**Get Ready to Make Your Voice Heard!**

Host Tina Cosby and Contributing Analyst James Patterson discuss how this weekend is shaping up to be a pivotal moment in the Indianapolis community, with early voting and Souls to the Polls events taking place across the city. As the election heats up, our guest, Marshawn Wolley, President/CEO Black Onyx Management, Community Activist, shares his insights on the importance of supporting IPS and the community, while also addressing concerns about charter schools and the operating referendum. Meanwhile, community leaders are working together to mobilize voters and provide resources to make it easier for everyone to cast their ballots.

In this episode, we dive into the details of the IPS operating referendum, discussing how the funds will be used to support teachers, special education, and work-based learning experiences. We also explore the impact of the state's property tax reform on local schools and the importance of community involvement in the democratic process. Our guest, Marshawn, emphasizes the need for the community to come together and support IPS, rather than letting the state take control.

The conversation also touches on the role of charter schools and the concerns surrounding the operating referendum. Marshawn shares his thoughts on how the referendum will benefit the community, including the hiring of more teachers and the improvement of special education services. We also hear from community leaders, including Trustee Annette Johnson and Sean Johnson, who are working to mobilize voters and provide resources to make it easier for everyone to cast their ballots.

Rounding out our distinguished panel of guests, Ms. Cordelia Lewis-Burks, Veteran Democratic Organizer, Political Strategist, Community Voting Activist.  Ms. Cordelia stresses the importance of voting and not letting anyone sway you from that directive and more. As we head into the final weekend of early voting, it's more important than ever to make your voice heard. Join us as we discuss the importance of community involvement in the democratic process and how you can get involved. Listen to the full episode to hear more about the IPS operating referendum, the role of charter schools, and the efforts of community leaders to mobilize voters.
