**Community Connection: A Week of Firsts and Reflections**

This week on Community Connection, we're talking about a week of firsts and reflections. From a historic election to a marathon that's taking over the city, we're covering it all. Our host, Tina Cosby, is joined by a special guest, Abdul Hakim Shabazz, a Political Journalist, Editor and Publisher of IndyPolitics.Org, Commentator, Professor, Talk Show Host, WIBC's Abdul At Large (Saturdays 1:00-3:00) to discuss the recent election results and what they mean for the future of politics. We'll also be talking about a free conference that's all about managing diabetes and taking care of your kidneys.

In this episode, Abdul shares his insights on the election results, including the surprising wins and losses, and what they say about the state of politics today. We'll also be discussing the importance of voter turnout and how it can make a difference in the outcome of elections. Additionally, we'll be talking with Sandra Edmonds, Chronic Disease Nutritionist, Organizer, Too Sweet for Your Own Good Conference, about a free conference that's happening next Saturday, where you can learn about managing diabetes and taking care of your kidneys. This conference is a valuable resource for anyone who wants to learn more about diabetes and how to prevent it.

But that's not all - we'll also be discussing the recent reports of ICE agents being spotted in the area, and what it might mean for the community. And, of course, we'll be talking about sports, including the latest on the Colts and the Pacers. Our guest, Danny Bridges, Sports Columnist, Indianapolis Recorder, will be joining us to share his thoughts on the latest news and updates.
