Word of the Day: “Lord, Save Me” (Matthew 14:29–32)

Today’s Word of the Day closes our week‑long reflection on Matthew 14 — the moment Jesus walks on water and Peter steps out in faith. We journey through Peter’s bold obedience, his sudden fear, and the miracle that followed. Jesus says “Come,” and Peter walks on water… until he becomes overwhelmed by the wind around him. As he begins to sink, he cries out, “Lord, save me,” and immediately Jesus reaches out and catches him.

In this message, we explore four powerful themes:
• The Command & the Act — Peter takes a profound step of faith at Jesus’ word.
• Fear & Sinking — Like us, he becomes distracted by what was always around him.
• Rescue & Rebuke — Jesus saves him instantly before addressing his doubt.
• Calm After the Storm — Once they return to the boat, the winds settle.

We end with a beautiful reminder: even when we lose focus, even when our courage gives way to fear, we can still call out like Peter. The same Jesus who saved him will save us too — immediately, without hesitation.

A gentle thought to carry today:
Peter walked to Jesus alone, but he may have walked back hand‑in‑hand with Him.

Call unto your God — He is in the business of saving.
