**Community Connection: Exploring the Future of the Circle City Classic**

This week on Community Connection, we're diving into the world of the Circle City Classic, a beloved Indianapolis tradition that's been bringing people together for decades. But as the city's demographics and interests change, the classic's future is uncertain. Our host, Tina Cosby, is joined by a lively panel of callers, including Wisdom Cole, Senior National Director of Advocacy for the NAACP, who shares his insights on the importance of community engagement and voting rights.

The conversation touches on the challenges facing the Circle City Classic, including declining attendance and a lack of enthusiasm among younger generations. Our callers share their thoughts on how to revitalize the event, from incorporating star power to finding new and innovative ways to engage the community. Wisdom Cole emphasizes the need for collective action and community involvement, highlighting the power of the "power of five" – taking responsibility for five people in your community to ensure they're registered, educated, and voting.

As the discussion unfolds, our host and callers explore the complexities of hosting events in downtown Indianapolis, including the impact of gentrification and the need for creative solutions to stay relevant. The conversation also delves into the world of food trucks and how they're changing the way people experience food and entertainment.
