**Community Connection: Navigating the Complexities of Sexual Wellness**

In this thought-provoking episode of Community Connection, hosts Tina Cosby and Eric G. open the show discussing the Indianapolis Urban League hosting their Annual Equal Opportunity Day Luncheon at the Indiana Convention Center.  Tina has a chance to talk with the keynote speaker, Voting Rights Advocate and Former Georgia Politician Stacey Abrams. A little later Atty. Political Journalist & Commentator, Professor, Talk Show Host, WIBC's Abdul At Large (Saturdays 1pm - 3pm). Abdul - Hakim Shabazz joins the show.  Abdul discusses the latest on what happened at the GOP State Convention this past weekend in Fort Wayne, along with the party giving the boot to incumbent Secretary of State Diego Morales. Next up Dr. Denise Hayes, Psychologist, President, IN Chapter, Association of Black Psychologists and her guest Dr. James Wadley, Lincoln University (Philadelphia) Professor and Chair of the Counseling & Human Services Dept, Marriage, Family and Sexuality Therapist. They discuss the often-taboo topic of sexual wellness, exploring how societal expectations, social media, and personal experiences shape our understanding of intimacy and relationships. The conversation is a refreshing and honest discussion that challenges listeners to rethink their assumptions about sex and relationships.

The episode begins with the importance of informed participation in the voting process, with Abdul respectfully disagreeing with Stacy Abrams' call to action to get more people involved in voting. He argues that more informed participation is key, rather than simply more participation. The conversation then shifts to a discussion about the complexities of sexual wellness, including how social media can both positively and negatively impact our perceptions of sex and relationships.

The hosts are joined by special guests, including Dr. James Wadley, a psychologist and sexologist, who shares his expertise on the importance of open and honest conversations about sex and intimacy. He emphasizes the need for people to be willing to listen to each other and have sensitive conversations about their desires, needs, and boundaries. The conversation also touches on the importance of teaching children about sex and intimacy in a way that is developmentally appropriate and respectful.

As the episode comes to a close, listeners are left with a lot to think about and consider. If you're interested in exploring these complex topics further, tune in to this episode of Community Connection to hear the full conversation and gain a deeper understanding of the importance of open and honest communication in relationships.
