**Community Connection: A Day of Service for Gary, Indiana**

This week on Community Connection, we're talking about the issues that matter to you and keeping you informed about what's happening in and around Indy. Our guest, Demetrice Hicks, is the Indiana Social Action Director from Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated, and he's here to tell us about a statewide day of service for Gary, Indiana. This Saturday, the fraternity is spearheading an initiative to help their neighbors in Gary, who were hit hard by a storm in August. They're collecting donations of non-perishable food, cleaning supplies, and hygiene items, and they're asking for the community's help.

The day of service is happening this Saturday, and Demetrius is sharing the details with us. He's also talking about the devastating impact of the storm on the residents of Gary and the importance of community support.
