The ASX200 rose about half a percent to just above 8,900, its best week in four months, driven by financials and consumer discretionary while tech and utilities slipped. Wall Street rebounded overnight as TSMC ignited a rally in chipmakers, lifting tech heavyweights while small caps continued to outperform. Goldman Sachs traders also notched a record-breaking performance. In Europe, shares climbed to fresh record highs, led by gains in technology and financial stocks.
