then sent them to Jordan.
We hear from Northern Rivers local Anandan McEwen, whose brother Surya McEwen is the very activist alleged to have been captured, detained, tortured and sent to Jordan.
