Join us for the July presentation of Community Connections on WTIC 1080 AM! Vice President of Marketing and Development Maura Cook reminds us that food insecurity is not just a problem families face during the holidays. 

Cook mentions how the Connecticut Summer meals program is a collaborative project, and even communities are getting involved to make sure that all, even those who receive SNAP or EBT benefits, have access to fresh and healthy food. 

While the end of the school year is normally a cause for celebration, some children mourn the loss of their guaranteed meals. Julieth Callejas, the Executive Director of End Hunger CT!, joins Cook to speak about how she's working on the frontlines of the Connecticut Summer meals program and how it's helping school age children get the healthy meals they need to help them start the next school year right.
