Markets brace for key earnings and data | PM 26 Oct 26

The Australian share market recovered from an early selloff to finish Monday in positive territory as investors braced for a blockbuster earnings week. Materials and energy stocks led the recovery after a brutal week, while tech shares also bounced. With US earnings reports, central bank decisions, and local inflation data on the agenda, markets remain cautious heading into what promises to be one of the busiest weeks of the year.

Steve Daghlian and Laura Besarati are Market Analysts at CommSec. Each episode, they break down the day's market movements and explain what the numbers really mean.
