Assange approved for appeal against US extradition

View descriptionShare

Turning to London, where the campaign against Julian Assange’s possible extradition to the US has experienced a win, thanks to London’s High Court ruling US assurances over his case unsatisfactory.

Two senior judges in a short ruling have said they will allow Mr Assange’s appeal to go ahead, with an exact date yet to be announced.

Speaking outside London’s High Court immediately afterward, Stella Assange, lawyer and wife to Julian Assange and mother of his two children, was flanked by a jostling crowd of supporters and press.

Father to Julian Assange, John Shipton, also sat in London’s High Court observing his son Julian Assange's appeal against extradition to the United States.
